Opis:
Transform the way of visual indication of vehicle traction parameters and the introduction of instinctive, concentrated in one place on-board device service is now possible following the development of microprocessor systems. Centralize system for diagnosis and control of the vehicle in a single desktop, such as the one described here, brings except cost savings also facilitation in addition to the driver and service. Indicators of vehicle speed, engine rpm and other parameters of traction, and the rates and indication of operation states used for additional equipment during the performance of the activities are concentrated in one place. Controls elements, such as circuit breakers, switches and buttons are placed within the areas of appropriate comfort are grouped into blocks that are functionally similar, which further facilitates their location and service. The modern, multi-track switches allow additional control versatility, while reducing their volume, which facilitates access to each of them. Panel equipped with universal input and output circuits and system software provides the flexibility to work with the latest generation of sensors and actuators, and components used previously as well. This allows the design of modern devices and simple upgrading of vehicles already in service.

Laboratory tests are the cheapest and easily accessible source of medical information about a patient. Although they make an important and frequently decisive element of the diagnostic and therapeutic process, the expenditure on tests in Poland is many times lower than that in other countries of the European Union. The Supreme Audit Office, in accordance with its work plan and guided by the suggestions of the Parliamentary Health Committee, has conducted an audit to evaluate the organisation, quality, access to and financing of the activities related to laboratory diagnostics. The audit comprised: the Ministry of Health, medical entities and laboratory diagnostics subcontractors, including medical diagnostic laboratories in six regions of Poland.

The article presents a methodology of technical condition assessment of masonry and timber structures of historical buildings, demonstrated on the example of palace complex at Gorzanów. Based on a comprehensive diagnostic study prepared by the authors, both on location and in the laboratory, a flowchart was developed to illustrate technical condition assessment procedures for historical buildings as well as for determining existing damage. The flowchart presented here may be found helpful by those providing expert opinions while designing their research and determining damage causes and investors who undertake such a difficult task as an adaptation of historical buildings to modern functional requirements.

The article features a description of a network terminal unit - a field controller with integrated protection functions. The analysis of energy quality was carried out, along with extended auto-diagnostics which covered complete current and voltage analogue lines and was conducted without work interruptions. Additionally, the article describes advanced technologies of digital signal processing which were applied in the unit.

Changes in operating properties of the internal combustion engine, for various reasons, may manifest themselves with similar symptoms. An example is the drop in engine power, which may be caused by malfunctioning of the system such as power supply, or excessive wear geometric kinematic pairs as the piston-crankshaft. Identification of the causes of malfunction is the basis for carrying out corrective action. In practice, the workshop frequent disability are different manifestations of the drive units having identical symptoms. An alternative to iterative repair methods is the introduction of diagnostic tools that will help identify causes of failure, without having to remove the individual motor units. These provisions comply with the method of vibration analysis. The vibration signals provide information about the technical condition of the object. The paper presents examples of applying the methods of vibration in the identification of changes in the technical condition of the engine, which confirm their usefulness in identifying sources of failure. During the process of investigations, time courses of vibration accelerations were recorded with piezoelectric transducer mounted at half height of the first cylinder, perpendicular to its axis. The worked out method is based on vibration signals recorded at engine operation. The dominant amplitude components of time courses are strongly connected with air- fuel mixture ignition as well as with kinetic pairs of the engine.

In the paper selected problems related to diagnostics of onboard generators and alternators fitted with control systems are discussed. Problems refer to commutator generators and synchronous single- and threephase alternators. Special attention is paid to commutation effects. Results of incorrectness and possibility to detect them are discussed. There are also discussed effects associated with changes in a character of pulsation, which occur during shortings or insulation clearances in rotor or stator wiring. Possibility of diagnosis of generator’s or alternator’s parts by means of analysis of pulsation component parameters is indicated. In the case of alternators a number of diagnostic methods based on observation of changes in shape of voltage or frequency modulation, is discussed. This allows to detect many mechanical or electrical faults of generators, alternators or their control systems.

The paper describes standard methods of diagnosing of the AMV (the Rosomak) drive unit technical condition used in daily operation in military missions in Afghanistan. Main rule of the method of diagnosing of the vehicle technical condition is using an external diagnosing system. This system is connected to the vehicle at the time of checking of operation of the powertrain control system configuration of the drive unit to permit the diagnosis, including examination of the engine and gearbox. Enhanced diagnostic system is connected to the OBD system with using standard PC computer with appropriate software. Stored examples of the results of the operation of such system are included in the paper. Measuring was led on a dynamometer stand to perform research of a propulsion unit in work condition. Measurements of the engine parameters were led in steady state and transient engine operating conditions. Unsteady-state condition studies were carried out using the method of free-range acceleration of the engine. Pointed out the merits of the development of this type of study due to the perceived potential and usefulness of the results obtained. The results of studies carried out by various methods and assess the current condition of the engine and the entire powertrain were compared.

Badanie ultrabiomikroskopowe to silne narzędzie diagnostyczne, które może pomóc w prowadzeniu i leczeniu wielu pacjentów. Jest szczególnie pomocne w przypadku jaskry, gdyż nie zawsze patomechanizm powstawania zmian jest znany, a uszkodzenie nerwu wzrokowego często postępuje. Będąc świadomym przyczyny, można skutecznie leczyć pacjenta. Samo badanie UBM nie może jednak zastąpić pełnego badania klinicznego, włącznie z wykonaniem gonioskopii dynamicznej. Jest ono świetnym uzupełnieniem, które może potwierdzić wiele postawionych diagnoz.
Ultrabiomicroscopic (UBM) examination is a powerful diagnostic tool that can assist in the management and treatment of many patients. It is especially helpful in the case of glaucoma and damage to the optic nerve. We can successfully treat patients only if we are aware of the disease cause. Although UBM examination cannot replace a complete clinical examination (including dynamic gonioscopy), it is a great supplement that can confirm many diagnoses.

Introduction. There is a need to develop a new imaging technique in medicine. Gastroenterology is the branch of medicine focused on the digestive system and its disorders therefore for this branch is needed to detect all problems affecting the gastrointestinal tract. Aim. The aim of this article is to complete discuss the possibility of the new fluorescent imaging technics in gastrology to use innovative screening to identify individuals at an early stage. Material and methods. We discuss here imaging techniques such as include x-rays, computed tomography, scans, and magnetic resonance imaging in gastrology. Spectroscopy is the study of the formation and interpretation of spectra resulting from the interaction of all types of radiation on matter understood as a community of atoms and molecules. Various spectroscopic techniques are obtained by combining different types of radiation with different ways of its interaction with the test sample. They provide the opportunity to obtain detailed information about the tested substance – from its atomic composition, through its chemical structure, to its surface structure. Analysis of the literatue. The tissue fluorescence spectrum can be obtained by: (1) autofluorescence, or natural or primary fluorescence, i.e. by direct irradiation of the tissue with laser radiation (laser-induced fluorescence – LIF) and (2) photodynamic diagnosis (PDD), where spectrum analysis is preceded by systemic or local administration of the photosensitizer. Conclusion. The use of fluorescence imaging in colon cancer patient has potential to improve quality of treatment and diagnosis.

Spiroid gear is one of the progressive varieties of intersecting axis gears. It has a number of advantages: increased overlap coefficient, favourable contact conditions. Spiroid gears are notable for high loading and overloading ability, increased smooth running and less sensitivity to manufacturing and assembly errors, high reliability and durability. The analysis of the results of experiment on research of vibration of the spiroid gear PS-124 has shown, that the vibration level at frequency 200-300 Hz is reduced on 5 dB at increase of the resistance moment up to 1000 Nm at clockwise rotation of the reducer and at increase of the resistance moment up to 800 Nm at counter-clockwise rotation of the reducer. The vibration level at frequency 700-800 Hz is also increased on 5 dB at increase of the resistance moment up to 1000 Nm at clockwise rotation of the reducer and at increase of the resistance moment up to 800 Nm. If these vibration levels are exceeded, a defect is likely to occur. Economic efficiency of application of diagnostics systems is caused by increase of reliability and quality, reduction of accidents, decrease in defects, reduction of idle time of expensive equipment, reduction of expenses for maintenance and repair.

Condition monitoring of deterioration in the metallurgical equipment is essential for faultless operation of the metallurgical processes. These processes use various metallurgical equipment, such as induction motors or industrial furnaces. These devices operate continuously. Correct diagnosis and early detection of incipient faults allow to avoid accidents and help reducing financial loss. This paper deals with monitoring of rotor electrical faults of induction motor. A technique of recognition of acoustic signals of induction motors is presented. Three states of induction motor were analyzed. Studies were carried out for methods of data processing: Method of Selection of Amplitudes of Frequencies (MSAF10) and Bayes classifier. Condition monitoring is helpful to protect induction motors and metallurgical equipment. Further researches will allow to analyze other metallurgical equipment.

There has been a rapidly growing interest in the use of composite and polymer materials for the construction of marine propellers for over 20 years. The main advantages of these materials are a reduction in the weight of the propeller, increased efficiency due to the hydroelasticity effect, a reduction of the hydroacoustic signature, and a cost reduction for serial production. This paper presents an overview of diagnostic methods that can be applied at the design level and during the operation of marine propellers made of polymeric materials. Non-invasive contact and non-contact-based diagnostic techniques for evaluating the technical state of the propeller are reviewed, and the advantages and disadvantages of qualitative and quantitative methods are identified. Operational diagnostic procedures for propellers are areessential for the safety of vessels at sea. Finally, the structure of a diagnostic system is proposed. It combined diagnosis process with the genesis of damage and the prognosis of the technical condition, i.e. production and in-service diagnostics.

A wide range of abrasive tools is used in modern removal machining techniques. Their condition has significant influence on the quality of the shaped surfaces of the produced elements and the functions they perform. Abrasive tools diagnostics is in this case an essential element of the production process, connected with assessment of the abrasive tool surface condition. Such an assessment can be carried out with microscopic methods The work presents selected microscopic techniques on the cutting edge of technology such as: digital microscopy, confocal laser scanning microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Characteristics of each of the methods and the applied devices were briefly presented. The experimental part presents exemplary results of measurements and analyses carried out using the described methods. The works were carried out on, among others, grinding wheels with ceramic bond used in internal cylindrical grinding processes. The assessed tools were characterized by a number of features such as impregnated active surface, modified bond microstructure or smearing the active surface with chips of the machined material. The obtained results confirmed the possibility of application of the above-mentioned microscopic techniques in abrasive tools diagnostics.

Introduction. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a common disease with the highest prevalence in North America. Up to 40% of patients report persistent gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) symptoms despite proton pump inhibitor (PPI) therapy. Aim. The aim of this article is to complete discuss the GERD characterized by heartburn and/or regurgitation symptoms. Material and methods. We discuss here the evidence for medical therapy for PPI nonresponsive GERD. Analysis of the literature. GERD may present with a variety of other symptoms, including water brash, chest pain or discomfort, dysphagia, belching, epigastric pain, nausea, and bloating. In addition, patients may experience extraesophageal symptoms like cough, hoarseness, throat clearing, throat pain or burning, wheezing, and sleep disturbances. Conclusion. There has been an increase in GERD prevalence. GERD is one of the most common gastrointestinal disorders managed by gastroenterologists and primary care physicians.

W referacie przedstawiono rezultat analizy jakościowej partii elementów naboi artyleryjskich wykonanej dwukrotnie (1994 i 2004) na podstawie wyników badań diagnostycznych gromadzonych od 35 lat. Przedstawiono również wnioski i propozycje do skutecznego utrzymania bezpieczeństwa i niezawodności działania środków bojowych w nowych warunkach eksploatacyjnych.
The result of a qualitative analysis carried out in 19994 and 2004 on the base of 35 years expertise experience in diagnostics for lots of artillery cartridges is presented in the paper. Some conclusions and proposals for effective maintenance of safety and dependability of ordnance in new deployment conditions are provided.

This paper aims to analyse the results of the comparative study of the characteristic frequencies, in terms of Power Spectral Density (PSD), generated by an SKF6322 bearing in a rotational blower. Among all the analysed frequencies, we have focused on the ones generated by the shaft rotation speed, the one on the blades and the ones of the SKF6322 bearing, such as the tracks, the cage and the balls. For this study, we followed the ISO 10816 criteria, both in the sampling part and in the data analysis, using the speed values in terms of PSD, which improves the results in both high and low frequencies. This study can be used to predict the performance of bearings and their future failure, determining the most decisive frequency, the one with the highest incidence and the relative influence of each one on the different positions and monitoring coordinate axes. This procedure can be applied to improve the predictive maintenance protocol in order to improve the performance, efficiency and reliability of the equipment with bearings in their systems.

The paper presents the possible applications of using acoustic diagnostics in inspecting the technical condition of an internal combustion engine with autoignition on the example of the Fiat drive unit with common rail system. As a result of measuring the sound pressure level for specific faults and comparing the noise generated by the motor running smoothly, the detailed maps of changes in the acoustic spectrum are possible to generate. These results may be helpful in the future diagnostics of internal combustion engines. In the paper, the results of scientific work in the area of research, design and operation of internal combustion engines, conducted at the Department of Automotive Engineering, in cooperation with the Laboratory of Hydraulic Drives & Vibroacoustics of Machines at the Wroclaw University of Technology are included.

In the article the method of estimation of the technical state of motional batteries has been presented. The procedure of diagnosis has been discussed with focus on précising the criteria concerning the state of partial usefulness of a selected group of examined objects. One has provided an example of monitoring of steps of characterising the exploitation of batteries.

Malignant lymphomas represent approximately 5% of all malignant neoplasm of the head and neck and may involve nodal or extranodal sites. The head and neck region is the second most frequent anatomical site of extranodal lymphomas (after the gastrointestinal tract). Most are non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHL) of B-cell lineage. Hodgkin's lymphoma (HL) rarely occurs in extranodal site.The aim of the study was to evaluate head and neck manifestation of lymphoma (both HL and NHL) and emphasize diagnostic difficulties of these pathologies.Material and methods. Retrospective review of medical records of patients diagnosed for lymphomas in our department was performed. Authors analyzed demographic data as well as clinical manifestation and diagnostic trials.Results. 9 patients were included to the study. 7 of them suffered from extranodal NHL and 2 of them from HL (one patient - extranodal and one nodal manifestation). There were diagnostic complications in all cases and final diagnosis was made after surgical material analysis.Conclusions. This data demonstrate low sensivity of fine needle aspiration for identification of lymphoma as well as clinical picture is non characteristic.

Znaczący rozwój technologii wizyjnych, obejmujący zarówno sprzęt (kamery, serwery), jak również algorytmy obróbki i analizy obrazów, spowodował znaczące zwiększenie zainteresowania zastosowaniem tych technologii w diagnostyce toru kolejowego. Technologie wizyjne są szczególnie przydatne, a nawet niezbędne w przypadku detekcji wad powierzchniowych szyn. Zastosowanie w tym przypadku tradycyjnych metod diagnostycznych, bazujących na technice ultradźwiękowej, przynosi niedoskonałe rezultaty. Dlatego poszukuje się alternatywnych metod pozwalających na detekcje tego typu wad, czego przykładem może być metoda prądów wirowych, stosowana np. na kolejach niemieckich. Jednak jej praktyczne zastosowanie w systemach o znaczących prędkościach badania w trudnych warunkach, jakie panują na szlaku kolejowym, również powoduje określone ograniczenia. Stąd należy dążyć do zastosowania technologii w pełni bezkontaktowych, takich jak metody wizyjne.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań na stanowisku z kinematycznym wymuszeniem harmonicznym, przeprowadzonych dla zawieszenia hydropneumatycznego samochodu Citroen BX. Rejestrowano przyśpieszenia wybranych elementów pojazdu dla różnych stanów technicznych zawieszenia hydropneumatycznego (wartości ciśnień azotu w sferze). Przeprowadzono analizy FFT sygnałów przyspieszeń nadwozia dla stacjonarnej części wymuszenia i zestawiono widma dla różnych stanów technicznych zawieszenia hydropneumatycznego.
The paper presents results of researches made on kinematic extortion test stand of Citroen BX hydropneumatic suspension. The accelerations of chosen elements was measured for different technical conditions (value of nitrogen pressure in hydropneumatic sphere). There was Fast Fourier Transform of body accelerations made for stationary part of signal and the spectrums for different technical conditions of hydropneumatic suspension was compared.
