    Opis:
    The article discusses the cognitive horizons of pupils and competence of students of German philology. The author focuses on foreign language teaching purposes in the context of the curriculum, specific objectives arising from key competence in specific objectives related standard O-quirements examination, the results of the final exams of German language in 2014 and competences studen-shapes of the first year of German philology. These elements are closely related to the specific knowledge that determines success in the lernprocess. Without knowledge there is no logical action. She is the guarantor of Socrates moral and ethical conduct. Saying, "I know that I know nothing" wanted to point out that the way to get to know the wisdom of man is aware of its smal-money and thereby declared that it is only a lover of wisdom, that is, philosopher and seeker of truth, and he is not aware that he could teach.     The article discusses the activity of the Scout Publishing House “Horyzonty” since its establishment in 1958 until its inclusion into the structures of the Youth Publishing Agency in 1976. It provides a detailed characteristic of the organizational evolution of the publishing house and its publishing repertoire of books and magazines. The article draws attention to the economic aspect as well as distribution and promotional activities. Although the publishing house was connected with the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association as far as its organization and repertoire were concerned, its thematic profile evolved from discipline handbooks to popular science books and belles letters intended for kids at the age of 12–15. On the one hand, subordination to the home organization facilitated establishing contacts, which resulted in promotional actions led in cooperation with other organizations close to the Association. On the other hand, it was a burden related to the necessity of fulfilling service tasks which not always translated into an active economic balance. The analysis presented in the article is based on documents gathered in the Central Archive of Modern Records in Warsaw and publishing catalogues. It was supplemented with interviews given by the consecutive directors, press publications and data from Ruch Wydawniczy w Liczbach (Publishing Movement in Numbers)

    W artykule zaprezentowano serię książek „Biblioteki Harcerskiej Służby Polsce Socjalistycznej”, które zostały wydane przez Młodzieżową Agencję Wydawniczą i Horyzonty w latach 1976–1981. Opisano cele serii, tematykę poszczególnych tomów, ich informacyjny i czasem ideologiczny charakter. Wskazano na środki stylistyczne i strategie stosowane rzecz autorów w celu uprzystępnienia młodym czytelnikom tematyki ekonomicznej, politycznej i społecznej oraz ukształtowania ich światopoglądu. Dostrzeżono również, że niektóre z tomów tej serii zawierały krytyczne oceny pod adresem ówczesnej władzy.
    The article describes the books of the series “Biblioteka Harcerskiej Służby Polsce Socjalistycznej”, which were edited by Młodzieżowa Agencja Wydawnicza i Horyzonty in the years 1976–1981. Aims of the series, subject of particular volumes, their information and sometimes ideological character are described. Stylistic effects and authors’ strategies to comprehensible young readers economic, political and social themes and to create their world-view were specified. It was also noticed that some of the series’ volumes included critical opinions directed at political authorities

    Opis:
    This article is an attempt of a holistic outlook on blessed father Michał Sopoćko. Looking in this way we can easily see in him a passion to speak and teach about the endless Divine Mercy. Firstly and mainly we discover in him a priest with model zeal, as it flows out of his personal convictions and surrendering to the Divine Mercy. The whole life of blessed Michał has three main motifs: the first one was the experience of the Divine Mercy (active in sacraments) and of human mercy (particularly in his youth and seminarian life). The second motif was demonstrating mercy in concrete actions addressed towards relatives, the faithful in his care (parishioners, soldiers, seminary students and religious sisters) and towards particular groups (youth, national minorities). The third motif which joined the two previous ones and activated them was his personal devotion to the Divine Mercy. Thanks to such deep prayer life and its consistency, conscientious research of the truth of the Divine Mercy in the Bible, liturgy, tradition and Church magisterium he was filled with genuine mercy.

    The Author’s extended research shows that among 71 magazines issued between 1945–1989 seven (9.8%) were dedicated directly to children or children and adolescents: “ABC Horyzontów Techniki dla Dzieci” (1963–1964), “ABC Techniki” (1964–1991), “Horyzonty Techniki dla Dzieci” (1957–1970), “Kalejdoskop Techniki” (1971–1990), “Mała Delta” (1981–1983), “Młody Technik InforMik” (1987–1989), “Szkiełko i Oko” (1983–1990). The article presents the formal features of the studied group of magazines (frequency, lasting, publishers, addressees, structure, circulation, layout), as well as its content and informative value (program, specialization, way of understanding the popularization task) of individual titles. Based on the analysis of the divisions and their functions, text typology, and graphic layout of individual titles the Author had created a model of a typical in that times popular science magazine for children.
