Supplier Selection Problem
Opis:
The decision making of supplier selection and their allocation is one of the main concerns in supply chain management. In this paper, an attempt has been made to obtain an optimal allocation for supplier based on minimizing the net cost, minimizing the net rejections, and minimizing the net late deliveries subject to realistic constraints regarding buyer’s demand, vendors’ capacity, vendors’ quota flexibility, purchase value of items, budget allocation to individual vendor, etc. We convert the problem into single objective fuzzy goal programming problem by using weighted root power mean the method of aggregation with linear, exponential and hyperbolic membership functions. The comparison has been made by assigning different weights to the objective functions. A numerical illustration is provided for the verification of applicability of the approach.

Opis:
This paper proposes a generalized domain optimization method for fuzzy goal programming with different priorities. According to the three possible styles of the objective function, the domain optimization method and its generalization are correspondingly proposed. This method can generate the results consistent with the decision-maker's priority expectations, according to which the goal with higher priority may have higher level of satisfaction. However, the reformulated optimization problem may be nonconvex for the reason of the nature of the original problem and the introduction of the varying-domain optimization method. It is possible to obtain a local optimal solution for nonconvex programming by the SQP algorithm. In order to get the global solution of the new programming problem, the co-evolutionary genetic algorithm, called GENOCOP III, is used instead of the SQP method. In this way the decision-maker can get. the optimum of the optimization problem. We demonstrate the power of this proposed method based on genetic algorithm by illustrative examples.

Opis:
This paper presents an integrated evaluation approach for decision support enabling effective supplier selection and ordering processes in textile industry. The integrated evaluation method in this study includes two phases that consist of fuzzy AHP and goal programming approaches. Supplier evaluation and selection is a multi-criterion decision problem which includes both qualitative and quantitative factors. That’s why; firstly, linguistic variables expressed in trapezoidal fuzzy numbers are applied to assess weights and ratings of supplier selection criteria. Then a hierarchy multiple model based on fuzzy set theory is expressed and the geometric mean method of Buckley is used to aggregate pair wise comparisons. Finally, a goal programming model is built using the goals about coefficients of suppliers, total ordering cost, number of wrong deliveries, total delivery cost under the constraints of required minimum and maximum number of orderings and acceptable quality cost levels of each supplier and demand constraint of the product.

A survey of fuzzy goal programming approach is presented, including three new approaches. Various approaches are classified according to the role that fuzzy numbers play in them. For each approach the corresponding model and the solution procedure are discussed.
Zaprezentowano przegląd podejść w ramach rozmytego programowania celowego, obejmującego także trzy nowe podejścia. Omawiane podejścia zostały sklasyfikowane według roli, jaką pełnią w nich liczby rozmyte. Przedyskutowano dla każdego podejścia odpowiadający mu model decyzyjny i procedurę otrzymywania rozwiązania.

Opis:
Multi-choice programming problems arise due to the diverse needs of people. In this paper, multichoice optimization has been applied to the bilevel transportation problem. This problem deals with transportation at both the levels, upper as well as lower. There are multiple choices for demand and supply parameters. The multi-choice parameters at the respective levels are converted into polynomials which transmute the defined problem into a mixed integer programming problem. The objective of the paper is to determine a solution methodology for the transformed problem. The significance of the formulated model is exhibited through an example by applying it to the hotel industry. The fuzzy programming approach is employed to obtain a satisfactory solution for the decision-makers at the two levels. A comparative analysis is presented in the paper by solving the bilevel multi-choice transportation problem with goal programming mode as well as by the linear transformation technique. The example is solved using computing software.

Opis:
Transportation problem (TP) is a special type of linear programming problem (LPP) where the objective is to minimize the cost of distributing a product from several sources (or origins) to some destinations. This paper addresses a transportation problem in which the costs, supplies, and demands are represented as heptagonal fuzzy numbers. After converting the problem into the corresponding crisp TP using the ranking method, a goal programming (GP) approach is applied for obtaining the optimal solution. The advantage of GP for the decision-maker is easy to explain and implement in real life transportation. The stability set of the first kind corresponding to the optimal solution is determined. A numerical example is given to highlight the solution approach.
