Opis:: The paper presents a sample of analysis of EU project with regard to ICT application in foreign language teaching and language technology. The analysis is based upon the authors’ observation that by exploring a number of at least 75 projects in terms of their participants, framework programs and scope, some general tendencies can be revealed. The tendencies concern EU research and member state engagement in the aforementioned fields. Having analyzed the data the authors define the nature of the studied projects (educational vs. scientific), point to the most active and beneficial member states and draw models of public and private units cooperation in European research consortiums. Additionally, the analysis presents the first step for further study with regard to particular ICT-tool usage in foreign language learning/teaching in a particular EU country.

Opis:: Pomiar rozwoju społeczeństwa informacyjnego przez publiczne służby statystyczne jest sprowadzony do monitorowania sytuacji w gospodarstwach domowych oraz zastosowań ICT w przedsiębiorstwach z pominięciem sytuacji w najliczniejszej grupie mikroprzedsiębiorstw. Artykuł stanowi syntetyczną prezentację wykorzystania jako benchmarkingu wyników analizy wybranych 48 mierników stosowanych w krajach OECD i UE w zakresie życia społeczno - gospodarczego i potencjału technologii ICT w przedsiębiorstwach oraz jakościowych aspektów szerokiego spektrum luk informacyjnych i czynników krytycznych rozwoju organizacji gospodarczych. Istotną przyczyną niskiego poziomu zastosowań technologii ICT i rozwoju przedsiębiorstw MMSP jest brak świadomości użyteczności ICT oraz elementarnych metodycznych podstaw kreowania i przygotowywania projektów informatycznych. Przedstawiono istotę sześciu autorskich modeli stanowiących kluczowe, inicjatywne czynniki rozwoju społeczeństwa informacyjnego.
The measurement of the development of the information society by public statistical services is reduced to monitoring the situation in households and ICT applications in enterprises, disregarding the situation in the largest group of microenterprises. The paper is a synthetic presentation of the use s benchmarking of the results of selected 48 metrics used in OECD and EU countries in the field of socio-economic life and the potential of ICT in enterprises as well as qualitative aspects of a wide range of information gaps and critical factors for business organizations. An important reason for the low level of ICT applications and the development of Polish micro, small and medium enterprises is the lack of awareness of ICT usability and elementary methodological foundations for the creation and preparation of IT projects. The essence of six original models constituting the key, initiative factors for the development of the information society is presented.

Opis:: The CEFR encourages teachers to resort to task-based activities in the language classroom. However, some resistance has been offered to this approach, due to lack of appropriate training and difficulty in meeting some basic practical conditions, as well as in finding resources and examples of good practices, as shown in a survey conducted within the scope of ETALAGE. PETALL (Pan European Task-based Activities in Language Learning [2013-2016]) seeks to construct a transnational strategy for ICT-based task design management and aims to design tasks that can be implemented in different educational contexts. This paper offers an overview of the internal evaluation procedures to be followed at different levels and stages of the project, and discusses the objectives, underlying principles and criteria applied.

Opis:: The paper is an attempt to cover some of the issues of using information and communication technologies (ICT) in foreign languages teaching and learning (FLT/FLL) on the basis of intercultural approach. The facilities of Internet along with computer programs, audio and video devices, interactive whiteboards and telecommunications are considered. Special attention is given to the peculiarities of telecommunication projects; the example of telecommunication project realization is represented. The advantages and disadvantages of distance language learning are considered. Besides, some diffi culties that students and teachers come across during ICT-supported language education are also discussed.
