Opis:
Processing digital radio - either on the transmitter or the receiver side - requires a significant amount of digital processing. A receiver for digital radio usually consists of two parts, a ”hardware” part, handling the conversion from an analog antenna signal to a stream samples, and a ”software part”, a decoder, decoding the samples and generating audio, text, images and video. In this paper some aspects of the design and implementation of Qt-DAB, a software decoder for Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB and DAB+), is discussed. The Qt-DAB decoder runs on a variety of hardware platforms, hardware as small as creditcard sized computers as the Raspberry PI 2, and home computers. In the design performance and flexibility were key. The design is such that it is easy to interface to different hardware SDR devices and easy to add new features. While the core of the Qt-DAB software is formed by the signal processing part, interpreting the incoming sample stream and generating audio, text and images, by far the largest part of the software is handling user interaction and user comfort. Qt-DAB provides a large amount of options, options to select a device, to inspect the signal, to store signals, and options to set the configuration. All in all, it shows that about three quarters of the amount of code is involved is the non-signal processing part.

Opis:
Pomnik przyrody to jedna z dziesięciu form ochrony przyrody w Polsce. Według Głównego Urzędu Statystycznego obecnie jest ich na terenie kraju 35094. Wśród nich wyróżnia się pomnikowe drzewa, źródła, wywierzyska, wodospady, skałki, jary, jaskinie. Spośród prawnie chronionych obiektów drzewa stanowią najliczniejszą grupę (94,40%). Są to pojedyncze drzewa, grupy drzew, aleje. Sędziwe drzewa oraz związane z nimi tajemnicze historie, wierzenia i legendy mogą stać się zasobem interesującym turystów. Czasem mogą stanowić przyrodniczą wizytówkę miejscowości, być istotnym elementem jej promocji. Turystyka stwarza człowiekowi dogodne warunki do poznawania wartości, odbierania różnego rodzaju treści poznawczych i estetycznych. Drzewa, jako element naturalnego krajobrazu, wśród bogactwa zasobów przyrodniczych mogą stać się również podstawą rozwoju turystyki edukacyjnej. W niniejszej pracy zostaną przedstawione przykłady i możliwości turystycznego wykorzystania drzew pomnikowych występujących na terenie Państwowego Gospodarstwa Leśnego „Lasy Państwowe” (PGL LP) jako obiektów dziedzictwa przyrodniczego, i kulturowego.
The monuments of nature are the one of ten forms of protection of nature in Poland. In according to Main Statistical Office is them on terrain of country 35094. Among them the monumental trees, waterfalls, canyons and caves of source. Trees make up are the most numerous group (94,40%) from among legally protected objects. They are individual trees, group of trees, alleys. Old trees as well as connected with them mysterious histories, belief sand legends can stand with interesting tourists supply. They can make up the natural visiting-card of locality, essential element of his promotion. The trees, as element of natural scenery, among wealth of natural supplies can stand with basis of development of educational function tourism also. The examples in present introduced and the possibility of touristic use of monumental trees of The State Forests National Forest Holding terrain as objects of natural, historical and cultural heritage.

Opis:
Single Frequency Networks (SFN) of transmitters are currently used in television and digital broadcasting to effectively cover large areas using minimal spectral resources and using transmitters with much lower power than if the same area were covered using one transmitter. It is therefore a very ecological solution. In this way, much better reception conditions are obtained in large city areas, as the signal reaches the receiving antenna from different directions, reducing the risk of shading. However, in this type of network one should take into account the loss of signal caused by signal interference. Using the appropriate propagation model, it is possible, with appropriate assumptions, to check how the operation of the third transmitter affects the distribution and size of the deepest fades in relation to the network in which there are two transmitters.

Szkic oparty został na analizie znaczeń słów-kluczy, którymi są klocek i dąb, tworzących semantyczną spiralę w wierszu klocek Tadeusza Różewicza. Ponadto wydobyte zostały mickiewiczowskie tropy, związane z jego dziełami, biografią i topografią Muzeum w Śmiełowie. Tekst odsyła do Pana Tadeusza i gawędziarskiego charakteru dzieła, co jest podstawą wykazania oralności wiersza. Z tej perspektywy i przy wykorzystaniu wykładów lozańskich, rozpoznane zostały zagadnienia metapoetyckie poruszane przez Różewicza – przede wszystkim jako napięcie między poezją meliczną, przechowywaną w sercu, a poezją ujętą w formę wiersza.

Opis:
The current popularity of both radio and television services in the United Kingdom which are run on a not-for-profit basis, be they operated by the BBC or to a much lesser extent by the state-owned Channel 4, attests to the strength of public service broadcasting there. Largely – as this article seeks to explain – the strengths of the BBC and the influence of the public service ethos even in the way mainstream private-sector broadcasting, especially television, is regulated, can be attributed to the importance placed upon public service media right from the 1920s. Even in this pluralistic, multi-platform, age of media proliferation, the effects can be seen of the early establishment of clear objectives and standards for the sector by its founders, which have been largely maintained by their successors. There have been many pressures on the BBC and its supporters in public life to cede territory to the commercial sector, but although change has in some respects been inevitable, the corporation’s funding model and constitution have served the population well in bolstering the BBC against such attacks on its ability to function as an important bulwark of quality broadcasting and freedom of expression in democratic society. This is not merely a matter of territory, though, of spectrum allocation and the distribution of resources. It is also about public perceptions of the BBC and its output, the trust it enjoys among its audiences and the resultant brand loyalty upon which it ultimately depends and which is firmly rooted in quality and inclusiveness. This public sector ethos has, however, almost inevitably been weakened since the 1920s, as increasingly strident voices have lobbied for greater opportunities for the private sector to generate as much profit as possible from broadcasting have gained greater traction at certain critical points in the history of broadcasting, as is now also the case in 2016.
