    Opis:
    Among the foreign language learning strategies classified by R. Oxford (1990) as indirect are affective strategies, to which the researcher assigns an important role in regulating the process of acquiring knowledge and skills. One of the basic tools used for this purpose is a diary, which helps a learner identify their feelings, attitudes and motivations related to language learning. It can be kept both in the form of individual notes on paper or through electronic entries on a group forum, including interactive exchange of reflections. The change in the formula makes it not only a personal record, but also a testimony of various cognitive experiences that we share with others. The aim of the article is to present the changes taking place in the chosen form of the diary, which becomes not only a place for reflection, but also for the exchange of learning experiences, including metacognitive and social strategies. The research conducted in the period from the academic year 2018/19 to 2022/2023 covered five classes of first-year students of French Philology at the University of Wrocław and was aimed at examining preferences in relation to an open or closed form of keeping a diary of the learning strategies used. During the longitudinal research, statements from learners were collected (207 questionnaires), which pointed out the advantages and disadvantages of both forms of diary and commented on the usefulness of the tool in reflection on learning strategies used in practice.

    The presence of Virgin Mary was crucial in the life and monastic vocation of St. Sister Faustina Kowalska. The Marian thread has a special place in her Diary. Since her early childhood the confidante of Mary fulfilling her vocation chose Mother of God to be her Teacher and the Mistress of her spiritual life. She was in the convent the patroness of which was Our Lady of Mercy. Sister Faustina lived the charism of this congregation. She had visions during which she saw Mary, talked to Her and heard Her words. She communed with her beloved Mother in a special way. The apostle of Divine Mercy visited the shrines of Częstochowa and Ostra Brama for few times. She also entrusted Poland – her beloved Motherland - to Mary.

    Wola Boża jest rzadziej przywoływanym przymiotem Bożym niż miłosierdzie. Motyw woli Bożej znalazł jednak swoje miejsce w duchowych zapiskach św. Faustyny Kowalskiej. W Dzienniczku zostało zawarte głębokie bogactwo treści poruszające to teologiczne zagadnienie. Okazuje się, iż siostra Kowalska, nie tylko przekazała orędzie o Bożym miłosierdziu, ale była głęboko zafascynowana wolą Boga. Od najmłodszych lat szukała jej i wiernie ją wypełniała. Dzień po dniu odkrywała jak wielką ma ona wartość i jak koniecznym jest jej poznawanie. Pod okiem Maryi i Jezusa Faustyna przechodziła wszystkie etapy uczenia się woli Bożej, aż do całkowitego zjednoczenia się z nią. Wypełnianie pragnień i postanowień Bożych, bo tak rozumiała ona to pojęcie, stało się dla niej celem jej istnienia. święta z Łagiewnik pojmowała wolę Bożą jako skarb, który został dany ludzkości z powodu wielkiego Bożego miłosierdzia. Apostołka Bożego miłosierdzia odkrywała, że wola Boża musi się pełnić, gdyż Bóg nie może przestać kochać.

    This paper aims to report attitudes of extramural students of the Department of English Studies, University of Wrocław, towards reflection which was introduced into a course of phonetics and into individual practice of pronunciation at home. The article opens with a brief presentation of the concept of reflection, a discussion of its importance in teaching foreign languages (FLs) and an overview of studies on the use of reflection in FL pronunciation teaching. The research design and the techniques used to develop reflection in the students in this study are then described. From the perspective of many learners involved in this research introducing reflection into pronunciation learning had several positive effects: it helped learners set goals and made them aware of effective learning strategies. It also aided them in self-evaluation, in understanding the emotions accompanying the learning of FL pronunciation, and in finding ways of dealing with these. However, it was found that many students were reluctant to have reflection introduced into the learning process. This was mainly due to lack of time and to students’ belief that reflection does not bring any positive results. Finally, the author suggests that the ability to reflect on one’s learning is difficult and dependent on individual predisposition, and that it requires special training.

    The article describes the origin and first nine years (1928–1936) of “Dzienniczek dla Dzieci i Młodzieży” (Children and Adolescents Journal), a supplement to the “Nowy Dziennik” (New Journal) published by Cracovian Zionists. The supplement was at first edited by Runa Reitmanowa, then by Marta Hirschprung. The Children and Adolescents Journal had its own vignette and numeration. It was created as a biweekly, but there were departures from this rhythm. The supplement was a valuable and extensive research material. It was there where the problems of the Zionist adolescents have been discussed. The supplement was a tool in the Zionist upbringing, it helped create the sense of national identity. The paper was published in Polish, put it propagated the cult of Hebrew. It allowed readers to create the published material. As Children and Adolescents Journal, it was published until November 1936. Starting February 1937, the editorial board of the New Journal started publishing the supplement for adolescents – “Świat Młodych” (World of Young) and bade farewell to the readers of the section edited by Marta Hirschprung. The analysis of the content of the New Journal shows that per the readers’ request there was a comeback of the section addressed to the youngest. The “Dzienniczek” (Little Diary) has been showing up irregularly from 1937 to 1939.
