    Opis:
    Career orientation has become significant in Vietnamese education recently. To students of the Mining Faculty of Hanoi University of Mining and Geology, this issue is more important as society changes its acceptance of mining. The research uses investigation, interview, and observation methods for 205 students to see their career orientation. The performance is on the following criteria: 1) Career choice based on individual interests, abilities, personalities, career values; 2) Understanding of the profession in aspects of quality and capacity, workplace, future working environment, the development trend, etc.; 3) The suitability of the profession with individual interests, abilities, personality, and values of the profession during the study; 4) Study plans to meet industry requirements; 5) Self-development plans in the future career. Research results show that the majority of students have the right and appropriate career. These students have clear and positive motivations and goals in the learning process. Only a few students have not determined the proper position in the profession due to their emotions, which are not stable and oriented.

    W artykule przedstawiono rozwój działań naprawczych w zakresie działalności wydobywczej: od sozologii, poprzez rekultywację, aż do rewitalizacji. Pokazano jak na przestrzeni 100 lat Wydział Górnictwa i Geoinżynierii, którego podstawowym zakresem działalności naukowo-badawczej i kształcenia było górnictwo, wzbogaca zakres o dyscypliny naukowe niezbędne dla uczynienia eksploatacji kopalin bardziej „przyjaznej” dla środowiska i społeczeństwa. Zwrócono uwagę na dominację pojęcia „rewitalizacja” zawierającego w swoim zakresie rekultywację, ale rozumianego jako ożywienie społeczno-gospodarcze terenów zdegradowanych. Z takiego rozumienia rewitalizacji wynika nie tylko potrzeba pracy w interdyscyplinarnym zespole fachowców, ale także zaangażowania różnych interesariuszy na etapie realizacji. W artykule przedstawiono zagadnienia, którymi zajmuje się WGiG w zakresie rewitalizacji, a także wybrane prace badawcze i projektowe z ostatnich 10 lat. Podkreślono ciągłe dążenie do rozwijania warsztatu badawczego poprzez szeroką współpracę z otoczeniem społeczno-gospodarczym oraz instytucjami krajowymi i międzynarodowymi.
    The article presents the development of restoration actions in the mining industry: from sozology, through reclamation to revitalization. It has been shown how over the last 100 years the Faculty of Mining and Geoengineering, whose basic scope of scientific and research activity and education was mining, enriches this scope with scientific disciplines necessary to make the exploitation of minerals more “friendly” for environment and society. Attention was paid to the dominance of the concept of “revitalization” containing within its scope reclamation, but understood as the socio-economic recovery of degraded areas. This understanding of revitalization not only implies the need to work in an interdisciplinary team of professionals, but also to involve various stakeholders at the implementation stage. The article presents issues that Faculty of Mining and Geoengineering deals with in the field of revitalization, as well as selected research and design works from the last 10 years. The constant desire to develop the research workshop through broad cooperation with the socio-economic environment as well as national and international institutions was emphasized

W artykule, na tle rozwoju uczelni górniczych w Europie, przedstawiono rozwój nauk górniczych w Polsce, aż po utworzenie Akademii Górniczej w 1919 roku. Zaprezentowano strukturę uczelni, a także sylwetkę Inżyniera, Absolwenta AGH. Przedstawiono idee i tradycje, kultywowane na AGH, które tworzą wyjątkową więź i łączą w jedną dużą rodzinę Studentów, Absolwentów, Pracowników i Przyjaciół AGH.
    The Jubilee of Century of AGH University of Science & Technology in Cracow is the jubilee of Century of Faculty of Mining & Geoengineering. It was first and the only one faculty when history of AGH UST begins. This paper also shows the background of development of mining sciences in Poland and Europe before foundation of Mining Academy in 1919 (a former name of AGH UST). The structure of the university and profile of an engineer graduated from AGH UST was also presented. The tradition and ideas cultivated at the university since very beginning produced a special bonds in the one big family of students, alumni, scientific workers and the friends of AGH UST.

    The publication discusses the current research area of the scientific members of the Faculty of Mining and Geology at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. In particular of those of the former Department of Management and Security Engineering in the field of economics and mining organization. The used methods and actions taken by the scientific members for the development and promotion of this scientific discipline as well as the achieved research results are briefly presented.

    The information about history, current activities and education of the Faculty of Mining and Geologyof the Silesian Technical University have been presented in the paper. The Faculty of Mining and Geology was founded in 1950. This is one of the oldest and largest faculties of Silesian Technical University. The Faculty has full academic rights in the scientific discipline of mining and geological engineering. Currently the Faculty of Mining and Geology educates engineers and conducts scientific works in all fields connected with innovative mining engineering: • prospecting and identification of mineral resources with using geographic database systems, • economically effective minerals extraction in consideration of advanced mining and information technologies, • use of energy – efficient and reliable mining machinery equipped with automatic monitoring and control systems, • observance of all safety requirements with the use of computer aided methods (including artificial intelligence), • protection of the natural environment in the vicinity of mining companies in consideration of the biological and urban infrastructure. The Faculty consists of three Institutes and three Chairs. All of the Institutes and Chairs employ highly qualified specialists and are equipped with modern research laboratories, enabling the performance of research works and projects commissioned by the mining industry. At present about 3 thousand persons are studying at our Faculty in full time and part time systems of education on 2 fields of study: Mining and Geology and Safety Engineering and 14 specializations.

    On July 12th, 1950, in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Higher Education, the Faculty of Mining was established at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. Defining its tasks and curricula, recruiting staff, attracting students, and work related to the preparation of new rooms and expansion of infrastructure were the first challenges for the newly created Faculty.     12 lipca 1950 roku, zgodnie z Rozporządzeniem Ministra Szkół Wyższych, na Politechnice Śląskiej w Gliwicach utworzono Wydział Górniczy. Określenie zadań i programów nauczania, skompletowanie kadry naukowej, pozyskanie studentów oraz prace związane z przygotowaniem nowych pomieszczeń i rozbudową infrastruktury, stanowiły pierwsze wyzwania dla nowo utworzonego wydziału. W miarę upływu czasu ewoluowała również nazwa wydziału – od 2019 roku funkcjonuje Wydział Górnictwa, Inżynierii Bezpieczeństwa i Automatyki Przemysłowej.
