    Der Vorgelegte Aufsatz geht auf die Prinzipien der ökumenischen Bewegung im ersten Kapitel und konkret in dem zweiten Artikel des Dekrets Unitatis redin- tegratio. Der erste Abschnitt spricht dreifach vom Werk Jesu selbst für die Ein- heit: von der Einigung der Menschheit durch die Menschenwerdung, vom Gebet Jesu für die Einheit und der Stiftung der Eucharistie als wirksames Zeichen der Einheit der Kirche; sodann vom Gebot der Liebe und der Verheißung des Geis- tes. Der zweite Abschnitt handelt vom Wirken des Geistes für die Einheit in Jesus Christus. Der dritte Abschnitt nimmt die Lehre der Kirchenkonstitution über die sichtbare Verfassung der Kirche unter dem dreifachen Amt des Apo- stelkollegiums mit und unter Petrus wieder auf. Im Abschnitt vier wird erneut die Dreiämterlehre herangezogen wobei der Selbstvollzug der Kirche wird in einem Paralelismus von drei Gliedern geschildert: gläubige Predigt des Evange- liums, Verwaltung der Sakramente, Leitung in Liebe. Auch die Abschnitte fünf und sechs entsprechen der Kirchenkonstitution. Damit ist kurz das konziliare Selbstverständnis der katholischen Kirche als ein katholisches Prinzip des Öku- menismus umrissen.

    Zu den bemerkenswerten Früchten des 2.Vatikanums gehören unter anderem die zwischenkirchlichen Dialoge, vor allem außerhalb der römisch-katholischen Kirche. Es hat sich ergeben, dass das Konzil zu einem wichtigen Ereignis auch für andere Kirchen wurde, die sich dem interreligiösen Dialog öffneten, woraus eine neue ekk- lesiale Qualität entstand und eine neue Art der Theologie erschaffen wurde. Die Begegnung in Assisi 1986, die vor dem Konzilsdekret Unitatis redintegra- tio unmöglich zu sein schien, öffnete das Christentum für die anderen Religionen. Die Bedeutung dieser Begegnung wird u.a. im Parlament der Weltreligionen mit seinem „Projekt Weltethos“ (Chicago 1993), in der Charta Oecumenica (Graz 2001) oder in den Konferenzen der religiösen Anführer der mittelasiatischen Re- gion in Astan sichtbar. Der authentische Ökumenismus wird im Handeln geprüft. Man braucht ein gemeinsames Zeugnis für die christliche Wertordnung (Familie, Ehe, das Leben der Ungeborenen, der alten und kranken Menschen, Erziehung, Kinder- und Ju- gendbildung). Die dramatischen Ereignisse in der westlichen Ukraine, die Bedro- hung für die Staatsintegrität und für den Frieden erwarten auch eine entschiedene ökumenische Stellungnahme vom Christentum.

    Despite some disputable problems we must see the role and great significance of The Decree on Ecumenism. It still must be treated as the beginning of the way towards Christian unity; its assessment must refer not only to what it contributed to, but also to what it may contribute to - the unity of the Church. The ecumenical approach presented in The Decree on Ecumenism is correct and it may become a model to follow; it often corresponds with the image of the relationships between churches. From the perspective of the Orthodox Church it is important that ecumenical issues and the desire for unity are based on the strong foundation of ecclesiology. Even though the Decree often speaks about the “unity of Christians”, the objective of the ecumenical movement is the unity of the Church, which is reached by the rapprochement of Christians. Not the unity of Christians, but the unity of the Church, even if understanding of the nature of this unity is not discusses or, in other words, it is left open. In this silence the ecumenical approach can be seen.

    Dekret o ekumenizmie Unitatis redintegratio stanowi wciąż kluczowy dokument określający katolickie zaangażowanie w ruch ekumeniczny. W zmieniających się wciąż warunkach społecznych i kulturowych i wobec pojawiających się przed ekumenizmem wyzwań nieodzownym narzędziem jest opracowanie zasad hermeneutycznych treści Dekretu, zwłaszcza zawartych w nim katolickich zasad ekumenizmu. Zadania tego w swej pracy teologicznej podjął się ks. prof. Leonard Górka SVD, długoletni były pracownik i dyrektor Instytutu Ekumenicznego KUL. W swym komentarzu do Dekretu, prezentowanym w licznych publikacjach oraz podczas wykładów, sformułował listę tych zasad, osadzając jednocześnie interpretację dokumentu we właściwym kontekście historycznym. Artykuł akcentuje konieczność hermeneutyki Dekretu o ekumenizmie i przybliża podstawowe elementy hermeneutycznego komentarza do niego opracowane przez lubelskiego teologa.
    Decree on ecumenism is still the chief source of the Catholic involvement in ecumenical movement. Due to continuously changing of social and cultural conditions and in face of new challenges to ecumenism, it appears as indispensable tool to work out the hermeneutic principles of the Decree content, particularly, of the Catholic principles of ecumenism. This task was taken on by Rev. Prof. Leonard Górka SVD, former employee and Director of the Ecumenical Institute of the John Paul II Catholic University in Lublin. He listed these principles and described a historical context of their genesis in his commentary on Decree, which was presented in his numerous publications and during his lectures. Article stresses the need for the hermeneutics of Decree on ecumenism and inquires the key elements of hermeneutic commentary to Decree created by Lublin theologian.
