The study attempts to analyse India's trade potential with other SAARC member states under the SAFTA agreement by means of the augmented gravity model, at annual frequency from 1992 to 2019 in general and from 2004 to 2019 in particular. The findings of this paper prove that the intra-regional trade volumes between SAARC countries can be increased and encouraged. Moreover, the research shows that it is important to introduce structural reforms aiming to boost trade with non-member states. It would be advisable for researchers to take into account the effect locational and infrastructural advantages have on transport costs through the application of a gravity model. Previous research has also demonstrated that the augmented gravity model may prove helpful in explaining some key features of South Asian trade, which traditional gravity models fail to do.

W artykule opisano rolę i miejsce współpracy transgranicznej w zakresie wspierania zrównoważonego rozwoju sąsiednich państw odnośnie terytoriów graniczących z regionu karpackiego i krajów członkowskich Unii Europejskiej. Przeprowadzono analizę porównawczą na podstawie wskaźników przedstawiających społeczny i gospodarczy rozwój regionów sąsiednich państw w obszarach przygranicznych. Wskazano, że kwestia pochodzenia etnicznego ludności jest istotnym czynnikiem rozwoju współpracy transgranicznej. Autorka sugeruje potrzebę aktywizacji współpracy transgranicznej poprzez pobudzanie procesów integracji i konwergencji w celu zapewnienia zrównoważonego rozwoju obszarów graniczących sąsiednich państw.
The paper is dedicated to the role and place of cross-border cooperation in supporting sustainable development of neighboring bordering territories of the Carpathian region and member-states of the European Union. The comparative analysis of the indicators showing social and economic development of the regions of neighboring states from the countries on both sides of the border has been conducted. The ethnic affinity is underlined as an important element of development of cross-border cooperation. The need is substantiated in activation of cross-border cooperation through boosting integration and convergence processes with aim to provide balanced development of bordering territories.
В статье обоснованы роль и место трансграничного сотрудничества в обеспечении устойчивого развития смежных приграничных территорий Карпатского региона и стран-членов Европейского Союза. Осуществлен сравнительный анализ индикаторов социально-экономического развития областей сопредельных государств по обе стороны границы. Отмечено весомую составляющую развития трансграничного сотрудничества - этническую близость населения приграничных территорий. Обоснована необходимость активизации трансграничного сотрудничества усиления интеграционных и конвергенцийних процессов с целью обеспечения сбалансированного развития приграничных территорий.

Planning, including planning in logistics, consists the primary function of management, as it is logically and chronologically first in the management process. The efficiency of the subsequent activities in the company depends on the proper realization of this stage. Therefore, finding possibilities of improving this part of management process, aimed at reducing the risk of undertaken planning decisions, creates an important issue in the research activity. One of the possible ways of improving planning process is to integrate it within internal company’s activity, as well as to include it to cooperation with partners. As a result, the aim of this article is to identify needs and opportunities of integration for selected planning levels in company’s work.

The paper examines the efforts to enhance regional cooperation in the Western Balkans and how this has increased engagement between the EU and the Western Balkans. The regional initiatives are more present when the European Union (EU) shows little interest in the Western Balkans region. However, these efforts have yet to address all the concerns adequately and have not brought to life tangible results despite many political declarations. One of the most commented initiatives, like the Open Balkans, has caused concern in the region and caused tension between Kosovo and Albania over the past few years. The paper enlightens the challenges of regional cooperation during the last years, the contribution of this process in the integration process, and the role played by Albania. Also, the paper tries to analyze the success and failures of the "Open Balkan" initiative and the Regional Common Market. Furthermore, the paper framework examined the progress of regional cooperation initiatives and the region's attention to the European integration process. Additionally, the paper seeks to determine whether regional cooperation is a viable alternative for the region or merely an external-driven initiative and the role of the EU in promoting regional cooperation

The aim of this article is to present of elements which influence on shaping the evry day life skills; cooperation, integration and inclusion. The scenario of merging is directed to primary pupils class 4-6 to carry out during form period. To spread this notion as a crucial part of education UNICEF is involved as well as another organizations.

The subject of work are the Euro regions as institutions of crossborder cooperation organized at the borders of member states of the European Union and border regions of the neighbouring countries. The objective of the work is to present the functioning in Europe of models of trans-border cooperation development as well as an assessment of various forms of Euro regions created at the borderland of Ukraine. The author used official statistical data as well as legal regulations in place and information regarding activity of euro regions and subject literature. Within the work organizational infrastructure and the functioning of euro regions at the border of Ukraine were described in the short, medium and long perspective. Further development of trans-border cooperation requires strengthening of institutional structure of euro regions and a larger engagement of economic entties and social organs in cross-border areas.
Przedmiotem pracy są euroregiony jako instytucje współpracy transgranicznej organizowane na granicach krajów członkowskich Unii Europejskiej oraz regionów przygranicznych państw sąsiednich. Badaniami objęto różne modele współpracy na szczeblu regionalnym, krajowym i ponadnarodowym. Celem pracy jest zaprezentowanie funkcjonujących w Europie modeli rozwoju transgranicznej współpracy, jak również ocena różnych form Euroregionów utworzonych na granicach Ukrainy. W pracy wykorzystano oficjalne statystyki, obowiązujące regulacje prawne i informacje o działalności euroregionów oraz literaturę problemu. W pracy opisano infrastrukturę organizacyjną i funkcjonowanie euroregionów na granicy Ukrainy w krótkiej, średniej i długiej perspektywie. Dalszy rozwój współpracy transgranicznej wymaga wzmocnienia struktury instytucjonalnej euroregionów i większego zaangażowania podmiotów gospodarczych i społecznych w obszarach transgranicznych.

Independent Self-governing Trade Union “Solidarity” did not accept the disintegration of the state by dividing into 49 small provinces and districts liquidation – both in the program and operations sought to community actions. Similarly happened in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie region, where “Solidarity” unionists in the public and conspiracy activities sought to create a macro-region of their trade union within the limits of the liquidated in 1975 Bydgoszcz-region. By 1989 cooperation between regions: Bydgoszcz, Toruń and Włocławek was very good. The experience of “Solidarity” can now be used in the process of integration of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie region, as an idea of regional solidarity – a sense of mutual dependence and mutual responsibility for the prosperity and development of the entire region.
NSZZ „Solidarność” nie akceptował dezintegracji państwa poprzez rozbicie w 1975 r. struktur administracyjnych na 49 małych województw i likwidację powiatów. Zarówno w swoim programie, jak i w bieżącej działalności dążył do działań wspólnotowych. Podobnie było w regionie kujawsko-pomorskim, gdzie związkowcy zarówno w okresie jawnej działalności, jak i w konspiracji, dążyli do utworzenia związkowego makroregionu w granicach zlikwidowanego w 1975 r. województwa bydgoskiego. Do 1989 r. współpraca między regionami związkowymi Bydgoszczy, Torunia i Włocławka była bardzo dobra. Doświadczenie „Solidarności” można obecnie wykorzystać w procesie integracji województwa kujawsko-pomorskiego jako ideę solidarności regionalnej, czyli poczucie wzajemnej zależności i wzajemnej odpowiedzialności za pomyślność i rozwój całego regionu.

Global cultural exchange is a well-known, boundless phenomenon. Therefore, it is fundamental for countries to promote mutual understanding and tolerance of cultural diversity, to prevent stigmatization and social hermetization from migrant backgrounds, and to foster social inclusion, thus fulfilling the assumptions of sustainable development. Polish society is considered to be relatively homogenous in terms of culture, however, the increasing influx of immigrants, especially from Eastern Europe, poses a new challenge for its national schooling system and multicultural education. That is why the aim of the article was to verify the state of preparation of Polish schools for multicultural education, mutual attitudes of the participants of the educational process, and the relationships between them, as well as to indicate dependency between parents, students, and teachers. The article presents the results of quantitative research carried out in a group of early childhood education teachers from border regions. The results of the conducted research showed the state of intercultural education in Polish schools before the start of the war between Russia and Ukraine. The study is barely the attempt of monitoring the condition of intercultural education, especially in the current “new multicultural reality” in Polish schools.

Completion of the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) was the last successful ‘grand project’ in the European Union (EU). Since then, the EU has either failed or, at most, quite effectively – but only responds to the emerging challenges and problems. At the same time, along with the stagnation in the deepening of integration between all the EU member states, differentiation of integration in the EU is progressing very rapidly. This phenomenon is a consequence of a mainly two processes: reform of the euro area and the development of the enhanced cooperation. The aim of the article is to try to analyze the problem of whether enhanced cooperation is really treated as a ‘last resort’ or, rather, gradually, as a specifi c ‘bypass’, which make it possible to overcome obstacles relating to launching a new integration projects. The starting point of this analysis is the thesis on the stagnation of integration in the EU, that has been taking place for more than a dozen years. Very synthetically this issue is addressed in the one part of the study. The succeeding two parts concern the development of enhanced cooperation and its importance in overcoming the stagnation of integration in the EU.

The Persian Gulf region is one of the most important areas in current global security system. Vast energy resources located in the region are essential for world’s economic stability and development, which also brought constant foreign penetration of the Persian Gulf system.The Gulf Cooperation Council has been established in 1981 and since then it plays an important role as one of the regional security mechanisms. In the article the reasons behind organization’s formations are described, as well as an evolution of the integration processes is shown in historical perspective. Also, the socio-economic and military positions of the GCC members are analyzed and the main challenges faced by the organization are pointed out. The GCC still serves as coordination agenda rather than strict integration organization but in the last years we may notice growing efforts to strengthen the GCC’s mechanisms.

The motivation for the analysis is the European Year of Skills 2023 announced by the European Commission. The mian purpose of the article is to show the problems of the contemporary functioning of European science cooperation policy. Knowledge in a broad sense, including scientific and expert knowledge, is increasingly important in the process of political decision-making. The article presents the evolution of the approach and spread of the European Uniosą activity in the internal and external dimensions of its science policy. The authors analyzed the operational tools of European Union’s (EU) scientific cooperation, which include the European Universities Initiative, Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe programs. The following research methods were used to achieve this goal: case studies, statistical analysis and analysis of sources such as policy documents, normative acts, university rankings, available scientific literature and Internet sources. The subjects of the study are "European universities" – members of alliances: Transform4Europe and The 4 EU+ Alliance, subjected to qualitative and quantitative analysis.

As NDT , and the industries it serves, become more globalised, the need for international cooperation increases in priority and ICNDT and its Regions become more important. The individual member NDT Societies have vital roles to play and acting collectively have considerably more influence than if they act individually.
ICNDT i jej Oddziały tworzą unikalną sieć wielostronnej współpracy między Towarzystwami Badań Nieniszczących (BN), oddaną rozwojowi nauki i praktyki NDT dla dobra światowej społeczności. Wraz z tym jak badania nieniszczące i przemysł, który im służy, stają się bardziej globalne, znaczenie międzynarodowej współpracy wzrasta, a ICNDT i jej Oddziały stają się ważniejsze. Poszczególne narodowe Towarzystwa Badań Nieniszczących odgrywają istotną rolę i działając wspólnie mają znacząco większy wpływ, niż gdyby działały indywidualnie.

Artykuł dotyczy problematyki kształtowania współpracy i działań integracyjnych o różnym stopniu złożoności między wieloma podmiotami. Przedmiotem przeprowadzonych badań była współpraca gmin i powiatów, będących sygnatariuszami Porozumienia Sudeckiego (łącznie 107 jednostek samorządu terytorialnego – JST). Celem artykułu jest analiza sieci współpracy na obszarze Porozumienia Sudeckiego z punktu widzenia rozwoju tego obszaru rozumianego jako „terytorium”. W postępowaniu badawczym zastosowano metodę opisową. Przeprowadzono przegląd dokumentów oraz wykorzystano wyniki badania ankietowego JST Porozumienia Sudeckiego, instytucji otoczenia biznesu, organizacji pożytku publicznego, a także szkół wyższych, przeprowadzonego na potrzeby przygotowania Strategii Rozwoju Sudety 2030. Analizowane dokumenty lub ich projekty dotyczą nowej perspektywy finansowej Unii Europejskiej dla lat 2021-2027, natomiast badanie ankietowe zostało przeprowadzone w pierwszej połowie 2018 r. Autorki zwracają szczególną uwagę na integrację i współpracę w ramach Porozumienia Sudeckiego, które charakteryzują się wielopodmiotowością i wielopłaszczyznowością oraz na dalszą potrzebę ich rozszerzenia w celu rozwoju terytorium.
The article presents issue of shaping cooperation and integrative activities with a different level of complexity among many entities. The object of the study was the cooperation among municipalities and counties which are signatories of Sudety Partnership (107 entities of local governments in total). The aim of the research is to analyze networking in Sudety Partnership’s area in terms of development as a “territory”. Study procedure used a descriptive method. The documentary research was done and the results of survey which was conducted as a part of Sudeten Development Strategy 2030 on entities of local governments of Sudety Partnership, business environment institutions, public service organizations, and academic institutions were used. The analyzed documents or theirs projects regards to the new European Union Financial Framework 2021- 2027, although the survey was conducted in the first part of 2018. The authors pay particular attention to the integration and cooperation as a part of Sudety Partnership which are characterized as multi-level and multifaceted, as well as to further need of their extending in the aim of territorial development.

W czasach popularności regionalizmu postliberalnego wśród państw latynoamerykańskich promuje on otwarty regionalizm ponad podziałami ideologicznymi, nadając nową dynamikę regionalnej współpracy gospodarczej, oraz wpisuje się w globalny trend zwrotu ku intensywnie rozwijającemu się obszarowi Azji i Pacyfiku. W artykule Sojusz Pacyfiku ukazano na tle dynamicznych procesów integracyjnych w Ameryce Łacińskiej, uwzględniając zarówno jego specyfikę, potencjał, jak i perspektywy rozwoju.(abstrakt oryginalny)
The Pacific Alliance is one of the youngest integration groupings in Latin America. At a time of high popularity of postliberal regionalism among Latin American countries, it promotes open regionalism above ideological divisions, providing new dynamism to regional economic cooperation, and it fits well within the global trend of a turn to the intensively developing area of Asia and the Pacific. The aim of this article is to present the Pacific Alliance against the background of the dynamic integration processes in Latin America, including both its special characteristics and its complementarity with the existing regional organisations.(original abstract)
