The author of this article analyses the way in which dance and the dancer function within the prose works of Milan Kundera. Preceded by an introduction which analyses the figure of homo saltans from a cultural perspective, this review of the topic of dance (understood phenomenologically) presents four literary aspects in which it reveals itself. These perspectives are not conflicting, but neither are they complementary. The first relates to ritual rites of dancing in a circle, and their (crooked) reflection can be seen in the socio-political experience of the 20th century. The second presents dance as a narrative element, which asks questions about its own nature, and therefore has an autotelic and universalising character. The third aspect presents a metaphorical understanding of dance movement, while the fourth relates to philosophies of the dance and the dancer, as proposed by one of the protagonists in Slowness, leading this persona away from aesthetics towards the experience of public life. According to the author of this article, dance is used by Kundera to discover more interesting layers of the human condition, but much here depends on the reader.

Kazimierz Świegocki’s Blues o Wielkim Ptaku from point of view of hermeneutic reading In this article I presented a general assumption of hermeneutics as a theory of literature and a research attitude. I used its various elements in my interpretation of the poem Blues o Wielkim Ptaku of the modern Polish poet, Kazimierz Świegocki. I put the general hypothesis of interpretation and then I verified it by examining the specific elements of the text. I discussed the role of the title and date of creation, the way of speaker’s creation and the lyrical hero, the importance of symbolism and shape of the world presented. I described this poem as referring to issues of cosmogony, ontology, metaphysics and hermeneutics as explaining the order of the universe.

Artykuł jest próbą rozwikłania zagadki, która pojawia się w wierszu Dałem słowo Zbigniewa Herberta, pochodzącym z pożegnalnego tomu poety (Epilog burzy, 1998). Autorka proponuje interpretację opierającą się na założeniu, że wiersz zawiera refleksję autobiograficzną, a tytułowe „słowo” stanowi metonimię poetyckiej twórczości i odnosi się do aktywności literackiej poety sprzed roku 1956. Pokazuje, że za pomocą ambiwalentnej dialektyki ciężaru – lekkości oraz gry językowej Herbert szyfruje doświadczenie, a ponadto wpisuje wspomnienie z przeszłości w koło wiecznych powrotów, potwierdzając trwałość dylematów etycznych, dochodzących do głosu w wierszach z tomu Hermes, pies i gwiazda (1957).
The article is an attempt at unravelling the mystery hidden in Zbigniew Herbert’s poem Dałem słowo [I Gave My Word], a work from the farewell volume of the poet (Epilog burzy [Epilogue of the Storm], 1998). The author proposes an interpretation based on the assumption that the poem is an autobiographical reflection and the title “word” stands metonymically for the poetic creativity and refers to the literary activity of the poet from before 1956. It shows that by means of an ambivalent dialectic of the weight – lightness and wordplay, Herbert encodes the experience and places memories of the past in the circle of eternal returns, thus confirming the permanence of ethical dilemmas that come to the fore in the poems from the volume Hermes, pies i gwiazda [Hermes, Dog and Star] (1957).

The article presents the last years of the life of Ludomił German (1851–1921), a Galician teacher and school inspector, playwright, translator and politician. He was an activist of the Democratic-National Party and Polish Democratic Party, membor of the Austrian parliament in Vienna (1907–1918) and the National Parliament in Lviv (1912–1914), vice-president of the Chamber of Deputies and vice-president of the Polish Circle. During the World War I, he kept a diary in which he described his activities in the Supreme National Commitee (established on August 16th, 1914), the Polish Circle and the parliament, as well as the history of the Polish Legions, the struggle for their leadership and the efforts undertaken by the leaders of Galicia and the Kingdom of Poland to unificate the Polish lands and create a more or less independent Polish state. As a supporter of the trialist option (replacing the dualistic Austro-Hungarian Monarchy with the trialistic Austro-Hungary-Poland, created as a result of the joining of the Russian Kingdom of Poland to Galicia), he saw the place of Poles at the side of the Habsburgs almost until the end of the war. He spent the end of his life in Lviv, where he also died. His diary, divided into two parts, is kept in the collections of manuscripts of the Jagiellonian Library in Cracow, Poland (number 8537 I, „Notes from great times”, original) and in the Vasyl Stefanyk National Scientific Library of Ukraine in Lviv (Fond 5, number 6415, vol. I–III, „Memoirs of 1916–1918, copy).
Artykuł przedstawia ostatnie lata życia Ludomiła Germana (1851–1920), galicyjskiego nauczyciela i inspektora szkolnego, dramatopisarza, tłumacza i polityka, działacza Stronnictwa Demokratyczno-Narodowego i Polskiego Stronnictwa Demokratycznego, posła do Rady Państwa w Wiedniu (1907–1918) i Sejmu Krajowego we Lwowie (1912–1914), wiceprezydenta Izby Posłów i wiceprezesa Koła Polskiego. Po wybuchu I wojny światowej zaczął prowadzić dziennik, w którym opisywał swoją działalność w powstałym 16 VIII 1914 r. Naczelnym Komitecie Narodowym, w Kole Polskim i Radzie Państwa, a także historię Legionów Polskich i walkę o ich kierownictwo oraz podejmowane przez liderów Galicji i Królestwa Polskiego dążenia, mające na celu zjednoczenie ziem polskich i utworzenie z nich mniej lub bardziej niepodlełego państwa. Jako zwolennik opcji trialistycznej (zastąpienia dualistycznej monarchii austro-węgierskiej trialistyczną Austro-Węgry- -Polską, powstałą w wyniku przyłączenia Królestwa Polskiego do Galicji) niemal do końca wojny widział miejsce Polaków u boku Habsburgów. Schyłek życia spędził we Lwowie, gdzie też zmarł. Dziennik Germana, podzielony obecnie na dwie części, jest przechowywany w zbiorze rękopisów Biblioteki Jagiellońskiej w Krakowie (sygn. 8537 I, „Notatki z wielkich czasów”, oryginał) i w Lwowskiej Narodowej Naukowej Bibliotece Ukrainy im. W. Stefanyka (Fond 5, sygn. 6415, t. 1–3, „Pamiętniki z lat 1916–1918”, kopia).

The article offers an analysis and interpretation of the poem Zaklęte miasto [Enchanted city] from the volume Ballady i pieśni [Ballads and songs] by the Young Poland poet Edward Leszczyński. The poem is first analysed based on the oneiric convention. For this purpose the author refers to the philosophy of Arthur Schopenhauer and explains the symbolism of the wheel, which indicates the sense of entrapment in the world, a situation with no way out. The dreaming-wandering from Leszczyński’s poem, the gaining and losing of faith, is then examined in the context of August Strindberg’s A Dream Play. The two works, ostensibly so different, address with a similar kind of poetic “dreaming.” In both cases, the life in question is inauthentic, asleep, affected by a curse, kept under a spell. The last stanza of the poem indicates the Dionysian tradition, and therefore makes it necessary to refer to the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche and his idea of eternal return. The examination lead to the conclusion that Leszczyński’s work refers to the dual meaning of circularity, or rather two attitudes towards life. In the first case Schopenhauerian determinism is revealed, according to which life is a monotonous, enchaining, ominous dream. In the second case we are dealing with the worship life of Nietzschean provenance – one may, therefore, conclude that a curse can be a blessing and being asleep can be being awake, if we accept the eternal return.

Technological development implies a lot of new ways to commit crimes in cyberspace. Stealing virtual objects (such as magical swords or shoes) is one of them. It is unique because virtual theft combines one of the oldest types of criminal activity with the achievements of modern technology. This article deals with those situations when the actions taken by players stop being protected by the ‘magic circle’ and become criminal. It will also explore how the Polish Penal Law deals with these matters. It shall also discuss a comparable U.S. based case, involving fraud committed by the player called Cally in "Eve Online", three cases from Poland and finally, It will deal with stipulated solutions.

One of the forms of late-medieval popular polyphony in Central Europe was the circular canon, which in fifteenth-century theoretical treatises was termeda rotulum. A composition entitled 'Epulemur in azimis’ (fol. 210r) exhibits all the notational peculiarities of a rotulum, but was not interpreted as such because of many ambiguities in the writing of the melodic material. These ambiguities make it almost impossible to correctly coordinate the voices according to the rules of counterpoint. The possibility of a canon occurring in this piece was first hypothesised by Paweł Gancarczyk, who drew my attention to this source and provided crucial materials. The edition included in this article represents an attempt to reconstruct 'Epulemur in azimis’ in the form of a circular canon.
Jedną z form popularnej polifonii, charakterystycznej dla okresu późnego średniowiecza w regionie Europy Środkowej, jest kanon kołowy, w piętnastowiecznych traktatach teoretycznych występujący pod nazwą rotulum. Kanon ten zapisywany był zazwyczaj w formie pojedynczej linii melodycznej, podzielonej, w zależności od liczby głosów, na trzy lub cztery równej długości odcinki za pomocą symboli (signa congruentiae), wyznaczających zarazem wejścia kolejnych głosów. Powtarzanie materiału muzycznego „w nieskończoność” sugeruje notacja początku melodii wraz z incipitem tekstowym na końcu utworu. Powyższe cechy odnaleźć można w notacji kompozycji Epulemur in azimis z rękopisu przechowywanego obecnie w Bibliotece Miejskiej w Trewirze pod sygnaturą 322/1994, wykazującego wiele związków z regionem Europy Środkowej. Przy odczytaniu signa congruentiae jako symboli oznaczających wejścia kolejnych głosów okazuje się, że liczne niejednoznaczności w zapisie materiału muzycznego uniemożliwiają skoordynowanie głosów zgodnie z zasadami kontrapunktu. Dlatego też we wcześniejszych edycjach (autorstwa Rudolfa Ewerharta i Christopha Burmestera) utwór transkrybowano w postaci jednogłosowej. Hipotezę o możliwości wystąpienia kanonu w tym utworze po raz pierwszy wysunął Paweł Gancarczyk. Niniejszy artykuł stanowi próbę rekonstrukcji ewentualnej polifonicznej formy Epulemur in azimis. Jej przeprowadzenie wiązało się z przyjęciem konkretnych założeń dotyczących menzuracji oraz wprowadzeniem wielu innych modyfikacji (takich jak przedłużenie niektórych wartości rytmicznych, czy powtórzenie słów). Kluczowym dla niniejszej propozycji okazało się odniesienie do innego rotulum, zachowanego w rękopisie PL-GD 2153a – Ex trinitatis culmine.

The concept of creating the SEP Circle at the Electronics Faculty was established in autumn 1968. The founders of the Circle foundation were prof. Jan Hołownia and prof. Zygmunt Szparkowski. Formally, the Circle was appointed the Wrocław management of SEP branch on March 31 1969 and was given the number 52. It was historically the second Circle established at the Wrocław University of Technology. In the first years of its activity, the circle included both researchers and teaching staff as well as students. At the peak of its activity, the Circle had about 70 members. At present, the circle includes research and teaching staff in the number of 23 people. The article discusses the activity forms of the Circle members in the scientific field including cooperation with industry, implementation of scientific grants, obtaining patents and utility models. The second field of the Circle activity members is didactics in the field of electricity and magnetism, electronic systems, electromagnetic compatibility, and the use of laser and ultraso und in science, technology and medicine.
Koncepcja utworzenia Koła SEP przy Wydziale Elektroniki powstała jesienią 1968 roku. Pomysłodawcami utworzenia Koła byli prof. Jan Hołownia i prof. Zygmunt Szparkowski. Formalnie Koło zostało powołane przez Zarząd Wrocławski Oddziału SEP w dniu 31 marca 1969 roku i nadano mu numer 52. Było to historycznie drugie Koło powstałe na Politechnice Wrocławskiej. W pierwszych latach działalności do Koła należeli zarówno pracownicy naukowo-dydaktyczni jak i studenci. W szczytowym okresie działalności Koło liczyło około 70 członków. Obecnie członkami Koła są pracownicy naukowo-dydaktyczni w liczbie 23 osób. W artykule omówiono formy aktywności członków Koła na polu naukowym obejmującym współpracę z przemysłem, realizacje grantów naukowych, uzyskiwanie patentów i wzorów użytkowych. Drugie pole aktywności członków Koła to dydaktyka w zakresie elektryczności i magnetyzmu, układów elektronicznych, kompatybilności elektromagnetycznej, zastosowań techniki laserowej i ultradźwiękowej w nauce, technice i medycynie.

Opis:
A great circle route (GCR) is the shortest route on a spherical earth model. Do we have a visual diagram to handle the shortest route? In this paper, a graphical method (GM) is proposed to solve the GCR problems based on the celestial meridian diagram (CMD) in celestial navigation. Unlike developed algebraic methods, the GM is a geometric method. Appling computer software to graph, the GM does not use any equations but is as accurate as using algebraic methods. In addition, the GM, which emphasizes the rotational surface, can depict a GCR and judge its benefit.

Opis:
A systematic approach, based on multiple products of the vector algebra (S-VA), is proposed to derive the spherical triangle formulae for solving the great circle track (GCT) problems. Because the mathematical properties of the geometry and algebra are both embedded in the S-VA approach, derivations of the spherical triangle formulae become more understandable and more straightforward as compared with those approaches which use the complex linear combination of a vector basis. In addition, the S-VA approach can handle all given initial conditions for solving the GCT problems simpler, clearer and avoid redundant formulae existing in the conventional approaches. With the technique of transforming the Earth coordinates system of latitudes and longitudes into the Cartesian one and adopting the relative longitude concept, the concise governing equations of the S-VA approach can be easily and directly derived. Owing to the advantage of the S-VA approach, it makes the practical navigator quickly adjust to solve the GCT problems. Based on the S-VA approach, a program namely GCTPro_VA is developed for friendly use of the navigator. Several validation examples are provided to show the S-VA approach is simple and versatile to solve the GCT problems.

A Transаesthetic Interpretation of Pamięć nareszcie / Memory at Last by Wisława SzymborskaThis essay attempts to combine several elements relevant for such interpretative practices as hermeneutics, textual explication, speech acts theory, C. G. Jung’s analytical psychology, as well inspirations taken from ritual studies, archetypal literary criticism, and transcendental hermeneutics. This combination of interpretational practices shall be applied to the reading and analysis of Wisława Szymborska’s poem Pamięć nareszcie / Memory at Last. My chief aim is to analyse the ritual dimension of the poem (without disregarding, however, the work’s stylistic features). Wiersz Pamięć nareszcie Wisławy Szymborskiej. Interpretacja transestetycznaNiniejszy esej jest próbą połączenia kilku elementów pełniących ważną rolę w takich praktykach interpretacyjnych jak hermeneutyka, eksplikacja tekstu, teoria aktów mowy, psychologia analityczna C. G. Junga, a także inspiracji płynących z badań nad rytuałem i archetypami, wreszcie z hermeneutyki transcendentnej. Połączenie wymienionych praktyk interpretacji będzie służyło lekturze i analizie wiersza Wisławy Szymborskiej Pamięć nareszcie. Moim głównym celem jest analiza rytualnego wymiaru wiersza (choć także jego cech stylistycznych).

Artykuł prezentuje różne postacie aksjomatu regularności (FA) oraz jego konsekwencje w systemie Zermelo-Fraenkla (ZFC). W pracy zasygnalizowane są pewne zastrzeżenia wobec FA oraz fakt, że nie jest on nieodzowny. Aksjomat ufundowania zachowuje swój apodyktyczny charakter tylko na gruncie teorii zbiorów regularnych – w innych przypadkach może nie być spełniony przez wszystkie zbiory. Jedna z najbardziej popularnych wersji FA nie może być traktowana jako miernik regularności zbiorów – nie oddaje ona bowiem w pełni ducha idei ufundowania
The paper presents different formulations of regularity axiom (FA) and its consequences in Zermelo-Fraenkel’s system (ZFC). Some objections to the axiom are emphasized and its indispensability is examined. It is also proved that FA in one of its formulations cannot be treated like a measure of sets regularity, because it doesn't meet the requirements that it was intended to meet.

Analiza bibliometryczna publikacji członków Koła Naukowego Bibliotekoznawców przy Instytucie Bibliotekoznawstwa i Informacji Naukowej Uniwersytetu Śląskiego w Katowicach (2007–2016) Abstrakt: W artykule zanalizowano publikacje członków Koła Naukowego Bibliotekoznawców działającego przy Instytucie Bibliotekoznawstwa i Informacji Naukowej Uniwersytetu Śląskiego w Katowicach, opublikowane w latach 2007–20161. W analizie zwrócono uwagę na liczbę ogłoszonych przez studentów tekstów wydanych w poszczególnych latach, ujawniając tendencje wzrostowe i spadkowe. Wyszczególniono typy publikacji naukowych członków Koła (elektroniczne i tradycyjne; redakcja książek, autorstwo rozdziałów w książkach oraz artykułów w czasopismach i przestrzeni internetowej). Zbadano zjawisko autorstwa i wieloautorstwa występującego w analizowanych materiałach. Ponadto dokonano podziału tematyki tekstów według Uniwersalnej Klasyfikacji Dziesiętnej.
The article analyses the publications of the members of the Student’s Circle of Library Scientists which operates at the Institute of Library Science and Scholarly Information of the University of Silesia in Katowice, published in the years 2007–20166. The analysis indicates the number of texts which were published by students in the particular years, manifesting upward and downward trends. One enumerated the types of the scholarly publications of the members of the Circle (electronic and traditional ones; editorship of books, authorship of chapters in books and articles in periodicals and on the internet). One examined the phenomenon of the authorship and the multi-authorship which is manifested in the materials which were analysed. One also presented a division of the subject matter of the texts according to the Universal Decimal Classification.

Opis:
W artykule przeprowadzono analizę właściwości układu regulacji rozmytej dla dwurotorowego systemu aerodynamicznego jako obiektu wielowymiarowego i nieliniowego z opóźnieniem. Przedstawiono syntezę regulatora rozmytego o strukturze Takagi-Sugeno. Omówiono zagadnienie badania stabilności i jakości regulacji. Do badania stabilności wykorzystano kryterium kołowe, a do oceny jakości regulacji przyjęto kryterium błędu średniokwadratowego. Przeprowadzono badania symulacyjne testowe zaprojektowanego układu obejmujące wpływ opóźnienia i parametrów regulatora na stabilność i jakość regulacji. Wyznaczono zależność kryterium jakości regulacji od współczynnika korekcyjnego.
The paper deals with an analysis of the properties of fuzzy control system for two-rotors aerodynamic system as a multidimensional nonlinear plant with delay. The paper presents a synthesis of the fuzzy controller with Takagi-Sugeno structure. The issue of stability studies and the performance was discussed. To study the stability criterion used loaders, and to assess the quality of regulations adopted mean square error criterion. Set quality criteria regulating the relationship of the correction factor. The quality criteria regulating the relationship of the correction factor were set.
