    This paper is aimed at reconstruction of the basic ontological, epistemological and ethical premises of the posthumanist project (called also the posthumanist theory or the posthumanist tool), while analysing the theoretical propositions of Karen Barad, Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari as well as Donna Haraway. It is only by such meticulous definition of theoretical tool that one may be able to pose the question of the posthuman collective and posthumanist politics.
    Celem tekstu jest rekonstrukcja podstaw ontologicznych, epistemologicznych oraz etycznych projektu posthumanistycznego (zwanego też teorią lub narzędziem posthumanistycznym) na podstawie analizy propozycji teoretycznych Karen Barad, Gillesa Deleuze'a i Felixa Guattari'ego oraz Donny Haraway. Tylko dzięki tak precyzyjnemu zdefiniowaniu narzędzia teoretycznego, możliwe będzie zadanie pytania o wspólnotę postludzką oraz posthumanistyczną politykę.

    The aim of the article is to discuss the basic assumptions, theses and solutions of Donna Haraway’s book “Staying with the Trouble: Making Kin in the Chthulucene”. The authoress places the considerations of an American philosopher and biologist against the background of her earlier books and conceptual proposals. She analyses her suggestion of using the category of Chthulucene instead of Anthropocene, the category of sympoietic system instead of an autopoietic one, she presents her appeal for creating new forms of kinship and extensive response-ability for each other.

    Opis:
    The cyborg as a metaphor for cultural encodings of the interaction between humans and technology has been an accepted trope since the publication of Donna Haraway’s “Cyborg Manifesto.” Alex Garland’s 2015 film Ex Machina shares many of its key themes and motifs with earlier science fiction films, from Fritz Lang’s Metropolis to Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner. A first viewing of the film thus suggests an interpretation that focuses on the film’s portrayal of its female cyborgs Ava and Kyoko as another version of the “pleasure model” in the mode of Lang’s Maria or Scott’s Pris. However, it is the tension between Ava’s intelligence and visual attractiveness and her performance of a female gender identity that invites a closer investigation of the film’s visual encoding of the female cyborg. As the film shifts its focus from the young male programmer Caleb and his encounter with his employer Nathan and the cyborg Ava to Ava’s self-portrait, this chapter will take a closer look at the embodiment of cyborg identity.

Analizuje jej propozycję posługiwania się kategoriami chthulucenu zamiast antropocenu, systemu sympojetycznego zamiast autopojetycznego, przedstawia jej apel o tworzenie nowych form pokrewieństwa i rozbudowanej odpowiedzialności za siebie nawzajem.

    Bruno Latour’s latest book, Down to Earth, argues that the Earth itself must “ground” philosophical modernity and provide a “ground” for thinking about globalism and the problems of the globalist agenda. In this review I find the use of the Earth, and of various other stand-ins for metaphysical principles, to be a kind of “meso-metaphysics,” a metaphysics which denies transcendence but all the same makes use of transcendence and operational otherness when needful for a given ideology, such as the radical environmentalism espoused by Bruno Latour. I see this as ultimately a rejection of both metaphysics and of the possibility of science and philosophy, as the conflation of the physical ground with a philosophical ground dooms meso-metaphysics to incoherence.

    Celem tekstu jest wskazanie przykładowych sposobów zredefiniowania pojęcia wspólnoty z perspektywy filozofii 'posthumanistycznej'. Osią rozważań będzie próba wyjścia poza dychotomię środków i celów,  działań instrumentalnych i komunikacyjnych jako warunek możliwości poszerzenia wspólnoty o aktorów pozaludzkich: zarówno nie-ludzkich zwierząt (Haraway), jak i technologię oraz rzeczy (Latour).
    This paper investigates one of the “posthumanist” propositions of redefining notion of community. It argues that in order to expand community as regards nonhuman animals (Haraway) and technology, things (Latour) it is necessary to go beyond dichotomy of means and ends, instrumental and communicative action.
