Opis:
An averaging tank with variable filling is a nonlinear multidimensional system and can thus be considered a complex control system. General control objectives of such object include ensuring stability, zero steady-state error, and achieving simultaneously shortest possible settling time and minimal overshoot. The main purpose of this research work was the modeling and synthesis of three control systems for an averaging tank. In order to achieve the intended purpose, in the first step, a mathematical model of the control system was derived. The model was adapted to the form required to design two out of three planned control systems by linearization and reduction of its dimensions, resulting in two system variants. A multivariable proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control system for the averaging tank was developed using optimization for tuning PID controllers. State feedback and output feedback with an integral action control system for the considered control system was designed using a linear-quadratic regulator (LQR) and optimization of weights. A fuzzy control system was designed using the Mamdani inference system. The developed control systems were tested using theMATLAB environment. Finally, the simulation results for each control algorithm (and their variants) were compared and their performance was assessed, as well as the effects of optimization in the case of PID and integral control (IC) systems.

The paper presents the concept of a new approach for remote control and monitoring of parameters of mobile or stationary machines in real time on the example of the hydrostatic transmission drive test stand. The proposed system control and monitoring is the mobile system which is closely related with the three applications written in a different programming languages, such as: java (Android) – mobile application runs on the tablet, C language – server application joins xPC Target with tablet, PHP – admin panel to manage mobile control platform. Controlling of the hydrostatic drive stand is implemented using an application installed on the tablet. This application is connected with computer’s real-time (xPC Target) module, generated in Matlab. The computer with xPC Target is equipped with a measuring-control card, to which the control signals are transmitted. This hardware-software component plays the connecting role between machine and operator of the mobile platform installed on the tablet. The application allows observe important parameters such as pressure, volumetric flow rate, temperature, velocity, torque in real-time, as well as, it enable, by use of special graphic slider on the tablet’s screen, to set control parameters such as: speed of electric motor, the opening and switching positions of the directional valve, as well as, setting the load by pressure relief valve. Based on this system research related to the verification of system operation were performed for different setting of the hydrostatic transmission drive speed controller, and selected results are presented in the paper.

The directions and speed of development of plane avionics systems are determined by three factors: economical consideration, required safety levels, and optimized working conditions for the pilot. This article presents the concept of a system in which the automatic control and stabilization process is effected because of coordinated deflections of trimming surfaces: the rudder, the elevator, and the ailerons. In particular, this article presents the structure of the system in the longitudinal movement steering channel by way of deflection of the trimmer of the elevator. Furthermore, it discusses the results of numerical model simulations, which are compared to the results obtained during in-flight tests. Additionally, this article specifies general technical requirements for the servomechanisms intended for the system class discussed herein. Selection of sufficiently large amplification makes control the plane with relatively small deflections of the trimmer. In particular, relationship between the deflection of the elevator and the deflection of trimmer, view of a tail plane and dimensions of the elevator trimmer, the structure and results of the pitch angle control system and simulation are presented in the article.

In the article a PC-based numerical machine control system is presented, communicating over EtherCAT bus with servodrives and auxiliary I/O devices. LinuxRTAI real-time operating system was implemented on the PC controller along with the LinuxCNC control software. EtherCAT software communication module was developed and integrated with LinuxCNC. The software module implements CANOpen (CIA301) application layer standard along with device profiles for servodrives (CIA402) and I/O devices (CIA401). This allows for fast bidirectional communication between the PC controller and servodrives or I/O devices. The CNC control system developed by the authors has simple construction and is very flexible. It can be easily adapted to machines of different configuration.

Podane w artykule przykłady systemów sterowania przemawiają jednoznacznie za wykorzystaniem inteligentnych systemów sterowania, a ich różnorodność pozwala na dopasowanie do indywidualnych wymagań określonych obiektów.
Intelligent lighting control system is an analog or digital lighting control system, which adjusts the level of electric lighting according to a changing rhythm of daylight reaching the workplace. Energy efficiency possibility to adjust electrical equipment to curent needs, considerable flexibility, provision of poper lighting without an active action of the user, increased safety and adjustment to the user's neds are basic assets of those systms. The examples of lighting control systems presentd in this article show advantages of their use and their wide variety wchich allows to select a system customized to individual requirements of given area.

In this paper, a new concept of the control system for guided bombs is described. Authors propose a gasodynamic method for the air bomb control. In the presented method, the bomb control is realised by a set of single-use impulse control engines. The gasodynamic controlled bomb dynamic and aerodynamic models are described. Some results of numerical simulations are presented as well.
W publikacji autorzy przedstawili nowatorski system naprowadzania sterowanych bomb lotniczych. W prezentowanej metodzie układ wykonawczy sterowania oparty jest na zestawie jednorazowych impulsowych silników korekcyjnych oddziałujących bezpośrednio na środek ciężkości sterowanego obiektu. W artykule autorzy zaprezentowali modele dynamiki oraz aerodynamiki bomby sterowanej gazodynamicznie. Oprócz opisu modelu zawarto również wyniki obliczeń aerodynamicznych. Przedstawiono opis systemu sterowania oraz wyniki przeprowadzonych badań symulacyjnych.

The problem of the steerage and the control is very important part of the engineer's knowledge. Testing allowed to compare the parameters of the control algorithms P, PI and PID for the quality of steerage of a mobile robot tracking the edge of a groundwork. Additionally the analysis allowed the estimation of the influence of each parts on waveforms errors and on making conclusions and reference them to the literature.

Subject and purpose of work: The subject of the study are the elements of the Ukrainian financial control system. A combination of those elements enables formulating a concept which is directed at financial control of communes. The purpose of the study is identifying main directions of modernization of the Ukrainian financial control system over self-government units. Materials and methods: This study provides an analysis of government data and commercial statistics based on official studies, evaluation reports, program documents, website data, open research papers and promotional materials. The main elements and European experience that, in the author's opinion, are necessary for the construction of an effective finance control system of communes have been used in the construction of the concept of financial control over communes. Results: The key elements of the system of financial control over local self-government units of Poland are revealed. The improvement of financial control over communes in Ukraine and a number of organizational, economic and legal steps to optimize financial control at the local level are proposed. Conclusions: The article presents the main principles, measures and steps functioning in Polish financial control,which constitutes the basis for the formulation of a model of local finance control in Ukraine

W artykule przedstawiono realizację projektu małego przegubowego robota dydaktycznego o pięciu stopniach swobody. Opisano elementy części konstrukcji mechanicznej oraz układ sterowania zrealizowany na bazie środowiska LabVIEW i platformy Arduino. Poza sterowaniem oraz prostym programowaniem ruchów manipulatora za pomocą stworzonego interfejsu graficznego wykonano system pomiarowy. Umożliwia on rejestrację oraz wizualizację podstawowych parametrów serwonapędów robota. Opracowany układ pozwala na przystępne zaprezentowanie budowy i działania robota manipulacyjnego w toku realizacji zajęć dydaktycznych na kierunku automatyka i robotyka.
The article presents a project of the small articulated, educational robot with five degrees of freedom. There were described elements of the mechanical part of the structure and the control system based on LabVIEW and the Arduino platform. Apart of steerage and simple programming of manipulators movements, a measuring system was created using the created graphical interface. It allows you to register and visualize the basic parameters of the robot servo drives. The system consists of two basic components: the subsystem of current acquisition and servo voltages, the data processing subsystem. The developed system allows for an easy presentation of the construction and operation of the manipulator in the course of teaching in the field of automation and robotics.

W artykule opisano metodę działania systemu generującego sygnał zadany rotacji elementu roboczego wirtualnego modelu robota FANUC AM100iB. System wchodzi w skład wirtualnego układu sterowania wirtualnym robotem. Generowane przez system sygnały rotacji wokół trzech osi układu współrzędnych x, y oraz z zawierają informacje o parametrach kinematycznych, z jakimi powinien być realizowany obrót elementu roboczego robota. System zapewnia pełną synchronizację wszystkich obrotów podczas zmiany orientacji. Dodatkowo system zsynchronizowany jest także z interpolatorem liniowym, dzięki czemu zaprogramowany proces technologiczny realizowany jest płynnie.
In the paper signal set of rotations system of virtual FANUC AM100iB robot is presented. System is a part of total virtual control system of virtual robot. Signals around three coordinates axis x, y and z generated by this system includes information about kinematic parameters which are required to be obtain during robots movement. System provides full synchronized movement for all rotations around three axis when changing orientation. Additionally it is synchronized to linear interpolator and thanks to this fact programmed technological process is realized very smoothly.

The architecture of the six legged robot is described in this paper. Robot kinematics for single leg and for the multi-legged platform is presented. For the control of the robot equipped with a number of sensors a three-layer control system has been designed. It consists of a host computer (in the first, teleoperation layer), of a single master microprocessor on the robot board (second layer) and of six microprocessors each of them for one leg (third layer). The communication between the first and the second layer is performed in duplex mode through the RS232 link via the Bluetooth channel, and between the second and the third control layer through the SPI bus. The robot sensing system consists of rotary potentiometers in each joint, of the leg as well as of a dual-axis accelerometer and gyroscope for platform orientation control. On board camera for remote vision is available.

Opis:
The aircraft conventional control systems including pilot-operators in loop are called as active endogenous systems, because the pilots react actively to real situations evaluated by them and their solutions origin from their minds, from the nervous system. The pilots must make decisions in situations characterised by lack of information, human robust behaviour and their individual capabilities. So, decisions born from reactions of pilot are an effect of subjective analysis. This paper investigates the aircraft landing. The subjective factor is the ratio of required and available time to decision on the go around. The decision depends on the available information and psycho-physiological condition of operator pilots and can be determined with the use of theory of statistical hypotheses. This paper introduces a modified Lorenz attractor for the modelling of the endogenous dynamics of the given active system.
Konwencjonalne układy sterowania samolotem, włączając w to rolę pilotów, nazywane są aktywnymi układami endogennymi z racji znaczenia bieżącej oceny sytuacji i reakcji pilotów wynikających z ich świadomości i cech układu nerwowego. Piloci muszą podejmować decyzje w warunkach braku pełnej informacji o parametrach lotu, posiadając przy tym swoiste cechy reaktywnych zachowań i własny zestaw wytrenowanych nawyków. W ten sposób analiza właściwości monitorowania samolotu staje się badaniem układu zawierającego zmienne subiektywne. W pracy zbadano problem podejścia do lądowania. Za czynnik subiektywny wzięto stosunek czasu wymaganego do faktycznie posiadanego przed podjęciem decyzji o możliwej rezygnacji z lądowania. Decyzja ta zależy od ilości zgromadzonych informacji w danej chwili oraz kondycji psycho-fizjologicznej pilotów i została opisana za pomocą hipotez statystycznych. Do zamodelowania dynamiki rozważanego endogennego układu sterowania samolotem użyto zmodyfikowanego atraktora Lorentza.

The use of new energy generation technologies such as solar energy and electric propulsion technologies to form integrated power propulsion technology for ships has become one of the most concerned green technologies on ships. Based on the introduction of the principles and usage patterns of solar photovoltaic systems, the application characteristics of solar photovoltaic systems and their components in ships are analyzed. The important characteristics of the marine power grid based on solar photovoltaic systems are explored and summarized, providing a basis for future system design and application. Photovoltaic solar cells are made using semiconductor effects that convert solar radiation directly into electrical energy. Several such battery devices are packaged into photovoltaic solar cell modules, and several components are combined into a certain power photovoltaic array according to actual needs, and are matched with devices such as energy storage, measurement, and control to form a photovoltaic power generation system. This article refers to the basic principle and composition of the land-use solar photovoltaic system, and analyzes the difference between the operational mode and the land use of the large-scale ocean-going ship solar photovoltaic system. Specific analysis of large-scale ocean-going ship solar photovoltaic system complete set of technical route, for the construction of marine solar photovoltaic system to provide design ideas.

The rapid development of distributed control systems has caused the necessity of knowledge and understanding of communication network in a process of a dynamic system modelling and controller synthesis. A lot of work has been done to determine the suitability of dedicated networks for data transmission in control systems. This paper is an approach in the problem of control of a remote system over the Internet. The work is an attempt to model and simulate a transmission network characteristics, taking into account the delay introduced by the network. Additionally, the experiment was conducted on a real network to determine the applicability of the Internet in distributed control systems.
Gwałtowny rozwój rozproszonych systemów sterowania spowodował, że w procesie modelowania systemów dynamicznych oraz syntezy regulatorów konieczna okazuje się wiedza i zrozumienie działania sieci przesyłu danych. Wiele badań zostało poświęconych określeniu przydatności dedykowanych sieci umożliwiających przesył danych w układach sterowania. Niniejsza praca stanowi próbę przybliżenia problemu sterowania odległymi systemami poprzez Internet. Praca zawiera próbę zamodelowania właściwości sieci transmisyjnej i przeprowadzenia symulacji z uwzględnieniem opóźnienia wprowadzonego przez sieć. Ponadto został przeprowadzony eksperyment na rzeczywistej sieci, mający na celu określenie przydatności sieci Internet w systemach sterowania rozproszonego.

Opis:
A ball balancing on a beam is a perfect platform for demonstration various control strategies. The task is to place ball rolling freely, in a reference position along the beam driven by a motor, rejecting disturbances. The research system consists of mechanical platform with stepper motor and two infrared ball position sensors, power supply and electronic controller based on a 32-bit microcontroller connected to Matlab/Simulink software running the main control algorithm. Designed in Simulink input and output subsystem blocks contain all functions required to provide data exchange with microprocessor controller of the mechanical system. Developed data exchange protocol and its implementation both in microcontroller software and Simulink subsystems allow to use this complete system for educational purposes: the controller designer is free to develop supervisory control layer, not going into details of system operation. The results of system operation with P, PD and LQR control laws are shown at the end of this paper.

Authors present a development of the temperature control system in the spray booth equipped with the two - state burner. The paper presents results of temperature control for different conditions of the external air temperature. A typical two-state algorithm isn’t enough effective to minimise temperature fluctuation amplitudes inside a spray booth. Minimisation of the number of burner ignitions with acceptable fluctuation amplitudes of the temperature is possible by means of : modification of the measurement loop, modifications of the two-state algorithm. Minimisation of number of burner ignitions will increase durability of the burner and decrease consumption fuel used to start the burner. In the final part of the article selected results of real time experiments were presented and shortly analysed.

Authors present a real time supervisory system for two cooperating spray booths, which are elements of the production line. The supervisory system enables a constant observation of such physical parameters like: temperature, pressure, air flow, concentration of styrene etc. The system also warns workers inside spray booths about dangerous events like a critical level of styrene, too low overpressure, the air flow is not high enough, etc. The paper presents results of the hardware and software development.

The wheel-legged robot is a vehicle with many degrees of freedom. Thanks to its peculiar design, depending on the need, the vehicle will use one of its ways of moving: travelling on wheels or walking (in special situations), which enhances its locomotive properties. The paper presents the robot’s kinematic wheel suspension system, general operation strategy and control system. The application responsible for robot control and data visualization is described. Finally, selected tests of the algorithms, carried out on the robot prototype, are presented.

This paper presents an unconventional view on power electronic converters control as an important factor in environmental protection. Two distinct features that are provided by the control system, namely harmonics elimination and Fault Ride-Through are addressed herein. The paper provides the discussion on how well designed and robust power converter control can influence the environment in a positive way. One of the shortcomings of power converters is emission of current harmonics which results in supply voltage distortion. The appropriate control minimizes the harmonics content which leads to energy losses reduction, especially in power transformers cores. Fault ride-through is an ability of power converter to remain connected and operating in a grid where the fault occurred. It is of paramount importance for integration of large power renewable energy sources. Shutting down e.g. large wind farm would result in engaging the conventional power plants to fill in the energy production gap.

In the present time, landing energy dissipation process in aviation shock absorber design is optimized for the most demanding, but still safe, landing scenario (reserve energy landing conditions). Most of the current solutions are based on a fixed hole (orifice) or a set of holes regulating hydraulic fluid flow in the shock absorber. This approach although safe provides no optimization of the forces acting on the fuselage in different (less energetic than limit energy) conditions. Due to the progress in hydraulic flow control, it is possible to design and control a proper system for extended optimization of the landing process energy dissipation. The complete system contains two parts, one of which is a direct flow executive electro-mechanical system and second of which is an electronic control system. The electronic control system directly manages executive system via a set of inputs, thus creating proper output signals for the optimal flow control. In this article, the author presents the idea of the computer control part of the adaptive hydraulic flow control system. The author describes a set of possible control input and output signals both external and internal, from the landing gear reference system, characterizing their role in the landing process. The author also defines possible control algorithms selected to fit the assumptions of the adaptive landing gear system. Finally, the author presents a proposal for the laboratory grade control system for future testing of the assumptions described in this article.

In some cases the classical performance indexes are not adequate for the performance evaluation of the concentration control systems. Therefore, the specific performance index is proposed in this paper. This index depends on the product of the product flow rate and some function of the deviation of the product concentration from the set point. In order to minimize this performance index the special control system is proposed. This special control system used to the forced circulation evaporator is studied using simulation techniques. The simulation results show that the system described in this paper produces the performance index less than classical control system.

Analizowano problemy sterowania momentem i prędkością kątową silnika indukcyjnego z uwzględnieniem metod: skalarnej, bezpośredniego sterowania momentem i strumieniem (DTC) oraz polowo-zorientowanej (FOC). Analiza ta ma na celu porównanie wymienionych metod sterowania silnikiem pod kątem jego zastosowania do napędu hydraulicznej stacji zasilającej z pompą o stałej wydajności. W układach regulacji zastosowano klasyczne regulatory typu PI. Badania laboratoryjne przeprowadzono dla napędu z silnikiem o mocy 2,2kW.
Controlling the torque or the force of a hydraulic system requires applying a pressure control valve. However, velocity control of a hydraulic actuator requires equipping the system with a throttle valve or a variable displacement pump (volumetric control system). Change of fluid flow can be achieved by change of geometric pump volume or its rotational speed. There are unique correlations (nearly proportional) between the torque and the pressure or between the flow and the pump angular velocity (electric motor). These relations can be used for the appropriate control of the electric motor torque or angular velocity. In the paper there is analysed the control of the angular velocity and torque of an induction motor by the following methods: scalar, Direct Torque Control (DTC) and Field-Oriented Control (FOC). Comparison of the mentioned control methods included use of this motor as a drive of the hydraulic station pump with constant working capacity. The conventional PI type controller was used in the control systems. For parametrical identification of the drive system mathematical model and selection of controller parameters, the Box's numerical static optimisation method was used. The tests were carried out for the drive with a 2,2 kW motor.

This paper presents an analysis of various natural and man-made disasters being angled as possibilities of usage of remote control or autonomous machines and vehicles. The certain requirements which such machines and vehicles have to meet to remove effects of natural disasters and local military conflicts or terrorist attacks are described. Proposal for remote-controlled vehicle assigned for operations in conditions hazardous to human live is presented. The value of unmanned vehicles is directly related to the applications to which it can be successfully applied. This paper will highlight applications, missions, and capabilities that have been demonstrated on the "Lewiatan " platform to date as well as future application and mission considerations. This platform – assigned for both water and land operations - is equipped with remote control, surroundings observation and visualization systems. In this paper the advantages of hydrostatic power systems as the power transmission units for unmanned vehicles have been also presented. Resolving problems with navigation of vehicles will allow expansion of it 's applications from a military point of view in the upcoming few years, to a wide range of applications in times of crisis with direct human life threat.

Nowadays, civil UAV industry market grows rapidly. This expansion is followed by the new requirements and expectations against UAVs, which force their constructors to look for less typical solutions. Expected long time endurance and range are the typical examples of such expectations. Clients are often looking for UAV with VTOL ability and time of flight much greater than 30 minutes and long range. They want to inspect large areas, i.e. between major cities without need of paying for building and maintaining developed aircraft infrastructure. Example of UAV with low infrastructure requirements are multirotors. Major disadvantage of them is short flight time. Elongating time of flight is hard to achieve by classical multirotor with standard Li-Pol batteries available on the market. They have too low energy density in currently used technology. Alternative power solutions, like fuel cells, have low financially rewarding factor, which cause whole projects to be unprofitable. Foregoing circumstances force engineers to find less usual ways for improvement energy efficiency, which will cause extending the time and range of flight. One of them is a tiltrotor. Tiltrotors are hybrid solutions – they combine airplane and multirotor capabilities to achieve features, which exclude each other in classical constructions. Aircraft-like wing make it able to use its lift-to-drag ratio to achieve energy savings, higher top speed and extended range in comparison with multirotors. UAV is also equipped with multiple multirotor-style engines with additional capability to rotate itself in pitch. In horizontal engine position, vehicle behaves like classical multirotor – allowing pilot to hover and perform VTOL manoeuvres. When engines are tilted to vertical position, whole UAV get performance similar to airplane – high speed and flight endurance. In the other hand, practical implementation of tiltrotor solution can be problematic: simulation, steering and controlling such aircraft in transition state are complex tasks. Moreover, designed aircraft should follow major rule connected with multirotors: Should have as simple, robust mechanical design as it can. Proposed article will concentrate on concept and preliminary design of fly-by-wire steering system with unique properties for tiltrotor. One of such properties will be unification of steering method – which eliminates need for switch and setting initial conditions for control subsystems, when flight procedure requires changing flight mode. Second important improvement will be possibility to use transitional states as intermediate state between propeller driven fly and gliding – which allow achieving wide spectrum of flight speeds. Moreover, huge number degrees of freedom (at least 9) create new opportunities for steering optimization. Extensive thrust vectoring abilities of such UAV could not only implicate substantial efficiency improvement of multirotors, but also improve its manoeuvrability. The article will focus on basic concepts of kinematics, steering of such UAV and show proposition of energyusage oriented optimization for its control trajectories. To let mechanical design be simple, all control and steering methods will be implemented in software, which will implicate complex structure of steering system. Overcoming complexity of software should be profitable in relation to expected improvements of UAV capabilities.

The paper deals with the control design of semi-active seat suspension systems. A semi-active vibration control strategy basing on the inverse dynamics of a spring or damper element and a primary controller is studied. The optimisation procedure proposed in the paper makes it possible to calculate controller settings and these, in turn, to define vibroisolation properties of semi-active suspension systems.
W pracy przedstawiono sposób projektowania systemu sterowania semi-aktywnym układem zawieszenia siedziska. Analizowano algorytm sterowania semi-aktywnego, który bazuje na modelu odwrotnym elementu sprężystego lub tłumiącego oraz na kontrolerze głównym. Procedura optymalizacji zaproponowana w pracy dodatkowo wspomaga dobór nastaw regulatora, ktore to nastawy definiują właściwości wibroizolacyjne semi-aktywnego układu zawieszenia.

The article defines the coefficient of the unit energy consumption of water pumping in pump group. Correct pump operation in pump group are described during cascade control, at variable rotational speeds and in the highest range of efficiency. A method of determining the unit energy consumption of water pumping for these control systems are defined at any daily demand and known pump H(Q) and efficiency curves are plotted at nominal rotational speed.

Deposition of the metallic multilayers is a part of the scientific program on the chemical reaction leading to intermetallic compound formation. This reaction is known as self propagation high temperature synthesis (SHS). The key problem in this investigation is to produce the metallic multilayer system with good repeatability of thin films thicknesses. Thin should be thin, parallel and with low volume of intermixing region between components. Computer control system for the pulsed (mid frequency MF) magnetron sputtering equipment dedicated for metallic multilayers deposition is presented in this paper. The rotation velocity of the sample holder and the gas inlet through membrane valves are the main parameters controlled by the system. Parameters of the magnetron gun power supply, sample temperature and technological gas pressure are registered. The process cards which define all process parameters are collected for each dedicated process type. All cards are collected in a process cards library which permits for full automatization of all operations. Software was written in a graphical LabVIEW environment.

At present, the methods based on using linearized dynamical equations are applied for syn- thesis of an attitude control system of a satellite with nonlinear dynamics. Linearized equa- tions describe the satellite dynamics approximately, which is the main their disadvantage. This article shows that basing on the angular momentum theorem, the nonlinear dynamical equations of the satellite attitude control system can be represented in the form of linear differential equations with variable coefficients, which makes it possible to use engineering methods of stability analysis and analysis of transient quality in the process of synthesis of the satellite attitude control system.

This paper presents an approach to the construction and measurements of electrodynamic and reluctance actuators. Executive elements were used as drives in a novel concept of a magnetomotive micropump. The paper discusses various aspects concerning the designation of parameters, control system, the explanation of physical phenomena, and the optimization of the basic elements for coil units. The conducted work describes the measurement system and the analysis of the derived values. The actuators were compared and the pros/cons of building the conceptual device were highlighted. The best solution to be used in the upcoming work concerning the construction of a magnetomotive micropump was chosen based on measurements, engineering aspects, layout control, and key parameters such as the piston velocity, energy stored in capacitors, and efficiencies.

The paper discusses problems connected with the parameters selection of the proportional-integral observer, designed for reconstruction of magnetic fluxes and angular speed of an induction motor. The selection is performed in several stages that are focused on different criteria. The first stage consists in selecting observer’s gains and provides desired dynamical properties, taking into consideration immunity to disturbances and parameter variations of observed system. The second stage prevents an observer from DC-offset cumulation and instability. The last stage consists in setting the parameters of a speed adaptation mechanism. The impact of different settings on the properties of an observer is illustrated with experimental results, obtained in the multiscalar control system of an induction motor.

The paper deals with the inverse simulation problem of aircraft general motion. The aircraft is constrained to follow a specified 3D trajectory (two program constraints), and two other demands, are imposed on airframe attitude with respect to the trajectory and on flying speed. The guidelines for effective modelling of aircraft prescribed trajectory flight are discussed, and a method for computing time histories of state variables and program control (that ensures the programmed motion realization) is developed. Some results of numerical simulations are reported.
Praca dotyczy zagadnienia symulacji odwrotnej ruchu samolotu. Żąda się, by samolot wykonywał lot po zadanej trajektorii przestrzennej (dwa więzy programowe) a dodatkowymi wymaganiami są narzucone zmiany konfiguracji płatowca względem trajektorii oraz prędkości lotu. Dyskutuje się sposób modelowania tak określonego ruchu programowego oraz przedstawia metodę wyznaczania przebiegów w czasie zmiennych stanu tego ruchu oraz wymaganego sterowania samolotem. Zamieszcza się wyniki symulacji numerycznych.

The paper reports the design and tests of the planar autopilot navigation system in the three-degree-of-freedom (3-DOF) plane (surge, sway and yaw) for a ship. The aim of the tests was to check the improved maneuverability of the ship in open waters using the improved nonlinear control algorithm, developed based on the sliding mode control theory for the ship-trajectory tracking problem of under-actuated ships with static constraints, actuator saturation, and parametric uncertainties. With the integration of the simple increment feedback control law, the dynamic control strategy was developed to fulfill the under-actuated tracking and stabilization objectives. In addition, the LOS (line of sight) guidance system was applied to control the motion path, whereas the sliding mode controller was used to emulate the rudder angle and propeller rotational speed control. Firstly, simulation tests were performed to verify the validity of the basic model and the tracking control algorithm. Subsequently, full scale maneuverability tests were done with a novel container ship, equipped with trajectory tracking control and sliding mode controller algorithm, to check the dynamic stability performance of the ship. The results of the theoretical and numerical simulation on a training ship verify the invariability and excellent robustness of the proposed controller, which: effectively eliminates system chattering, solves the problem of lateral drift of the ship, and maintains the following of the trajectory while simultaneously achieving global stability and robustness.

The purpose of this paper is to present a novel mechatronic system for gait re-education which consists of a body weight support system (BWS system) and a treadmill. This publication covers mainly issues related to the design and optimization process of a control algorithm dedicated for the unloading system. The proposed control system is based on a fuzzy logic controller coupled with a PID regulator. The optimization of parameters for regulators has been conducted based on numerical simulations in which a hybrid optimization method combining a genetic algorithm with a gradient algorithm has been used. The developed control system has been tested experimentally.

This paper presents research on building a synchrotron ontology using analysis of a synchrotron control system and the aspects of collaborative ontology engineering. It includes a general description of the studied domain and the method used to develop a synchrotron domain ontology. The ontology is being created on the basis of a Solaris synchrotron control system in cooperation with the synchrotron facilities belonging to the Tango community. The first Polish synchrotron radiation facility Solaris is located at Jagiellonian University’s Third Campus in Krakow, Poland. Synchrotron is an unique source of electromagnetic radiation known as synchrotron radiation. This paper discusses the impact of the Solaris control system on the building of a synchrotron ontology. It also includes the main assumptions relating to the collaborative knowledge acquired for this domain. The synchrotron ontology will support the optimization of existing control systems and the development of a new synchrotron control system based on Tango controls or other technologies in a consistent manner. Using the same general assumptions and terms, this could be later used for integration and data sharing purposes. The synchrotron ontology can facilitate interoperation by the integration of information from different sources from one or many synchrotron control systems and integrate different parts of the controls systems that provide analogical or similar services. It can also be used to support the translation between different representations, especially regarding particular devices. Knowledge sharing and reuse is a big challenge in complex, distributed systems where the knowledge required is very specialized for different sets of functionalities or subsystems. Regarding synchrotron systems, many specialists must provide their support so the IT specialists are able to develop and maintain a control system. In this case, the synchrotron ontology can be a guideline for knowledge sharing and reuse.

The paper discusses the problem of stability of a proportional-integral Luenberger observer, designated for the state variables reconstruction of a linear, time-invariant dynamical system. It is proven, that there exists such a class of observed systems, for which the observer is always unstable, independently of its gains. Stability can be provided in every possible case after application of proposed modifications to the structure of the observer. It is proven, that stability of the modified observer depends only on its gains. It is shown, that an induction motor is the exemplary observed system, for which application of the unmodified observer is impossible due to its lack of stability, while the modified observer provides proper operation of the control system. Finally, some experimental results are presented, obtained in the multiscalar control system of the induction motor, equipped with the modified proportional-integral observer.

Opis:
The subject of thin seam exploitation is a complex problem; in reality, it involves several problems such as technical, ergonomic, and economic barriers. They refer mainly to combined longwalls – where a human presence is required at the site; the most important problem is the issue of the limited workspace in longwall roadways. This generates engineering and organizational problems, especially during the launching and removal of the longwall roadways. Having considered the above-mentioned, the Department of Mining, Dressing, and Transport Machines at AGH in Krakow has begun research whose main objective is to develop and test a new structure for a powered support for thin seams. In this paper, virtual models of the new hydraulic roof support and a conception of the structure of a control system were presented as well as the test results of the new construction hydraulic roof support. Research in this field was conducted for the project entitled “Studies of the Development of an Innovative Hydraulic Roof Support for Low Seams”. The project is funded by the National Center of Research and Development (NCBiR).

The article presents concepts of control of the manipulator with two degrees of freedom, which uses a water hydraulic power unit to drive the actuators. The proposed control system is based on the use of electromagnetically controlled “rosettes valve” and proportional flow control valve. The control system is implemented using a computer equipped with a module for the real-time operating system (XPC Target) working in connection with the environment Matlab/Simulink. Controlled variable of the drive system is the displacement of the individual hydraulic cylinder and after determining manipulator kinematics, any point of the object in operating space. The positioning error of individual manipulator elements will be determined during the test in terms of different control algorithms, using the PID controller and PWM signal. In addition, it analyses the impact of changes in the velocity of the piston rod for the boom mechanism and the arm mechanism. An important aspect of the presented hydrostatic drive system is the use of water as a medium that physical and chemical properties are different from commonly used hydraulic oil, and which is friendly to the environment and meet the high cleanliness requirements for the fluid used to transfer the hydrostatic energy. Therefore, the control system requires a different approach, tied with synchronous control valves ON/OFF and proportional control flow regulators to achieve high accuracy.

The article presents the method of controlling the position of the hydraulic cylinder using hydraulic valves on/off with an appropriate strategy for digital control. Main elements of the hydraulic system under consideration include a group of electromagnetic hydraulic valves and hydraulic cylinder single acting. The control system was implemented in the environment of the real-time system based on MATLAB/Simulink. The digital control strategy is based on a fast enough on and off switching valves causing corresponding motion of the cylinder to the required position. This article presents the advantages and disadvantages of this type of control about the system with the proportional control system. The accuracy of this kind of control depends on the structure, properties of the valves or their static and dynamic characteristics. The results of analysis of the control system have the possibility of controlling the positioning hydraulic cylinder with a rather high accuracy, which can be used in place of proportional control systems. The use of digital control system allows, under certain conditions to obtain cost savings related to a reduction in energy consumption, to get a much better adaptation to variable control systems. This concept is an interesting alternative for the conventional control system and provides opportunities for application in systems, where conventional control is very expensive e.g. water hydraulics or to the clear systems where the use of hydraulic proportional technique is not necessarily, but depends on the user to the possibility of obtaining good quality control at a relatively low cost.

Electric energy systems need constant modernization and updating to solve such problems as distributed management, self-sealing, improving the quality of electricity, demand management, and integration of renewable energy systems. Currently, energy systems need advanced and intelligent technologies to perform various system-level tasks. The purpose of this research is to analyze the existing control systems of electric energy systems, as well as to consider the possibility of using multi-agent systems to control electric energy systems. To achieve the aim of the research, the following scientific approaches were implemented: method of direct research, experimental method, questioning, comparative method, analysis method, and method of observation. The primary value of the research is in the novelty of the work and the fact, that functional components in multi-agent systems act as independent agents, which can interact with each other through a message communication system. This provides a simple connection between the components, which can benefit complex systems designed for an intelligent network. The intelligent network provides an efficient energy management system, and the modernization of the existing power system using a multi-agent system provides solutions to many problems. The best implementation of a multi-agent system can be achieved through the employment of fast and protected communication protocols. The authors of the research have conducted research and presented key statistical data on electricity usage in Kazakhstan over the past few years. The practical significance of the research is determined by the applied results, and their scientific significance, which is conditioned upon the use of deep, modern mathematical results and the development of an optimal control system. This research is a part of a universal model and optimal system of emergency quick response, conducting a quick preliminary prognosis as well as ensuring more lasting planning in electricity consumption.
