The relatively scarce surveys in the field of neologisms and the complete lack of a large scale search approach, which could unveil their diverse and multifunctional inherent capacity, posits the goal of the present survey as one of many possible vistas for the overture of their expressive potential as a powerful factor for triggering the grotesque. The results of the survey confirm the hypothesis related to the existential and expressive dynamics of neologisms – as backed by way of a plethora of linguistic means – acting as the generator of numerous functions: ludic, spontaneous, ontological and epistemological, esoteric, ritualistic and magic, bewitching, prophetic, integrative, transcending and demiurgic, communicative and entertaining.

Opis:
This article examines the Soviet policy of ideologization and, russification of the cultural and educational space of the Ukrainian nation in the late 1950s – 1960s and characterizes the formation and development of the movement of the Sixtiers. Despite the comprehensive control of the Soviet totalitarian state over human thinking, the young creative Ukrainian activist continued to be a living intellectual force that was able to adequately analyze socio-political processes in Ukraine and sought radical change in society at that time. This period was marked by the emergence of the Sixtiers – a new generation of Ukrainian national intelligentsia, who defended the national language, education and culture, freedom of artistic creativity. Despite the difficult socio-political circumstances of the time, a significant cultural progress took place in the creative life of the Ukrainian SSR, saturated with a diverse range of views, ideas and aspirations. In Ukraine, there was an irreversible process of national self-determination of Ukrainians through the cultural and educational space. Nonconformist sentiments in Ukrainian environment began a gradual transition to new democratic norms and standards in the life of the Ukrainian nation.
В данной статье исследуется советская политика идеологизации, русификации культурно-образовательного пространства украинской нации конца 1950-х – 1960-х гг. и характеризуется становление и развертывание движения шестидесятников. Несмотря на всеобъемлющий контроль советского тоталитарного государства над мышлением человека, молодой творческий украинский актив продолжал оставаться той живой интеллектуальной силой, которая была способна адекватно анализировать общественно-политические процессы в Украине и стремилась к кардинальным изменениям в обществе того времени. Очерченный период ознаменовался появлением шестидесятников – нового поколения украинской национальной интеллигенции, выступившей в защиту национального языка, образования и культуры, свободы искусства. Вопреки сложным тогдашним общественно-политическим обстоятельствам в творческой жизни УССР произошло заметное культурное продвижение, насыщенное разнообразным спектром взглядов, идей и стремлений. В Украине проходил необратимый процесс национального самоопределения украинцев через культурно-образовательное пространство. Нонконформистские настроения в украинской среде положили начало постепенному переходу к новым демократическим нормам и стандартам жизни украинской нации.

The article considers narrative strategies of the creation of the effect of the reader’s involvement in the protagonist’s life experience in Tamara Horiha Zernia’s novel Dotsya, which is devoted to the important problem of today — the war on the east of Ukraine. The theoretical framework of the study is based on Monika Fludernik’s cognitive-narratological conception of experientiality referring to the idea of the reader’s familiarization with a character’s experience by narrative means. Three strategies of creating the experientiality in this novel are seen as the most important: mimetism while reflecting the region realities, manipulation by the category of local identity, and vivid emotionality of the novel’s narrative. The protagonist’s depersonalization, the display of corporal reactions and the inclusion of invective digressions into the fictional discourse are considered as prevailing patterns of emotional expression.
Artykuł rozważa strategie narracyjne tworzenia efektu zaangażowania czytelnika w doświadczenia życiowe postaci w powieści Tamary Horichy Zerni Docia, poświęconej aktualnym problemom wojny na wschodzie Ukrainy. Teoretyczne podstawy pracy oparte są na zaproponowanej przez Monikę Fludernik w badaniach narratologii kognitywnej koncepcji ‘doświadczeniowości’ (‘experientiality’), związanej z reprezentacją świadomości bohatera lub reprezentacją roli mówcy w utworze. Głównymi strategiami tworzenia ‘doświadczeniowości’ w powieści Docia są mimetyczność w odtwarzaniu realiów regionu, manipulowanie kategorią tożsamości lokalnej i żywa emocjonalna narracja dzieła. Najczęstszymi wzorcami wyrażania emocji w powieści są depersonalizacja, ukazanie reakcji ciała na wydarzenia oraz elementy demaskujące inwektywne dygresje autorskie w dyskursie artystycznym.

Artykuł jest próbą połączenia teorii „głębi” podmiotu nowoczesnego Charlesa Taylora z książki Źródła podmiotowości. Narodziny tożsamości nowoczesnej z postulatami Stanisława Przybyszewskiego zawartymi w artykule O „nową” sztukę (mare tenebrarum, teoria powinowactw). Autor w odniesieniu do myśli Taylora i Przybyszewskiego dokonuje analizy tekstu literackiego (Krzyk Przybyszewskiego) oraz tekstu literacko-muzycznego (Zwierzenia kontestatora i Heavy Metal Świat zespołu TSA) w celu ukazania artystycznych poszukiwań „czegoś więcej” (Taylor) tudzież takich form ekspresji, które wydają się ekwiwalentem procesów zachodzących w „głębi”, a więc w tej części duszy, która jest niedostępna ludzkim zmysłom, a jej przejawy są jedynie uchwytne dla jednostki / artysty / geniusza. W procesie analizy autor zwraca uwagę również na pamiętnikarskie formy Przybyszewskiego (Moi współcześni), w których pisarz przeczuwa, iż „odgłosy ziemi rodzinnej” są pradźwiękiem, atawistycznym rykiem pochodzącym wprost z głębi. Pozostaje pytanie: jak za pomocą sztuki zobrazować ten tajemniczy rejon duszy? Czy jedyną szansą jest muzyka Chopina? Wydaje się, że nie, ale o tym Przybyszewski nie mógł wiedzieć. Dopiero kilkadziesiąt lat po jego śmierci powstała muzyka wrzasku, atawistycznych odruchów, muzyka „wykrzyku duszy”, najchętniej penetrująca to, co ukrywa się w głębi, a więc i zachowania powszechnie niezrozumiałe, w niektórych kręgach uznane za niemoralne, nieetyczne.
The article tries to combine Charles Taylor’s theory of the “profundity” of the modern self from his book Sources of the self: The making of modern identity with Stanisław Przybyszewski’s postulates, presented in his article “For the new art” (mare tenebrarum, the kinship theory). The author, referring to Taylor’s and Przybyszewski’s ideas, analyses a literary text (“Krzyk” by Przybyszewski) and the lyrics (Zwierzenia kontestatora and Heavy Metal Świat by TSA), in order to present the searching for (Taylor), as well as such forms of expression which could be equivalent to the processes happening in the profundity, i.e. in that part of the soul which is inaccessible for human senses, and its indications may be noticed only by an individual/artist/ genius. During the analysis process, the author points to the diary forms of Przybyszewski (Moi współcześni), in which the writer has a premonition that the “fatherland sounds” are a kind of ancient tune, an atavistic roar coming from the depth. The question remains: how to illustrate this part of the soul through art? Is Chopin’s music the only chance? It does not seem to be, but Przybyszewski can’t have realised that. It was only a few decades after his death that the music of scream and atavistic reactions appeared. This music of a screaming soul most willingly penetrates what is hidden inside, i.e. commonly misunderstood behaviours, in some circles considered to be immoral and unethical.

Introduction and objective. Heat stress induces the expression of genes encoding heat-shock proteins and immune response mediators. The aim of this study was to determine the differences in the expression of genes encoding heat-shock proteins 70 kDa and27 kDa, interleukin 6, interleukin 10and C-reactive protein, between athletes and non-athletes after sauna bathing. Materials and method. Athletes (n=9) and non-athletes (n=9) were exposed to a Finnish sauna twice during one session at a temperature of 98.2 °C and humidity of 10% ± 2%, with a 5 min break for cooling down under a shower. The groups did not differ in terms of age, height or body mass. Blood samples were taken before and after sauna exposure in order to assess gene expression, using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. Results. Differences were observed in leukocyte mRNA levels of tested genes between athletes and non-athletes. In the non-athlete group, all the tested genes were expressed at higher levels as a response to the same heat challenge. Conclusion. It appears that expression of stress-related genes induced by heat stress is dependent on the level of physical activity.

Przedmiotem badań niniejszego opracowania było ustalenie, czy realizowane w przedszkolu projekty edukacyjne rozwijają dziecięcą aktywność i ekspresję twórczą. W trakcie badań wykorzystano metodę sondażu diagnostycznego. Autorka podkreśliła wagę umiejętności twórczego myślenia, jak i podejmowania własnej aktywności w toku różnorodnych projektów realizowanych w przedszkolu. Prezentowane wyniki są jedynie badaniami pilotażowymi i dotyczą realizacji konkretnego projektu edukacyjnego Teatr. Wybór autorki nie jest przypadkowy, ponieważ, jak twierdzi: aktywność, ekspresja twórcza to obecnie nieodłączny element funkcjonowania człowieka. W związku z tym należy tak organizować proces edukacyjny, by już od najwcześniejszych etapów wyzwalać w dzieciach zarówno ich własną aktywność, jak i twórczą ekspresję. Obie te cechy są bowiem niezbędne w radzeniu sobie z problemami i napotkanymi przeciwnościami. Nauczyciele pracujący z dziećmi w wieku przedszkolnym powinni wykorzystywać metody aktywizujące w celu wyzwalania tych cech. Jedną z nich jest metoda projektu edukacyjnego, która jest sposobem uczenia się przez doświadczenie, więc pozwala dzieciom samodzielnie zdobywać wiedzę. Co więcej, w projekcie edukacyjnym dochodzi do swoistej integracji środowiska rodzinnego i przedszkolnego poprzez angażowanie rodziców w różne etapy realizacji projektu.
The research for this study aimed to determine whether educational projects implemented at pre-school level enable children to develop a capacity for active and creative expression. During the investigation, the author used the diagnostic survey method. The author stresses the importance nowadays of arriving at a creative approach, both in one’s thinking and in embarking on one’s own activities. The author emphasizes the partial character of the results presented here, which are taken from a larger body of research material and specifically pertain to the Theatre educational project. The choice of the author is not accidental, in that she holds that activity and creative expression, in the present day, form an indispensable element of the existence of human beings. The educational process, from its earliest phases on, must be organized so as to release in children their capacities for both active engagement and creative expression: after all, these are essential when it comes to encountering difficulties and coping with problems. Teachers working with the youngest children (i.e. nursery-school teachers) should use active methods at their work, in order to foster these capacities in their pupils. One of these methods is the educational project, which lends itself to being used at kindergarten level as it is an example of learning by experience and allows pupils to improve their knowledge. What is more, such a project engenders its own particular integration of home and kindergarten environments, thanks to the involvement of parents at different stages of its realization.

Opis:
Strategie rozwoju terytorialnego, zgodnie z zasadami rozwoju regionalnego powinny być formułowane na zasadach partnerstwa społecznego. W praktyce oznacza to, że dokumenty te powinny być formułowane w sposób prosty i klarowny oraz wprowadzenie zróżnicowanych środków przekazu. Samorządy w Polsce stopniowo dokonują zwrotu ku zwięzłej komunikacji planów, jednak rola przekazu graficznego jest marginalizowana. Tymczasem ilustracja jest bardzo skuteczną formą komunikacji i instrumentem kształtowania polityki rozwoju.
Development strategies, according to regional policies, should be based on community partnership. In practice it means that documents should be simple and comprehensible, also through application of various communication methods. Local Authorities in Poland gradually evolve towards concise development plans, but a role of graphic expression is marginal. However illustrations are very effective form of communication and influencing development policies.

Opis:
In Gram-positive bacteria, cell-to-cell communication, also called quorum sensing (QS) mainly is dependent on extracellular signaling oligopeptide pheromones, which stimulate a response either indirectly, by activating a two-component phosphorelay, or directly, by binding to cytoplasmic effectors. The oligopeptide pheromones production and secretion are initiated in response to specific environmental stimuli or stresses. These pheromones are biosynthesized through different pathways and some have unusual functional chemistry as a result of posttranslational modifications. In the cells of Bacillus subtilis and Streptococcus pneumoniae this system controls the acquisition of the state of competence, while in Staphylococcus aureus it regulates virulence. The review aims at giving an updated overview of these peptide-dependant communication pathways.
U bakterii Gram dodatnich komunikacja od komórki do komórki, zwana także guorum sensing (QS) jest przede wszystkim zależna od zewnątrzkomórkowych sygnałowych oligopeptydowych feromonów, które stymulują odpowiedź także pośrednio poprzez aktywowanie dwuskładnikowych fosforanów lub bezpośrednio przez wiązanie efektorów cytoplazmatycznych. Wytwarzanie i wydzielanie feromonów oligopeptydowych jest inicjowane w odpowiedzi na specyficzne czynniki środowiskowe lub stres. Feromony są syntetyzowane różnymi drogami a niektóre mają jeszcze dodatkową funkcję chemiczną jako wynik modyfikacji potranslacyjnej. W komórkach Bacillus subtilis i Streptococcus pneumoniae ten system kontroluje nabycie stanu kompetencji, natomiast u Staphylococcus aureus reguluje wirulencję. Celem pracy był przegląd aktualnych danych dotyczących peptydozależnych dróg komunikacji.

Opis:
2,3,5,4'-tetrahydroxy stilbene-2-O-ß-D-glucoside (THSG) exerts multiple pharmacodynamic actions, found in Fallopia multiflora, but the biosynthesis pathway of THSG is still unclear. To clear this ambiguity, we constructed suppression subtractive hybridization (SSH) libraries to screen the genes involved in THSG biosynthesis from two F. multiflora varieties, which vary significantly in THSG content. Twelve non-redundant differentially expressed sequence tags were obtained and the full lengths of 4 unreported fragments were amplified by rapid amplification of cDNA ends. We totally got 7 fulllength transcripts, and all of them were aligned to the transcriptome and digital gene expression tag profiling database of four F. multiflora tissues (root, stem and leaf from Deqing F. multiflora and another root from Chongqing F. multiflora; data unpublished) using local BLAST. The results showed that there was a significant, organ specific difference in the expression of fragments and full-length sequences. All the sequences were annotated by aligning to nucleotide and protein databases. Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway analysis indicated that THSG biosynthesis was correlated with multiple life activities.
