    Opis:
    The evaluation of age management as an essential factor of an organisation’s development - and not a limitation thereof – has been adopted as the purpose of the paper. As part of achieving the paper’s goal, the author formulated the following research problems: 1. What is the relationship between age management and the management of generations? 2. How are older (mature) people perceived by employees? – arguments for and against 3. How to manage age in an organisation effectively? Age management was addressed in terms of older employees. The paper is conceptual in nature and was mainly based on a critical literature analysis. The paper’s practical implications include the opportunity for organisations to use the stages of implementation of age management presented therein. The paper’s contents allow for broadening one’s knowledge in terms of age management (in essence, stereotypes related to older people as employees and the benefits of implementing age management in an organisation). Approaching age management in a rational and aware manner, organisations acquire mature, experienced and loyal employees

    Opis:
    Since the Bible is not a systematical work, it is not easy to answer the question of how ageing is viewed by biblical texts unambiguously. One of the reasons is the perception of ageing in biblical times. Generally old people were appreciated for their life experience and wisdom; they should be respected accordingly. Old age was also seen as a reward for a godly life. This also explains why particularly important figures in the history of salvation and models of faith were “awarded” with old age. However, the Bible also knows the grievances and the burdens of old age, so that old people are dependent on the help of others. Nevertheless, the Bible never views ageing as a “curse”. Rather, the Bible seems to put more emphasis on those exemplary and, in this sense, (probably idealized) cases in which age is accentuated as the grace of God.
    Da die Bibel kein systematisch durchdachtes Werk ist, lässt sich die Frage nach der Bewertung des Alters in der Bibel erwartungsgemäß nicht eindeutig klären. Das hat nicht zuletzt auch damit zu tun, dass das Alter in biblischer Zeit anders wahrgenommen wurde. Alte Menschen werden in der Bibel für gewöhnlich wegen ihrer Lebenserfahrung und ihrer Weisheit geschätzt; entsprechend sollen sie geachtet werden. Entsprechend gilt hohes Alter als Belohnung für ein gottgefälliges Leben. Damit erklärt sich auch, dass besonders wichtige Gestalten der Heilsgeschichte und nachahmenswerte Glaubensvorbilder durch ein hohes Alter „ausgezeichnet“ werden. Umgekehrt kennt die Bibel auch die Beschwerden und die Last des Alters, sodass alte Menschen auf fremde Hilfe angewiesen sind. Dennoch betrachtet sie das Altwerden nie als „Fluch“. Vielmehr scheint die Bibel eher jene beispielhaften (und in diesem Sinn wohl auch idealisierten) Fälle ins Rampenlicht zu stellen, in denen das Alter als Gnadenerweis Gottes hervorgehoben wird.
