Tourism is one of the main factors that encourage students to participate in the Erasmus programme, and many Erasmus students are eager to travel while studying abroad. The article highlights an important segment of the Polish tourism market, namely foreign students enrolled in the Erasmus programme. The article aims to identify opportunities for the tourism industry associated with Erasmus students in Poland, taking into account experiences of other countries. The study is based on empirical data obtained from the Polish Tourism Organization and from Erasmus Family in Cordoba, a Spanish travel agency for the period 2015-2018. In addition, the author conducted a literature review, analysed relevant documents, and relied on her own observations. The growing socio-economic benefits of the Erasmus programme for countries participating in the programme stimulate competition between them in an attempt to attract more international students, where success of particular host countries and their educational institutions depends on a number of factors, including those associated with tourism. Significant competitive advantages can be achieved in this respect by combining the efforts of educational institutions and those responsible for tourism policy.

The Erasmus exchange programme is one of the greatest culture and education programs, which helps students, teachers and administrative staff to explore and to grow their potential. Programme offers a chance to gain professional development through studying, teaching or training in a partner Higher Education Institution in Europe. Nine students and ten academic teachers from the Faculty of Theology, Section in Tarnow of the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow have participated in programme since 2007. The author of this article presents contribution of the Faculty of Theology, Section in Tarnow to the international cooperation and development of the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow.

The mobile payment system and possible ways of using it are presented in this paper. There are a security analysis and a description of a potential risk. W pracy opisano płatności mobilne i dostępne sposoby ich wykonywania za pomocą smartfonów. Artykuł zawiera analizę bezpieczeństwa płatności mobilnych, a także omawia potencjalne ryzyka kradzieży danych jakie są z nimi związane. Analiza przeprowadzona została na podstawie informacji dostępnych w Internecie oraz przeprowadzonych badań. W dokumencie zawarto również propozycję usprawnienia sposobu zabezpieczeń, która przy zachowaniu wygody mogłaby dobrze służyć użytkownikom płatności mobilnych. Artykuł jest oparty na badaniach przeprowadzonych w ramach projektu COLIBRI Erasmus+ oraz dostępne źródła internetowe.

One of the fundamental aspects of the organization management is determination of appropriate strategy for the adoption of development directions and organization areas that needs improvement in the context of existing opportunities and threats based on the organization strengths. The aim of the paper is analysis of the strengths and weakness of E-Guides of European universities in the context of its applying in Erasmus+ programme. Paper is a result of scientific international cooperation of Polish Erasmus coordinator with Turkish Erasmus student.
Jednym z podstawowych aspektów zarządzania organizacją jest określenie właściwej strategii działania dla określenia kierunków rozwoju oraz określenia tych obszarów w organizacji, które wymagają doskonalenia zarówno w kontekście istniejących okazji i zagrożeń w otoczeniu, jak i atutów i słabych stron organizacji. Celem artykułu jest analiza mocnych i słabych stron przewodników elektronicznych europejskich uniwersytetów w kontekście ich wykorzystania w programie Erasmus+. Artykuł jest rezultatem międzynarodowej współpracy naukowej polskiego koordynatora programu Erasmus+ ze studentką przebywającą na stażu w ramach programu Erasmus+.

International exchanges programs are one of the most important directions of contemporary European universities development. The quality level of the international exchange of students and academic staff determines not only the quality level of the education, but it also creates directions of the future research through the prism of international cooperation between universities and students. Papers presents research findings on the international exchange students’ mobility under Erasmus+ programme between Polish and Czech universities in 2000 – 2014. The main objective of the research is to identify the most important elements of the Erasmus+ mobility results as advantages and disadvantages of the international cooperation between analyzed countries.

In the article, high value of tourism offer included in some programs of Erasmus/Erasmus+ for employees of higher education facilities, mostly in programs of organized forms of exchange, i.e. International Staff Week, is emphasized. Basing on acquired materials and author’s own observations during multiple participation in foreign exchange, as well as on recollections of other participants, it can be concluded that this element of programs alone is a an equivalent of the benefits connected to the other elements of programs offered to participants by foreign facilities. Tourist programs usually allow to get to know the cities where educational facilities are located, as well as their close or far surroundings, where culturally unique objects are located. Among the described ones, the most interesting tourist offers are the ones proposed by Portuguese and Czech educational facilities, for both organized groups and participants arriving on exchange individually. Even partial payment for those offers does not discourage potential participants, and they are evaluated highly. They are also a form of integration of participants on every trip, and most of all, they create a chance of getting to know the tourist qualities of visited regions. It is even more beneficial, since during the sightseeing the aspects connected to the problems professionally interesting to the participants are emphasized, and trips are led by the representatives of local educational facilities.
W artykule podkreśla się dużą wartość oferty turystycznej zawartej w części programów Erasmus/Erasmus+ w odniesieniu do pracowników uczelni, przede wszystkim w programach zorganizowanych form wymiany, tj. Międzynarodowego Tygodnia Szkoleniowego (International Staff Week). W oparciu o zebrane materiały i autorskie obserwacje poczynione podczas wielokrotnego udziału w wymianie zagranicznej, a także z relacji innych uczestników takich wymian, można stwierdzić, że ten element programów stanowi równowartość korzyści w stosunku do pozostałych elementów składowych całości programów oferowanych beneficjentom przez ośrodki zagraniczne. Programy turystyczne obejmują zwykle poznawanie miast, w których uczelnie się znajdują, oraz ich bliskich lub dalszych okolic, w których są obiekty atrakcyjne krajobrazowo lub kulturowo. Spośród opisywanych programów, szczególnie interesujące są oferty turystyczne proponowane przez uczelnie portugalskie i czeskie (tab. 1, tab. 2), tak dla grup zorganizowanych, jak i uczestników indywidualnie przyjeżdżających na wymianę. Nawet częściowa odpłatność tych ofert nie zraża beneficjentów i są one oceniane bardzo wysoko. Są także formą integracji uczestników na każdym wyjeździe, a przede wszystkim szansą poznania walorów turystycznych regionów zwiedzanych. Jest to tym bardziej wartościowe, że podczas zwiedzania podkreśla się aspekty związane tematycznie z problematyką interesującą zawodowo uczestników, a wycieczki są prowadzone przez przedstawicieli miejscowych uczelni.

The aim of the Bologna Process is, amongst others, to improve the mobility of students in Higher Education. The Erasmus programme helps students study at other European universities, get to know other countries, live a different culture (folklore, food, language, etc.), develop their autonomy and mature as adults. The international seminar ’The improvement of the mobility through the collaborative exchange’ took place in Cadiz, Spain, in May 2015. The Universities of Glasgow (The United Kingdom), Madeira (Portugal), Gazi (Turkey), Linz(Austria), Zielona Gora (Poland) and Cadiz (Spain) participated in this seminar. The representatives of the countries expressed their concern regarding the problems students may encounter during the mobility. The literature has pointed out that economic, social and academic tension students experience may, in some cases, generate or exacerbate mental disorders (Bradley, 2000), generate depression and anxiety (Russell et al. 2010, Ying, Han 2006), and even manifest itself in somatic symptoms (Mori 2000). This might imply classroom absence and drug abuse as side effects. This study describes the positive experiences of five students from the University of Cadiz Erasmus by virtue of a collaborative exchange among universities, detailing the measures taken by host universities to address potential stress issues.
Celem procesu bolońskiego jest, między innymi, poprawa mobilności studentów w ramach szkolnictwa wyższego. Program Erasmus pomaga w studiowaniu na uniwersytetach europejskich, ułatwia poznawanie innych krajów i życia w obrębie innej kultury (poznawanie folkloru, kuchni, języka itd.), wspomaga także rozwijanie autonomii i dojrzałości młodych osób do dorosłego funkcjonowania. W Kadyksie w Hiszpanii w maju 2015 odbyło się międzynarodowe seminarium pt. "Poprawa mobilności poprzez wymianę opartą na współpracy". Uczestnikami byli pracownicy uniwersytetów z Wielkiej Brytanii (Glasgow), Portugalii (Madeira), Turcji (Ankara), Austrii (Linz), Polski (Zielona Góra) oraz Hiszpanii (Kadyks).Przedstawiciele tych krajów wyrazili troskę w związku z problemami, których studenci mogą doświadczać w związku z mobilnością edukacyjną. Literatura przedmiotu pokazuje, że napięcia ekonomiczne, społeczne i różnice edukacyjne to doświadczenia, które mogą, w niektórych przypadkach generować u studentów takie problemy jak: nasilanie zaburzeń psychicznych (Bradley 2000) i występowanie depresji i lęków (Russell i inni 2010, Ying, Han 2006), pojawianie się objawów somatycznych (Mori 2000), przyjmowanie narkotyków, zbyt częste nieobecności na zajęciach. Niniejsze opracowanie opisuje pozytywne doświadczenia studentów, którzy wzięli udział w mobilności w pięciu uczelniach partnerskich Uniwersytetu Cádiz z wyszczególnieniem środków podjętych przez goszczące uniwersytety w celu rozwiązania potencjalnie stresujących dla studentów problemów.

“Erasmus”, named after a Dutch humanist and theologian, Erasmus of Rotterdam, is the European Commission’s programme for Higher Education (students, teachers and institutions). It was introduced with the aim of increasing student mobility within the European Community, subsequently including the European Economic Area countries, Switzerland and the Candidate Countries. Erasmus has been one of the four sectoral programmes supported under the EU Lifelong Learning Programme until the end of 2013. The author of this article in relation to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the “Erasmus” program describes the current educational opportunities of Polish students. Firstly, he presents the selected challenges and opportunities of cultural and educational uniting Europe. Then, the statistical outline of youth in Poland in the context of the European Union and the display of the educational offers within the framework of European programs is shown.

This study investigates the influence of the 2 year Erasmus+ project called “Youth, multilingualism and work perspectives in Europe” on youngsters in the area of digital competence. It took place in 2015-2017 and was provided by 6 countries. During the project the set of questionnaires were provided and filled by 124 respondents, 28 teachers and 96 students. The project implemented a wide array of applications, programmes and gave a chance to use some of the devices. Considering the fact that 47% of EU population has insufficient digital skills and observing the growing deficit of ICT professional skills, there is real approach for education to fulfill the market demand and supply students generations with ICT skills. In the project the objective of enrichment digital competence was reached but the quality level depended on personal engagement, the diverse number of products which were done with the use of diverse sort of apps. But considering the total level of tasks fulfilment developing digital competence is definitely satisfactory. Additional information about the implementation of ICT into the international meetings are Europass Mobility documents. Summarizing the project brought the following proposed assumptions. Firstly, teachers and students made a significant progress in digital competence in the project. Secondly, all participants consider digital competence as a very useful and demanding skill on the labour market, education and life. The findings are enriched with recommendation for institutions responsible for education, because their policies can play a major role to support all actions needed to bring about a digital education system and increase the number of digitally supportive schools and digitally confident and supportive teachers and students. One of them is the persistence of implementation of ICT in the context of projects and further teaching and learning.

Projekt ERASMUS+ Partnerstwo Strategiczne na Rzecz Kreatywności i Przedsiębiorczości (ang. Strategic Partnership for Creativity and Entrepreneurship - SP4CE) dotyczył wdrażania i upowszechniania innowacyjnych rozwiązań wzmacniających współpracę europejską w dziedzinie kształcenia i szkolenia zawodowego. Działania projektowe były związane z promowaniem innowacyjnych praktyk w edukacji oraz szkoleniach poprzez wspieranie spersonalizowanych metod uczenia się, współpracy grupowej, krytycznego myślenia, strategicznego wykorzystania technologii informacyjnych i komunikacyjnych (TIK), otwartych zasobów edukacyjnych (ang. Open Educational Resources - OER), otwartego i elastycznego uczenia się, mobilności wirtualnej oraz innych innowacyjnych metod kształcenia. Uruchomiona w projekcie platforma SP4CE umożliwia interdyscyplinarną międzynarodową współpracę oraz udostępnianie materiałów szkoleniowych w pięciu językach partnerskich. Platforma wykorzystuje oprogramowanie WordPress i Moodle. Zarejestrowani użytkownicy współpracują w tzw. pokojach nauki (ang. Learning Rooms). Trwałość projektu SP4CE ilustrują pokoje nauki założone i aktywne również po jego zakończeniu. Są one dostępne w następujących kategoriach: SPADE ERASMUS+, Prace naukowe, Gamifikacja w szkoleniach, Autoryzowane Centrum Szkolenia Autodesk Politechniki Gdańskiej, Współpraca Partnerów Akademickich Autodesk.
The Strategic Partnership for Creativity and Entrepreneurship (SP4CE) project directly addresses the aims and needs enhanced in European cooperation in vocational education and training. Project activities are also connected with careeroriented continuing VET (C-VET) principles. All the project results and activities are related to the promotion of the take-up of innovative practices in education, training by supporting personalized learning methods, collaborative learning and critical thinking, strategic use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), Open Educational Resources (OER), open and flexible learning, virtual mobility and other innovative learning methods. SP4CE portal provides the space for problems to be solved and questions to be answered as well as creation of the teams which want to work towards the problem solution, mentoring & coaching and also presentation and publishing of the solutions developed. The creation of the SP4CE portal enabled international interdisciplinary cooperation and sharing training materials in five partner languages. For this purpose, WordPress and Moodle software have been used to create so-called Learning Rooms. As an example of the sustainability of using the SP4CE platform several Learning Rooms established after acceptance of the final report are presented (Cooperation of Autodesk Academic Partners, Autodesk Open Doors 2017, Fusion 360 Workshop at the ICEM 2017, SPADE Strategic Partnership for Digitally Excluded).

W artykule omówiono zagadnienia związane z ideą kształcenia dorosłych w programie Era-smus+. Program Erasmus+ wszedł w życie 1 stycznia 2014 roku i jego realizacja jest zaplanowana na siedem lat, do roku 2020. W wielu programach Unii Europejskiej realizowane są działania w dziedzinie edukacji i doskonalenia zawodowego. Również w Polsce opracowano strategię roz-woju kształcenia ustawicznego, zgodną z ideą działań Unii Europejskiej w tej dziedzinie. Zgodnie z podstawowym założeniem programu Erasmus+ inwestowanie w kształcenie i szkolenie jest klu-czem do uwolnienia ludzkiego potencjału, bez względu na wiek i sytuację społeczną.
The article discusses the issues related to the idea of adult education in the Erasmus+. The Erasmus+ program came into force on January 1st 2014 and its implementation is scheduled for seven years, until 2020. In many European Union programs are carried out activities in the field of education and training. Also in Poland, a strategy to develop lifelong learning, consistent with the idea of EU action in this area. In accordance with the basic premise of the Erasmus+ invest-ment in education and training is the key to unlocking human potential, regardless of age and social situation.

Introduction: The Bologna Process has initiated the “culture of reforms” in higher education, conditioning the economic and social development of Europe. Erasmus Plus is an EU programme of education in 2014-2020. Despite the numerous benefits it offers to students, their mobility within the Erasmus Plus Programme proves to be low (not satisfactory). Purpose: Review the theoretical and practical aspects of student mobility, with particular emphasis on the Erasmus Plus Programme. Materials and methods: We searched for extant networks through peer-reviewed literature and the world-wide web. Additionally, we used a data analysis on the mobility of students of medicine and health sciences in 2005-2015 within the Erasmus Plus Programme, at selected university in Poland. Results: According to the educational standards in the European Union, students of medical faculties are obliged to complete 12 semesters of studies comprising 5,500 hours under teachers’ supervision. In Poland there are 5,700 hours – these additional hours account for mandatory physical education and foreign language classes which are not taught in other countries. Data from the last decade indicate that student mobility in Poland is an overestimated phenomenon as it concerns a narrow circle of students. Conclusions: A student who benefits from a scholarship under the Erasmus Plus Programme enhances their self-esteem and development opportunities. Participation in an international programme seems to bring benefits alone. In practice, however, there prove to be numerous barriers related to student mobility, such as financial problems, language barriers and issues related to the recognition (crediting) of a period of study completed at a partner university.

Opis:
Poles and Czechs, despite the fact that they have been living side by side for centuries, are not interested in the neighbor and know little about each other. Lack of knowledge is often supplemented by stereotypes and prejudices that have been present in the cultures of both nations for generations. This is confirmed to a certain extent by studies carried out among students from Poland and the Czech Republic leaving to a neighboring country as part of the Erasmus+ Programme to study at a foreign university.
Polacy i Czesi, mimo że od wieków żyją obok siebie, nie są sobą nawzajem zainteresowani i mało wiedzą na swój temat. Brak wiedzy często jest uzupełniany stereotypami i uprzedzeniami, które od pokoleń są obecne w kulturach obu narodów. Potwierdzają to w pewnym stopniu badania przeprowadzone wśród studentów z Polski i Czech wyjeżdżających do sąsiedniego kraju w ramach programu Erasmus+ na studia prowadzone na uczelni zagranicznej.

Opis:
Erasmus mobility is one of the most important manifestations of internationalization of education in Europe. The aim of the study is to ascertain the participants’ motives and the benefits coming from this international exchange of students as well as to diversify the results with regard to gender. The article, in its theoretical part, characterizes the concept of internationalization of education, describes the factors motivating for educational mobility, the benefits and the barriers of participation. The empirical part contains own researches carried out on a group of 125 students from Polish and foreign universities, using the CAWI (Computer-Assisted Web Interview) tool. It turns out that the main motivators to participate in student international education mobility is, among women, desire to travel as well as development of language skills. Men are mainly motivated by having fun and good time. Regardless of the research results it can be noticed that, generally, employers are more likely to decide to hire people who participated in and international student exchange, and the risk of long-term unemployment among graduates with international experience is lower by half than among graduates without such international experience. On the other hand, internationalization of education involves risks, including commercial profits, academic colonization and difficulties in providing high-quality education.

The intensive programme for the Development of Intercultural Competence of European Teachers of English (DICETE) aimed at the creation of an innovative module of intercultural teacher training for English asa lingua franca, which is being implemented in four partner universities as a part of the regular curriculum. This article presents how the concept of intercultural competence (IC) was negotiated by the participants and how it related to the particular stages of the project. Techniques in the programme for developing IC are described and the addresses to their repository in which they are available are given.
