hellmut bruch - Opis:
- Hellmut Bruch is one of the best known representatives of concrete and constructivist art in Austria. In his works he uses mainly stainless steel as well as fluorescent bright transparent acrylic glass focusing light. Initially he made use of found objects and semi-finished products made of metal, later he used hot-rolled sheets. The consequence of Bruch's growing interest in the effect of light was the rejection of the matt black sheet and a turn towards stainless steel. His works are the result of confrontation with the laws of nature – with what is elementary, fundamental and open. His artistic concepts are determined by the immateriality and proportions. Light as an expression of maximum openness and the Fibonacci sequence lead to infinity in the process of thinking. For Bruch the golden ratio is the basis of harmonic proportions. His interest in the achievements of science and research is connected with the admiration for what is miraculous, wonderful.
