Opis:
Contemporary methods of geodetic observation adjustment are more often derived from (based on) M-estimation theory. This statement applies especially to robust methods of adjustment. This paper presents a new method of adjustment based on theory M-estimation with assymetric weight function. Such a function is obtained by multiplying original weights by assymetric attenuation function. The attenuation function consists of some, dependent on excess, terms of the Edgeworth series. The proposed method belongs to the class of robust estimations. However it also makes possible to apply asymmetry coefficient is an additional parameter (against the previously elaborated methods) that controls a robust adjustment.

Opis:
Technological progress in measurement automation in geodesy creates new interesting research problems. One of them is an existance of excessive observational data sets. That means the new technologies produce large data sets. such data stes may cause problems for users, since they create heavy processing load. Their uploading to suitable software and subsequent processing is very time consuming. Thus, there is a need to resample and reorganize the data sets before processing, in order to considerable reduce their amount without loosing essential information. In the article, Douglas-Peuckesr method was used to reduce the size of the data sets. The proposed algorithm was applied and tested on a fragment of the data set containing results of Świnoujście-Szczecin Channel bottom mesurements. Based on ststistical analysis presented in the paper, a set of parameters can also serve as an initial information for another study.

GPS signals are of time-spatial nature. And they should be modeled as such in the algorithms for establishing navigational measurements. Therefore, they should be treated as stochastic processes. This article prcsents the results of testing the correlation properties of GPS/DGPS signals. Several measurement series were carried out to obtain position co-ordinates at various times and in various points as well as synchronous measurements of two GPS/DGPS receivers. The tests aimed at identifying the function of auto-correlation between and co-ordinates and the function of intercorrelation between and coordinates. As it turns out, these measurements are significantly correlated, and the mean time of correlation is within the range of a couple or more minutes.

Opis:
Total Station Instruments can be qualified as the equipment whose accuracy parameters can be tested with measuring and calculation procedures, pursuant to part 3, 4 and 5 of ISO 17123. The present paper aims to study coherence of accuracy results obtained, on the one hand, by combining parts 3, 4, and part 5, on the other hand. The tests were carried out based on complete test procedures with test bases located on the premises of AGH University and city meadow in Krakow. The following instruments were tested: Trimble S6, Leica TCRA 1101 and Topcon GPT 7500.
