    Opis:
    In the following paper German and Polish deverbal noun phrases will be examined in respect to the linearization of their constituents. The point of departure will be the adjacency condition which is obligatory in the Genitive DPs in German, but optional in Polish. In other words, Polish displays more linearization possibilities than German. In addition to adjacency which is conditioned by grammar also communicative factors and text grammar condition the linearization of DPs. Constituents with a higher comment value tend to appear as far to the right of the deverbal noun as possible, while topic constituents stand closer to the noun.

    The aim of the paper Sunday Changes Nothing is to analyze the lifestyles of social groups at risk of poverty and social exclusion, with a particular emphasis on their time management skills. The article is a review of the literature in this area, enriched by five-yearold field observation. Although today poverty is treated as a correlate of many factors, researchers fail to notice these correlations exhaustively. Poverty does not have be the result of the lack of effort, but, in some cases, can be a consequence of anomie affecting a given social group. Hence, poverty studies pay more and more attention to the lack of prospective thinkin that accompanies a variety of social groups—single mothers, long-term unemployed, disabled, or homeless people. Sustained dependence and discomfort leads to many disorders, such as neutralization, malaise, and even depression. A sense of senselessness, lack of adequate living conditions, or unproductive daily routine has devastating ramifications and results in being subordinated to external factors. This lifestyle restricts needs and submits all the efforts to survivability. Different social group living in poverty—impoverished workmen, clients of DPS, or homeless—deal with it in individually in different w ays. They all, however, share the same inability to manage their time efficiently, thus hindering capability to rest, and, in consequence, significantly reducing the quality of life.

    Autorzy artykułu podejmują problem kondycji usług społecznych realizowanych przez instytucje pomocy społecznej na przykładzie województwa wielkopolskiego. W pierwszej części opracowania opisany zostaje status usług w systemie pomocy społecznej oraz ich rola w świadczeniu wsparcia społecznego. Dalsza część rozważań ma charakter empiryczny i sprowadza się do analizy danych zastanych. Na ich podstawie przedstawiony jest socjologiczno-demograficzny portret tych kategorii społecznych, które obecnie i w najbliższych latach zgłaszać będą największe zapotrzebowanie na świadczenie usług. W dalszej części ukazana jest podaż usług w kontekście dostępnych zasobów instytucjonalnych i wybranych form pomocy świadczonej przez instytucje pomocy społecznej.

    The International Refugee Organization (IRO) was the first specialized agency created by the United Nations. It operated between 1947 and 1951 and had under its mandate the masses of displaced persons (DPs) and refugees remaining outside of their countries of origin in the immediate post-war context. The purpose of this paper is to describe the main fields of activity of the IRO and to point out those aspects of its action that could be an inspiration for the future activities of the international community towards the resolution of the refugees issue in a changed contemporary context of this problem. The author claims that as the activity of IRO was the suitable and efficient way to solve the DPs and refugees problem at the time of the crisis connected with the massive presence of refugees, it merits a deeper examination as a temporary instrument of the international community also nowadays, during such critical periods.

    This article is a preliminary attempt to read the condition of survivors – those who were imprisoned in the displaced persons camps in occupied Germany just after the war. In this context author considers Tadeusz Nowakowski’s novel Obóz Wszystkich Świętych (Camp of All Saints), full of satire, grotesque and thoroughly soaked with sarcasm. The addition to Nowakowski’s vision is Tadeusz Borowski’s short story Bitwa pod Grunwaldem (Battle of Grunwald), as well as his poems from this time, e.g. Demokratyczne dary (Democratic Gifts), and also Jerzy Zagórski’s reports W południowych Niemczech (In Southern Germany), where the camps for DPs are compared to Henry Moore’s anthropomorphic figures sleeping in the tunnel. Separate reflections are devoted to the fate of Ida Fink, Shoah survivor, who was imprisoned in the Ettlingen camp. The writer mentions this time in the novel Podróż (Travel) and the interviews. Textual analyzes lead the author of the article to the conclusion that the narratives are proof of the inability to experience peace of mind in the time of freedom and generally the inability to return to pre-war times.

    Publishing and bookshop catalogues are one of the most important sources of information about the book market. They are becoming increasingly important when they originated in publishing and bookshop institutions that have no longer been in existence and yet are significant for the entire publishing movement. Quite often they are the only source of information about titles, authors and companies. The paper discusses printed publishing and bookshop catalogues of Polish entities in the book market, functioning in Western Germany in the years 1945-1950. Attention has been paid to their layouts, graphic design, and contents.

    Digital payment system (DPS) is witnessing growth day by day, especially, in Asian and European countries. E-banking, electronic payment, cashless or less cash economy, digital economy, Digital payment system are all synonymously used to represent new technology in use. Many researchers have discussed about DPS practices leading to economic and sustainable development, its significance and challenges, factors for intention to use and adoption etc. This paper discusses implementation process of a 100% cashless township, created in India. With digitalization, one cannot rule out the ambiguity with issues like cyber security, digital identity and related policies, and hence we see people conveniently using both, cash and card system. But in India, once being tagged as fully digital village is switching back to the old all cash mode. So the much promising digital village initiatives have fallen flat. Hence this paper presents a case of a government company, which has fostered a responsible action in subordinating governments’ ‘Digital India program’. In 2016, GNFC has created first 100% Cashless Township in Gujarat, India, consisting of 5000 permanent residents and 10,000 floating population and still continue to transact in digital-only form. This sustainable model has been replicated to more than 100 townships across the country and is adoptable to rural areas to enable successful ‘Digital Villages‘. We also discuss the sustainable impact generated to the stakeholders in the township. We use primary data and secondary data to collect required information and use Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model to identify user adoption and acceptance factors in GNFC s digital-only mode of payment system.

    In this essay the results of low-altitude photogrammetric photos study are presented. The photos were gained by using a model of radio-controlled hang-glider with an amateur photo camera installed on it. The analysis of the photos was done on the photogrammetric digital station "Delta". On the area of aerial flight polygonal and leveling traverse was create to allow the photos being photogrammetrically worked out. Thanks to the traverse the spatial model received from photos was oriented in accepted coordinate system. Finally, on the basis on the report from absolute orientation and geodesy measurement conclusions were proposed. They are connected with taking measuring photos with photo camera installed on the board of unmanned hang-glider.
    W pracy przedstawiono wyniki fotogrametrycznego opracowania zdjęć niskopułapowych, pozyskanych za pomocą sterowanego drogą radiową modelu motolotni z zainstalowaną amatorską małoobrazkową kamerą fotograficzną. Analizę zdjęć przeprowadzono na fotogrametrycznej stacji cyfrowej Delta. Aby zdjęcia można było opracować fotogrametrycznie, na terenie objętym nalotem została założona geodezyjna osnowa sytuacyjno-wysokościowa, dzięki której model przestrzenny otrzymany ze zdjęć został zorientowany w przyjętym układzie geodezyjnym. Ostatecznie na podstawie raportu z orientacji bezwzględnej oraz pomiaru geodezyjnego wysunięto wnioski co do możliwości wykonywania zdjęć pomiarowych aparatem fotograficznym z pokładu bezzałogowej motolotni.

    The present article introduces results of the empirical research about a relationship between the index of the sense of loneliness and a level of satisfaction with the life among people staying in five residential care facilities (DPS ) in Cracow. The research was carried out in 5 residential care facilities (DPS ) in Cracow. There were 70 respondents (50 women and 20 men). It was conducted by using “Satisfaction With Life Scale” and “The 11-item De Jong Gierveld Loneliness Scale”. The analysed research data showed a negative nature of the relationship between the index of the sense of loneliness and a level of satisfaction.

    Artykuł systematyzuje częściowo nieznane dotychczas aspekty biografii rosyjskiego chłopa Iwana Kriwoziercewa, będącego po 1945 r. do ujawnienia zbrodni w latach dziewięćdziesiątych XX w. najważniejszym świadkiem zbrodni katyńskiej. Tekst przedstawia szczegóły represji i śmierci ojca świadka, dostępne obecnie informacje na temat jego rodziny, ucieczki z miejsca zamieszkania, kompletu zeznań składanych polskim władzom i pisarzom oraz śledztwa podjętego po niewyjaśnionej do dziś śmierci Kriwoziercewa. Przedmiotem artykułu jest także prawnicza analiza i weryfikacja zeznań złożonych przez Kriwoziercewa, ocena pobudek postępowania świadka i rekonstrukcja charakteru postaci, także w związku z filmem fabularnym.
    The article systematises the previously unknown aspects of the biography of the Russian peasant Ivan Krivozertsev (1915–1947), who was the most important witness of the Katyn massacre after 1945 until the disclosure of this crime in the 1990s. The article presents details of the repression and death of the witness’s father, currently available information about his family, escape from his place of residence, complete testimony to the Polish authorities and writers, and the investigation undertaken after the unexplained death of Ivan Krivozertsev. The article’s subject is also the legal analysis and verification of testimonies made by Ivan Krivozertsev, the assessment of the witness’ motives and the reconstruction of the witness's character in connection with the recently made feature film.

    This paper presents an innovation methodology for quantity assessment the safety of dynamic positioning in locally confined area of technological work performance under nonlinear dynamic disturbances of environmental factors. The methodology is based on new integrated paradigm of prediction coordinated components interactions, which form dynamic positioning system. Proposed methodology implementation effect is based on the analysis of complex models that form the knowledge base. The comprehensive reserve of controllable thruster’s reactions was adopted as quantitative characteristic of dynamic positioning safety.

    In this work, the free vibration behaviour of A357 composite plate reinforced with dual particle size (DPS) (3 wt.% coarse + 3 wt.% fine, 4 wt.% coarse + 2 wt.% fine, and 2 wt.% coarse + 4 wt.% fine) SiC is evaluated using the finite element method. To this end, first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) has been used. The equations of motion have been derived using Hamilton’s principle and the solution has been obtained through condensation technique. A thorough parametric study was conducted to understand the effect of reinforcement size and weight fraction, boundary conditions, aspect ratio and length-to-width ratio of plate geometry on natural frequencies of A357/DPS-SiC composite plates. Results reveal significant influence of all the above variables on natural frequency of the composite plates. In all the cases, A357 composite plate reinforced with 4 wt.% coarse and 2 wt.% fine SiC particles displayed the highest natural frequency owing to its higher elastic and rigidity modulus. Further, the natural frequencies increase with decrease in aspect ratio of the plate geometry. Natural frequency also decreases with increase in the number of free edges. Lastly, increasing the length-to-width ratio drastically improves the natural frequency of the plates.
