Opis:: Cardiac monitoring in the environment of the subject is one of the major fields of telemedicine. In this paper we present a prototype of embedded system for acquisition, storage, display on LCD or PC and transfer via GSM alarm warning in case of arrhythmias, which allows a great opportunity for rapid intervention of the physician. In terms of hardware, we have designed and implemented our system with a modular approach to facilitate development and debugging. Thus the system comprises three modules: analog module, digital module microcontroller-based for certain pretreatment, and a GSM communication module. Of course, there is appropriate software behind the material described. The system has the following features: low cost, ease to implement and versatility.

Opis:: In this paper, some issues of building a reliable, distributed measurement system for monitoring of water quality in reservoir Lake Dobczyckie are presented. The system is based on a measurement station that has the shape of a floating buoy which is supposed to be at anchor on the reservoir. Wireless data transmission problems that were encountered during the development of the buoy, modeling a radio link, and measurements of actual signal strength on the reservoir are discussed. A mathematical approach to procedures of early situation assessment was conducted, and specialized procedures were designed for measurement stations of the system. It is also discussed how such computations can improve a qualitative assessment of system performance in terms of real-time messaging.

Opis:: Mobile phone may become the protagonist of the new electronic technology. If we compare it with that of other technologies, the infiltration rate of mobile phones in the world is extremely high, both in cities than rural communities of the most of the countries. According to estimates made by the International Telecommunication Union the access to mobile networks is growing much faster than the access to Internet. This emergence has led many companies to allow new activities which were previously running strictly over the Internet to run over the mobile network such as the electronic payment. These circumstances make the security of mobile communication a priority to preserve the authentication, confidentiality and integrity of data sent between subscribers and mobile network. In this paper, we propose a dynamic key generation for the A5 GSM encryption algorithm to enforce the security and protect the transferred data. Our algorithm can be implemented over any GSM generation GSM/3G/4G.

Opis:: Praca dotyczy zagadnienia związanego ze zdalną komunikacją z systemami automatyki przemysłowej. Zaprezentowano eksperymentalne stanowisko laboratoryjne z zamodelowaną wirtualną linią produkcyjną. Praca ma charakter poglądowy i jest praktyczną, szczególną realizacją znanych z literatury, metod komunikacji stosowanych w automatyce przemysłowej. Opisano podstawowe parametry użytych podzespołów oraz ich konfigurację do pracy w wybranym układzie sterowania. Skonfigurowano system do komunikacji pomiędzy użytkownikiem a sterowanym systemem automatycznym. Wykorzystano i skonfigurowano wejścia i wyjścia fizyczne sterownika S7-224XP, panel operatorski, przykładowy interfejs zdalnej komunikacji (bramkę GSM i telefon użytkownika) oraz system wizualizacji za pomocą komputera PC. Do wymiany informacji sterujących i zarządzających użyto trybu PPI, Freeport, protokołu TCP/IP, standardu OPC oraz modułu GSM. W oprogramowaniu stanowiska wykorzystano środowiska programistyczne STEP 7-MicroWin 4.0, WinCC flexible 2007, WinCC 2007 RT, PC-Access 1.0 oraz MS Excel 2003. Umożliwiono użytkownikowi nadzór nad realizacją procesu technologicznego niezależnie od odległości, jaka dzieli go od układu sterowania.
This article considers the remote communication problem for industrial automation systems. It presents an experimental laboratory stand of modelled virtual production lines. It describes fundamental parameters and the configuration process of used automation devices and elements. This article is a practical realisation of popular communication methods of industrial automation. The communication system between the user and the controlled automated system is configured. Physical inputs and outputs of S7-224XP, a control panel, a sample remote communication interface (the GSM gate and the cordless cellular telephone) and a visualisation system by the PC computer are used and configured. For controlling and managing data exchange, the PPI mode, the Freeport, the TCP/IP protocol, OLE for process control and the GSM module are used. The programming environment STEP 7-MicroWin 4.0, WinCC flexible 2007, WinCC 2007 RT, PC-Access 1.0 and MS Excel 2003 are used in the stand’s interface. The user can control the technological process irrespective of distance from the control system.

Opis:: Publikacja zawiera opis najczęściej obecnie stosowanych bezprzewodowych metod zdalnego odczytu liczników energii elektrycznej, a także sposoby wdrożenia wybranych metod w praktyce. Przedstawiono standardy ZigBee, WiFi i GSM uwzględniając ich wady i zalety predysponujące do współpracy z licznikami i serwerem przechowującym odczytane dane pomiarowe. W drugiej części pracy pokazano zrealizowane praktycznie urządzenia modułów komunikacyjnych wykorzystywane w zdalnym odczycie liczników i protokoły transmisyjne umożliwiające współpracę z wieloma licznikami. W podsumowaniu porównano wybrane metody bezprzewodowego odczytu liczników energii elektrycznej, a także zaprezentowano jakie są obszary zastosowania i możliwości użycia poszczególnych rozwiązań zdalnego odczytu.
The paper presents a description of methods currently used for wireless remote meter reading of electricity and ways to implement the chosen methods in practice. There are described ZigBee, WiFi and GSM standards with their advantages and disadvantages for cooperation with meters and a server that stores the read out measurement data. The second part shows practically realized devices and communication protocols for the cooperation with many meters. The summary contains comparison of the methods chosen for wireless electricity meter reading, and information about the areas of using the presented methods. Application and various solutions for remote reading are presented in Table 1. Basing on the study results, it can be concluded that the transmission by the GSM standard has much more reliable data transfer than the WiFi and ZigBee standards. Solutions based on the WiFi and ZigBee standards, despite a small range compared to GSM, do not require additional operator charges and are energy efficient. In practice hybrid solutions and those dependent on the location of a measurement object are the best ones.

Opis:: The article presents conception of authors management and monitoring system based on GPS, for application in the transport and land and air communication. This system arises as an answer to demand of local Civil Services, which are member of a crisis management. System purpose is to increase the effectiveness and safeties during salvage actions. In following years the system evolved, allowing its use not only in land conditions but also in the transport and the air lifesaving. Article shows future plans connected with the system development and the extension with ADS-B system (Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast).
