    Ordinary chondrites DaG 610 and NWA 869, as well as graphite nodules from Canyon Diablo iron meteorites were investigated by confocal Raman microspectroscopy in order to identify extraterrestrial minerals. Olivines, orthopyroxenes (enstatite, bronzite and hyperstene), clinopyroxenes (pigeonite), plagioclase, troilite and various carbon phases, mainly graphite and diamond have been identified and characterized.

    Opis:
    Artykuł dotyczy konfliktu indochińskiego, powszechnie zwanego wojną wietnamską, jednego z najdłuższych starć zimnej wojny. Podjęto próbę przedstawienia przez pryzmat opracowań Zarządu II Sztabu Generalnego WP, tj. wojskowego wywiadu PRL. Analizie poddano m.in. sytuację militarną wojsk amerykańskich oraz ich sojuszników w Wietnamie Południowym w roku 1967 roku.

    Opis:
    This paper concerns Directed Acyclic Graph task scheduling on parallel executors. The problem is solved using two new implementations of Tabu Search and genetic algorithm presented in the paper. A new approach to solution coding is also introduced and implemented in both metaheuristics algorithms. Results given by the algorithms are compared to those generated by greedy LPT and SS-FF algorithms; and HAR algorithm. The analysis of the obtained results of multistage simulation experiments confirms the conclusion that the proposed and implemented algorithms are characterized by very good performance and characteristics.

    This paper aims to present Norwegian experimental literature in the 1960s with respect to the profilister’s literary orientation and to the concept of nyenkelhet (new simplicity). It begins with a presentation of the Norwegian literary context, the accent being placed on Profil and the new generation of young Norwegian writers who formed both the Literary Circle Profil and founded the literary magazine of the same name. The first section of the paper entitled “Norwegian Literature in the 1960s and the ‘Profilister’ Vold and Solstad” is an introduction to a newly formed literary sphere which includes not only experimental poems and fiction but also critical essays and book reviews. To present the new ideas of these young writers, we have used appropriate theoretical articles selected from Profil regarding Norwegian fiction, the role of the writer in society, and Norwegian Modernism of the 1960s. A new type of Norwegian literature is also characterized by the concept of nyenkelhet (new simplicity) introduced to Norway by Jan Erik Vold’s experimental poems. The two following sections approach the concept of nyenkelhet (new simplicity) from two different literary perspectives: as they are reflected in Dag Solstad’s collection of short stories entitled Svingstol (Swivel Chair; 1967) and Jan Erik Vold’s volume of prose poems BusteR brenneR (1976). In addition, the article outlines the concept of nyenkelhet (new simplicity) as it is presented by the Norwegian writer Dag Solstad in the article “Tingene og verden” (Things and the World), published in Profil in 1967.

    In blasting of soft to medium hard rock, the problem of high density resulting in excessive utilization of emulsion explosive is well known. The authors have conducted some experimental blasts to delve into the detonation behavior of conventional blasting and various other explosive consumption reduction techniques which induce air gaps using plastic tubes, plastic bottles or plastic balls in the explosive column. Resistance wire technique is used for gauging in-hole continuous velocity of detonation. The VOD varies from 5321.6 m/s to 4544.2 m/s and from 5123.4 m/s to 4274.2 m/s in conventional site mixed emulsion column and distributed spherical air gap column respectively. The detonation behavior is stable and similar in both these cases. While using plastic bottles or plastic tubes as air gaps, the VOD is fluctuating from 4636.3 m/s to 3268.4 m/s and from 4935.9 m/s to 3362.8 m/s respectively with a collapse of about 12 % from the average VOD of conventional SME column. The VOD falls abruptly when the detonation wave encounters large air gaps but it is successfully travelling through the air gaps making the detonation behavior more capricious.
