    Der Beitrag widmet sich der Arbeit von Joanna Ławnikowska-Koper Literarisierung der Familie im österreichischen Roman der Gegenwart, die in mannigfaltigen Kontexten und unter Berücksichtigung einer kulturwissenschaftlichen Perspektive das literarisierte Bild der Familie als Topos der österreichischen Literatur der Gegenwart betrachtet. Die konzeptuell-narrativen Strategien bei der Literarisierung der Familie umfassen in dem besprochenen Buch vier semantische Bereiche: die Identitätsfrage, die Modernisierungsfrage, die Wertewandelfrage und die Alltäglichkeit. Dank dessen schlägt das Buch eine interdisziplinäre Betrachtung der literarischen Familie vor und versteht sich gleichzeitig – dank der Berücksichtigung des spezifischen österreichischen Kulturcodes – als ein aktuelles Pendant zur Literaturgeschichte Österreichs.
    Artykuł dotyczy monografii Joanny Ławnikowskiej-Koper Literarisierung der Familie im österreichischen Roman der Gegenwart, w ktorej autorka w różnych kontekstach przedstawia z perspektywy kulturoznawczej literacki obraz rodziny jako topos współczesnej literatury austriackiej. Strategie koncepcyjne i narracyjne zastosowane w literaryzacji rodziny obejmują w omawianej książce cztery obszary semantyczne: kwestię tożsamości, kwestię modernizacji, kwestię zmieniających się wartości oraz codzienności. Książka stanowi dzięki temu interdyscyplinarne spojrzenie na rodzinę literacką, a uwzględniając specyficzny austriacki kodeks kulturowy jest ważnym aktualnym przyczynkiem do historii literatury Austrii.
    The article concerns the monograph by Joanna Ławnikowska-Koper Literarisierung der Familie im österreichischen Roman der Gegenwart, which presents (from a cultural-research perspective) the literary image of families as the topos of contemporary Austrian literature. The conceptual and narrative strategies that dominate the family’s literarisation in the examined texts cover four semantic areas: the issue of identity, the issue of modernisation, axiological issues – the system of values and everyday life. The texts allow for an interdisciplinary reflection on the literary family, while the historical and literary background is important to consideration of the specific Austrian cultural code in the context of the distinctiveness of Austrian literature.

    The contacts of the popular Russian humorist and the representative of the first wave of emigration with Poland begin at the level of family connections. Teffi used to visit Warsaw where she became acquainted with the representatives of the local literary world. Her works, translated into Polish, were published both by numerous magazines, separate collections and showed on stage. Polish themes appear in Teffi’s works too.

    This work is an attempt of reconstruction of a motherhood pattem in XIX century. Two models of women have been taken into consideration, namely woman as a housewife and as a mother. In order to reconstruct these models, it was planned to use knowledge written down in XIX century guide literature. Through analisys of chosen group of guide books, state of social consciousness and some generalization of universal phenomena were examined. Ali common advice connected with the aspects of raising children were also noticed and mentioned in this report.

    Termin literatura dla młodzieży zwraca uwagę na wiek odbiorcy i sugeruje potrzebę uwzględnienia jego ograniczeń i potencjału w doborze tematyki, komplikacji artystycznych oraz językowych struktur. Skupienie uwagi na pograniczu tzw. książki dziecięcej i młodzieżowej oraz młodzieżowej i dorosłej, czyli tzw. middlegrade (8–13 lat) i Young Adult (13–18 lat) pozwala na przyjrzenie się literackim obrazom dojrzewania ukazanego na tle rodziny. Polskie powieści z nurtu YA, powstałe na przełomie XX i XXI wieku, odzwierciedlają przemiany, które zaszły w strukturze społecznej rodziny po 1989 roku. Kryzys rodziny jest wynikiem obyczajowych i cywilizacyjnych przemian. Rodzina, zarówno ta pełna, niepełna i rekonstruowana zawodzi w momencie, gdy dorastający w niej bohater staje wobec próby dojrzałości, w momencie choroby czy śmierci bliskiej osoby, własnej niepełnosprawności, rozpoczynając życie seksualne, doświadczając wczesnego macierzyństwa czy ulegając pokusom dilerów narkotyków. Powieści o kryzysach w życiu nastoletnich bohaterów ujawniają kryzys macierzyństwa i ojcostwa. Ojcowie najczęściej wykluczani są z rodzinnego pejzażu. Matki zamiast wychowywać swoje nastoletnie dzieci, starają się sprawować nad nimi kontrolę. Domowy porządek to rygor bezwzględnego posłuszeństwa wymuszanego presją psychiczną i krzykiem. Agresja słowna i upokorzenie staje się źródłem emocjonalnego osierocenia młodego bohatera. Rodzina w każdym z zaprezentowanych modeli jest instytucją pozbawioną mechanizmów naprawczych. Pod wpływem trudnych przeżyć nie dokonuje się przewartościowanie dotychczasowych struktur jej organizacji, zależności, relacji. Przedstawione literackie portrety familii ujawniają stereotyp strukturalny, kulturowy i emocjonalny, który nie dostarcza wzorców pozytywnych i nie pozostawia złudzeń co do trwałości więzi spajających członków rodziny. Ujawniają też kryzys pisania o rodzinie w literaturze YA, ponieważ brakuje w prezentowanych utworach prób przezwyciężania stereotypów kulturowych i ukazywania zamiast obrazów kryzysu kierunków, w jakim dokonują się przemiany współczesnej rodziny.
    Literature for Young People draws attention to the age of recipients and suggests the need to consider the limitations and potentials in the selection of topics, artistic complications and linguistic structures. Here, we focus on the border of books for middle grade (8–13 years) and young adults (13–18 years) allowing us to look at the literary images of maturation that is shown at the background of the family. Polish novels from the Young Adult (YA) stream created at the turn of the century reflect the changes that have occurred in the social structure of the family since 1989. The crisis of the family is a result of moral and cultural transformation. The full family, the incomplete one, and the patchwork family fail at a time when the teenage character faces the process of growing up, at the time of illness or death of a beloved one, when they face their own disability, start their sex life, experience early motherhood or experiment with drugs. Novels about the crises in the life of teenage characters reveal a crisis of motherhood and fatherhood. Fathers are usually excluded from the family landscape. Mothers, instead of raising their teenage children, try to control them. Home rules are to obey the rigor enforced by psychological pressure and screaming. Verbal aggression and humiliation become a source of emotional bereavement of a young character. Family in each of the presented models is an institution devoid of repair mechanisms. Under the influence of the difficult experience there is no re-evaluation of existing structures and their organization, dependence, relations. The literary portraits of families reveal a structural, cultural and emotional stereotype which does not provide positive examples and leaves no doubt about durability of ties binding the family members. Also writings reveal the crisis of writing about family in YA literature, because the presented works lack ways to overcome cultural stereotypes and they portray the crisis instead pointing directions to which the modern family transforms to.

    In 1872 Józef Przyborowski (1823−1896) was appointed the director of the Zamoyski Family Fee Tail Library (Biblioteka Ordynacji Zamojskiej, BOZ) in Warsaw. This philologist, historian, numismatist, and archaeologist, former professor of Polish language in the Main School (Szkoła Główna) in Warsaw and the director of its Library, was an expert in the life and works of Jan Kochanowski and the 16th century prints. When working in BOZ (until his death), Przyborowski not only arranged and developed the collections of books and manuscripts, but also transformed it into a workshop for his editorial works and his studies as a historian of literature and bibliography. Przyborowski’s academical and educational publications in the periodicals, encyclopaedias and editions of Old Polish literature were popularising the knowledge of Polish history, literature, culture and library collections. The article presents Przyborowski’s publications, based on the collections of Zamoyski Family Fee Tail Library, and their importance in the history of old books and literature.

    Przedmiotem artykułu uczyniono idee i postulaty wychowania rodzinnego formułowane na stronach polskiego piśmiennictwa pedagogicznego. Zaprezentowane ustalenia historiograficzne i wnioski oparte zostały na analizie źródłowej zarówno pism, podręczników i poradników pedagogicznych, wychowawczych, jak i artykułów z prasy pedagogicznej, rodzinnej, kobiecej i społeczno-literackiej. Cezury czasowe obejmują okres od końca wieku XVIII do początku wieku XX. Na tle koncepcji wychowania rodzinnego formułowanych w pismach pedagogicznych ukazane zostaną także zalecenia dla organizacji edukacji domowej, która realizowana była właśnie na gruncie rodziny.
    The subject of the article was ideas and postulates of family education, formulated in polish pedagogical literature. Presented histographical findings and conclusions were based on source analysis of magazines, textbooks and educational guides as well as on articles from pedagogical, family, women’s and socio-literary press. The time frames cover the period from the end of the XVIIIth century till the end of the XXth century. At the background of the conception of family education formulated in pedagogical press, the author presented also recommendations for organization of home education, which was implemented on the grounds of the family.
