    Social entrepreneurship is one of the most discussed issues in recent management literature. In particular, social entrepreneurship has recently gained the attention of management scholars interested in understanding its sociological and anthropological aspects. This paper focuses on Claude Lévi-Strauss’s notion of “bricolage” and the way it can represent a significant opportunity to address emergent social needs. Building on a postmodernist philosophical perspective, namely Jacques Derrida’s “deconstructionism,” we attempt to unpack the bricolage phenomenon within the social entrepreneurship field. Following the findings of an in-depth longitudinal case study, we provide a theoretical conceptualization of possible entrepreneurial solutions to social needs, exploring the significant role of bricolage that is consequently interpreted as a suitable entrepreneurial opportunity to address particular types of social needs that we shall define, in a way, as emergent.

    Deconstructionism teaches us, that power lies within language, or rather that power decides, what language is supposed to mean. The old question asked in Alice in Wonderland: „Who decides, what words mean?“ builds up to the discrepancy in any language between the individual speaker’s intention and his or her position in the political power hierarchy. In recent decades calls for a more humane language have arisen, giving birth to movements of political correctness in the Western hemisphere, making it an issue of globalisation being fairly paired with left-wing ideology, making everyday conversation a subject of critique, calling for normative changes in language and ultimately facing the same question everywhere: Does it in fact help? This paper will shed light on the empirical linguistic knowledge we possess on the connection between form and content, going back to De Saussure and following the discourse of language and power in an historical manner, thus taking a hard look at the theoretical background of the dynamics of power and language, building a chronology of deconstructivist theorists like Derrida, Foucault, Bourdieu, and Barthes. These theories will be paralleled with the so-called linguistic turn from its beginning to the nowadays so popular Neo-Whorfian approach. Finally the deconstructivist method will be put in contrast to what we know about the connection between language on action following John Austin, circling back to the postmodern discursive approach known in everyday life: The language policing of everyday conversations by individual speakers, representing the deconstructivist movement, comparing it to the empirical data about language and culture, the named and the unnamed, empowerment and the mechanics of language shifting that were subject to studies already more than a hundred years ago, focusing on the shift of meaning and tabooing of vocabulary, dissecting what critics of political correctness call the „euphemism treadmill“, building up to the effects of political correctness we have come to experience so far. The goal is to finally answer the question, whether language policing and the growing public attention to the use of language do have an egalitarian effect on reality.

    Pewien segment współczesnej myśli kontynentalnej, zwłaszcza francuskiej, odnalazł zaskakująco innowacyjną recepcję w Stanach Zjednoczonych Ameryki, przyjmując autonomiczną postać French Theory. Cechą charakterystyczną tego nurtu są „przemieszczenia terytorialne”, zachodzące w obrębie tradycyjnych dziedzin wiedzy a do znaczących jego postaci należy między innymi twórczość Jacques’a Derridy, jak również mniej znana Michela de Certeau. Intelektualne spotkanie oraz wymiana, jaka zaszła między obu myślicielami skupiła się wokół problematyki pisma religii.
    A certain fragment of the contemporary continental thought, especially French, has found a surprisingly innovative reception in the United States of America, adopting the autonomous form of so called "French Theory". A characteristic feature of this trend are „territorial displacements” occurring within the traditional fields of knowledge and amongstsignificant figures there are the works by Jacques Derrida, as well as the less known works by Michel de Certeau. The intellectual meeting and exchange of thoughts that took place between these two thinkers was focused on the issues of religion writing.

    The aim of this article is to conceptualise emotions in the discourse of cultural studies, which were initiated in the 1970s. American discourse focuses on the role of emotions in shaping individuality and subjectivity (emotional labour), while European discourse focuses on their historically and culturally conditioned constructs. Even though they have been regarded in academic discourse as opposed to reason, today it is believed that emotions determine cognitive processes, and cognitive processes can have an effect on emotions. The article discusses theoretical concepts related to emotions: biological determinism/ biological reductionism, socio-cultural constructivism and deconstructionism, affective turn, and culture of emotions.
    Celem artykułu była konceptualizacja emocji w dyskursie nauk o kulturze, zapoczątkowanym w latach 70. XX wieku. Dyskurs amerykański koncentruje się na roli emocji w kształtowaniu indywidualności i podmiotowości (praca emocjonalna), podczas gdy dyskurs europejski ogniskuje się na ich historycznie i kulturowo uwarunkowanych konstruktach. Choć w dyskursie akademickim traktowano je jako przeciwieństwo rozumu, dziś uważa się, że emocje determinują procesy poznawcze, a procesy poznawcze mogą oddziaływać na emocje. Artykuł omawia teoretyczne koncepcje związane z emocjami: determinizm biologiczny/redukcjonizm biologiczny, konstruktywizm społeczno-kulturowy i dekonstrukcjonizm, zwrot afektywny, kultura emocjonalna.

    Opis:
    The aim of the article Space of the Body in the Liquid Modernity Culture is to find motifs of a naked or a dressed body in the culture. Models of depicting corporality is presented in the orbit of modern categories,ideas and notions shaped in the cultural spheres of the Enlightenment, such as: authenticity, naturalness, identity, and individuation of body. Consequently, the body turned out to be a complex issue, comprising also the issues of clothing, hygiene, dietetics, power, sexuality and education. The categories of dignity, freedom, individual autonomy, resulting from the philosophical postulates of humanism, became the source of modern perception and experience of the body in the 18th century. The first part of this text discusses issues of human body in literature and culture starting from medieval times till the end of the 17the century. The second part of the article refers to the issues of body in the Liquid Modernity Culture and involves such issues as the desire for asymmetry and freedom (Gareth Pugh and Zaha Hadid), fashion and architecture after modernism, the sensations of the body in the context of fashion, art, communication and architecture, human body as a message and fine art, creation of scenic identity and expecting an android.
    Przedmiotem rozważań jest motyw ciała nagiego i odzianego w kulturze płynnej nowoczesności. Modele deskrypcji ludzkiej cielesności w kulturze współczesnej zostały ukształtowane pod wpływem nowożytnych kategorii, pojęć i wartości, takich jak: autentyczność, tożsamość, naturalność i indywidualizacja ciała. Wnikanie w alchemię ciała poszerza obszar badań o zagadnienia wolności, władzy, seksualności czy edukacji. Kategorie wolności, niezależności i godności postulowane przez humanistów stały się źródłem nowoczesnego postrzegania i doświadczania ludzkiej cielesności. Pierwsza część artykułu odkrywa topikę ludzkiego ciała w kulturze od czasów średniowiecza do osiemnastego stulecia. Druga część artykułu ukazuje ciało w kulturze płynnej nowoczesności. Przedmiotem opisu stały się następujące zagadnienia: dekonstruktywizm w modzie, pragnienie asymetrii i wolności (Gareth Pugh i Zahy Hadid), moda a architektura po modernizmie, odczucia ciała w kontekście mody, sztuki, komunikacji i architektury, dekonstrukcja wobec prądów neoklasycznych, ciało jako komunikat i dzieło sztuki, kreacja tożsamości scenicznej, czekanie na androida.
