Opis:
A stochastic model describing the concentration of the drug in the body during its IV-administration is discussed. The paper compares a deterministic model created with certain simplifications with the stochastic model. Fluctuating and irregular patterns of plasma concentrations of some drugs observed during intravenous infusion are explained. An illustrative example is given with certain values of drug infusion rate and drug elimination rate.

We study the relationship between the solutions of stationary integrable partial and ordinary differential equations and coefficients of the second-order ordinary differen¬tial equations invariant with respect to one-parameter Lie group. The classical symmetry method is applied. We prove that if the coefficients of ordinary differential equation satisfy the stationary integrable partial differential equation with two independent variables then the ordinary differential equation is integrable by quadratures. If special solutions of integrable partial differential equations are chosen, then the coefficients satisfy the stationary KdV equations. It was shown that the Ermakov equation belong to a class of these equations. In the framework of the approach we obtained the similar results for generalized Riccati equations. By using operator of invariant differentiation we describe a class of higher order ordinary differential equations for which the group-theoretical method enables us to reduce the order of ordinary differential equation.

Let $₀^{(R)}(b)$ denote the class of functions F(z) = b + A₁z + A₂z² + ...$ analytic and univalent in the unit disk U which satisfy the conditions: F(U) ⊂ U, 0 ∉ F(U), $Im F^{(n)}(0) = 0$. Using Loewner's parametric method we obtain lower and upper bounds of A₂ in $₀^{(R)}(b)$ and functions for which these bounds are realized. The class $₀^{(R)}(b)$, introduced in [6], is a subclass of the class $_u$ of bounded, non-vanishing univalent functions in the unit disk. This last class and closely related ones have been studied by various authors in [1]-[4]. We mention in particular the paper of D. V. Prokhorov and J. Szynal [5], where a sharp upper bound for the second coefficient in $_u$ is given.

We study the existence of solutions for random system of fractional differential equations with boundary nonlocal initial conditions. We prove existence and uniqueness results for these systems. Some examples are presented to illustrate the theory.

This article is concerned with the study of the Borel summability of divergent power series solutions for certain singular first-order linear partial differential equations of nilpotent type. Our main purpose is to obtain conditions which coefficients of equations should satisfy in order to ensure the Borel summability of divergent solutions. We will see that there is a close affinity between the Borel summability of divergent solutions and global analytic continuation properties for coefficients of equations.

This note is concerned with the oscillation of third order nonlinear delay differential equations of the form (r_2(t) (r_q(t)y^\prime(t))^\prime)^\prime + p(t)y^\prime(t)+q(t)f(y(g(t))) = 0$. (*) In the papers [A.Tiryaki, M.F. Aktas, Oscillation criteria of a certain class of third order nonlinear delay differential equations with damping, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 325 (2007), 54-68] and [M.F. Aktas, A. Tiryaki, A. Zafer, Oscillation criteria for third order nonlinear-functional differential equations, Applied Math. Letters 23 (2010), 756-762], the authors established some sufficient conditions which insure that any solution of equation (*) oscillates or converges to zero, provided that the second order equation $(r_2(t)z^\prime(t))^\prime + (p(t)//r_1(t))z(t)=0$ (**) is nonoscillatory. Here, we shall improve and unify the results given in the above mentioned papers and present some new sufficient conditions which insure that any solution of equation (*) oscillates if equation (**) is nonoscillatory. We also establish results for the oscillation of equation (*) when equation (**) is oscillatory.

We consider the following Darboux problem: (1) $D_{xy}z(x,y) = f(x,y,z_{(x,y)},(D_xz)_{(x,y)},(D_yz)_{(x,y)})$, (2) z(x,y) = ϕ(x,y) on [-a₀,a] × [-b₀,b] \ (0,a] × (0,b], where $a₀,b₀ ∈ ℝ₊, a,b > 0. The operator $[0,a] × [0,b] ∋ (x,y) ↦ ω_{(x,y)} ∈ C([-a₀,0] × [-b₀,0],ℝ)$ defined by $ω_{(x,y)}(t,s) = ω(t+x,s+y)$ represents the functional dependence on the unknown function and its derivatives. We construct a wide class of difference methods for problem (1),(2). We prove the existence of solutions of implicit functional systems by means of a comparative method. We get two convergence theorems for implicit and explicit schemes, in the latter case with a nonlinear estimate with respect to the third variable. We give numerical examples to illustrate these results.

We solve two-term fractional differential equations with left-sided Caputo derivatives. Existence-uniqueness theorems are proved using newly-introduced equivalent norms/metric on the space of continuous functions. The metrics are modified in such a way that the space of continuous functions is complete and the Banach theorem on a fixed point can be applied. It appears that the general solution is generated by the stationary function of the highest order derivative and exists in an arbitrary interval [0,b].

A closed queueing structure is considered in the paper; the number of single-type messages is not constant and depends on time. The route of messages is given by an arbitrary stochastic matrix of transition probabilities. An asymptotic analysis of this structure in case of large number of service requests is conducted. The service parameters of each queueing system of this structure, as well as the probability of messages transition between systems, depend on time. A system of ordinary differential equations to calculate the average relative number of messages in each queueing system, depending on the time, was obtained.
