The Author of article provides an important information about parent catechesis from Catholic perspective. He reminds the basis of parent catechesis, beginning with the historical importance and explanations contained in the Church Documents: “Parents are the primary educators in the faith. Together with them, especially in certain cultures, all members of the family play an active part in the education of the younger members’ (General Directory for Catechesis255). If parents are the most important persons of the education of children in the faith, they need to be well prepared for fulfilling their mission that includes especially treating catechesis as lifelong process, the learning of Christian doctrine andmethods of family catechesis, permanent formation of mothers and fathers into the fullness of Christian life. The conclusion presents main challenges and advocates an intensification of catechetical activity in our times.

Radio is a very powerful mass communication medium. In radio broadcasting, one can hear the echo of Christ’s words to his apostles in the missionary discourse: “You received without charge, give without charge…What you hear in whispers, proclaim from the house tops” (Mt 10,8b.27). Although the Church uses radio as a means to transmit the Good News of salvation, and we as human beings receive radio transmissions as a part of our daily life, we barely stop to think and reflect upon the underlying aspects of radio as a means of communication. In this paper, the Author endeavours to give a historical overview of what makes radio an important medium for evangelisation according to four key documents of the Church, while also studying the underlying theological positions found in these documents. These documents enable us to study radio as a broadcasting medium, highlighting the possible reactions of the Church to radio and how the Church changed its stance on radio over the years. The reason for focussing specifically on radio is for two particular reasons: from the very beginning, the Church has considered radio as a means for evangelising the masses. Notwithstanding this, what is going to be discussing in the paper can be equally applied to Television as a mass communication medium. Secondly, the Church took an active role in radio broadcasting by asking Guglielmo Marconi himself to construct the Vatican Radio in 1931. The documents of the Church also offer us a theology of radio as a mass communication medium, with unity, progress and evangelisation being the fundamental aspects. Church documents posit that not everything should be broadcasted over radio but only messages which bring about peace and unity.

In the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church, the space of the temple is identified with the holy place, the sacred. Issues related to architecture, including religious architecture, although not the most important in church doctrine, nevertheless find their place in it. The subject of religious architecture appears primarily in connection with the function that the building is to fulfill for the community of believers – a gathering place for the celebration of the liturgy. The sacred building should meet liturgical requirements, and also help to build community and an atmosphere of concentration, with the shape of the space so that it stands out from many other buildings that have different social purposes. He thus becomes “God’s home”. The sacrum of the church space is also emphasized by the extensive symbolism, referring both to its whole and individual parts. Throughout the history of the Church, the topic of religious architecture has appeared in many of its documents, both universal and local. The most important of them will be cited in the text, showing the complexity and importance of the issue of religious architecture in the doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church.

W niniejszym artykule zostały przedstawione okoliczności, w których zakonnik może tymczasowo przebywać poza wspólnotą zakonną, pomimo spoczywającego na nim obowiązku mieszkania w domu zakonnym. W pierwszym punkcie ukazano, w jaki sposób kwestia ta była rozwiązywana w regułach zakonnych w pierwszych wiekach. W drugim punkcie przedstawiono dokumenty kościelne od Soboru Watykańskiego II do 1983 r., w których poruszany był ten temat. W ostatnim punkcie wskazano na rozstrzygnięcia, które w tej kwestii zawiera Kodeks Prawa Kanonicznego z 1983 r. Przeprowadzone analizy wykazały, że w pewnych sytuacjach prawo dopuszcza, aby zakonnik otrzymał zgodę na przebywanie poza domem zakonnym, pomimo spoczywającego na nim obowiązku przebywania we wspólnocie. Jest to wyraz roztropności prawodawcy kościelnego, dla którego najważniejszym celem jest dobro dusz.
This article sets out the circumstances, in which religious may temporarily stay outside the religious community, despite his duty to live in a religious house. The first point shows, how this issue was resolved in the religious rules in the first centuries of the Church. The second section presents the church documents from Vatican Council II to the 1983, in which this topic was moved. The last point indicates the provisions, which in this issue contains the 1983 Code of Canon Law. The conducted analyzes showed that in certain circumstances the law allows to religious to receive a permission to reside outside the religious house, despite his duty to staying in the community. It is a sign of legislator of the Church’s wisdom, for which the most important objective of a law is spiritual profit of souls.

This paper is a reflection on the theological and pastoral implications of the communication of faith through the media. Its starting point is not based on the dichotomous categorisation of the media as either very beneficial, or very negative for the communication of faith; thus avoiding an either/or attitude which is very limiting. The hypothesis explored is that the language of faith is only communicated through the language of a medium and that such a translation, not to say incarnation, has to take into consideration the technological, organisational and cultural dimensions of the legacy or traditional media as well as their very important role in contemporary culture. The cultural and theological reflection will then be followed by the proposal of elements of a pastoral strategy that best respects the characteristics of faith and media as well as those of the audiences towards which both faith and media are directed.

Opis:
Benedict XVI underscores the unchanging validity of the Old Testament. In the exhortation Verbum Domini this is manifested by quotations of texts from the Hebrew Bible or the Septuagint in the context of problems discussed in connection with the theology of any of the New Testament writings. Moreover, the Pope shows Jesus himself as a new perspective of what is foretold by the text of the First Covenant and that is why the Old Testament becomes a lasting point of reference for the conduct of contemporary believers. It is also a unique and uniform source of revelation of the word for the Church. The Pope’s exegesis of the texts is decidedly more theological than literal so it is worthwhile to undertake the analysis of particular quotations in a broader perspective of biblical theology and the entire teaching of the Church. The exhortation sincerely recommends such a task.

The article is an attempt to show the most important questions concerningthe use of catechism in contemporary catechesis. Special attention isfocused on the necessity of catechism in religious education, but the authoralso describes the difficulties related to the teaching of this catechism. Thistheme is first analyzed in the light of history and catechetical documents.The first part of the reflection is a historical review of catechism containedin catechesis. In the second part the author analyzes the most important documents for catechesis and searches in them contents about the problemof catechism in catechesis: the General Catechetical Directory of 1971, theApostolic Exhortation Catechesi tradendae of 1979, the General Directoryfor Catechesis of 1997 and the Directory for Catechesis of the CatholicChurch in Poland of 2001. In the third part one finds the analyses of themost important problems concerning the use of catechism in the practiceof catechesis. The following challenges of the new evangelization are pointedout: a crisis of the faith and a problem concerning the knowledge ofChristian doctrine, tension between the knowledge of faith and the attitudeof faith, and refusal to memorize the catechism formulas.

Opis:
Roadside crosses and shrines are a characteristic element of the Polish landscape. Small sacred objects are intertwined with history and the cultural context of Polish countryside and cities, arising from the need of faith, and have manifested piety for generations. Many crosses and shrines were erected as mementos of important national events, uprisings, war skirmishes, independence spurts that took place in the 19th and in the first half of the 20th centuries, commemorating national anniversaries, for instance 1918, anniversaries of Christianization of Poland, jubilees of historic events. They were also built upon old mass graves of victims of bygone epidemics. In the context of historic events, objects of small sacral architecture were met with harassment and repressions. Therefore, after regaining independence legal initiatives were undertaken by the state and the Church to save these objects. Unfortunately, not always did this type of object receive sufficient legal protection or proper appraisal. In documents they are present in the background. That is why ethnographic studies are often the only way to save their memory, and preserve the image of old crosses, statues, and shrines.
Kapliczki i krzyże przydrożne są charakterystycznym elementem polskiego krajobrazu. Małe obiekty sakralne wpisane są w historię i kulturowy kontekst polskich wsi i miast, wyrastają z potrzeby wiary i od pokoleń są widzialnym znakiem pobożności ludzi. Wiele krzyży i kapliczek wzniesiono na pamiątkę ważnych narodowych wydarzeń, powstań, potyczek wojennych, zrywów niepodległościowych, jakie miały miejsce w XIX wieku i w pierwszej połowie XX wieku z okazji rocznic narodowych, jak rok 1918, rocznice chrztu Polski, jubileusze wydarzeń historycznych. Stawiano je również na starych zbiorowych mogiłach ofiar dawnych epidemii. W kontekście wydarzeń historycznych obiekty małej architektury sakralnej spotykały się z szykanami i represjami, dlatego po odzyskaniu niepodległości podejmowano inicjatywy prawne ze strony państwa polskiego oraz Kościoła, aby te obiekty ocalić. Niestety takie obiekty nie zawsze otrzymywały dostateczną ochronę prawną i nie zyskiwały właściwej oceny. W dokumentach wymieniane są niejako drugoplanowo. Dlatego badania etnograficzne to nierzadko jedyny sposób na ocalenie pamięci i utrwalenie wizerunku dawnych krzyży, figur i kapliczek.

Archive material of church provenance is stored, among others, in Polish state archives. Large collection of visitations are in state archives in Lublin, Przemyśl and the Central Archives of Historical Records in Warsaw. A large collection of Uniate visitations (Greek Catholic) stored in the State Archive of Lublin is in the fonds of Greek Catholic Consistory of Chełm (1596-1875). The fond includes directives of Uniate Bishops of Chełm on how to conduct visitations, general visitation of the diocese, visitations of deaneries and individual Uniate churches from the Diocese of Chełm (1715-1815, 1869-1870), Włodzimierz (1725-1727, 1757, 1774-1801), [Polish] Połock (1789-1790) and the Deanery of Bóbrka in the Diocese of Lviv from 1764. Historical Archive of the Orthodox and later Greek Catholic Bishopric of Przemyśl from the years 1291-1946 (the fond of the Archive of Greek Catholic Bishopric of Przemyśl) is in the State Archive in Przemyśl. There are visitations of 49 deaneries (1738-1939) and individual Uniate churches (1753-1912) from the Uniate Diocese of Przemyśl. In addition, the State Archive in Przemyśl (the fond of the Seniority of Central Galicia in Brygidau) includes visitation protocols of churches and evangelical schools from the years 1903-1910. Visitations of Roman Catholic churches and monasteries are also stored in the Central Archives of Historical Records (in the fonds of the Central Religious Authorities of Kingdom of Poland). This archive also includes the visitations of the Collegiate of Łęczyca (1810-1811), the monastery of Canons Regular in Warsaw (1767–1816), the general visitation of the Archdiocese of Warsaw (1859-1860) and visitations of the Augustian monasteries in Ciechanów, Kraków, Krasnystaw, Książ Wielki, Lublin, Orchówek, Rawa, Warsaw and Wieluń (1841-1863); and in the fond of the Orthodox Consistory of Warsaw there is a fragment of the visitation of the Orthodox Eparchy of Warsaw from 1908.

The article first presents the basic archival terminology, in particular “fond” and briefly explains characteristic features of chancery practices such as a self-contained document, a book of inscriptions, case files. The Church always paid a great attention to collecting and storing official documents created in connection with the implementation of evangelization and salvatory mission in the world. The collection of these documents grew bigger and larger as the literary culture became more common and the habit of documenting every activity in writing spread, which on a large scale occurred only in the Middle Ages. This is how the church archives were created, initially as repositories of documents. Archives in the modern sense, that is, academic institutions which collect documents relevant to understanding and study of the past appeared in the Polish land only at the end of the 18th century. Most of the Polish dioceses organized their archives in the interwar period and monasteries only after the Second World War. The Centre (Institute since 2006) for the Church Archives Libraries and Museums (established in 1956) together with the coorganizer of the Centre, the Rev. prof. dr hab. Stanisław Librowski, played an important role in the development of church archives in Poland.

El Concilio Vaticano II en la Constitución Lumen gentium muestra el misterio de la Iglesia en relación con la Santísima Trinidad. En la perspectiva como el fruto del amor, que une al Padre con el Hijo en el seno de la Trinidad: justamente con la fuerza de este amor el Padre quiso unir a toda la creación en su Hijo. Mysterium Ecclesiae surge por lo tanto de Mysterium Trinitatis. Además en el Decreto sobre la actividad misionera de la Iglesia se define que: “La Iglesia es misionera por su naturaleza, puesto que toma su origen de la misión del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo, según el designio de Dios Padre” (AG 2). Con esta afirmación el Concilio ha definido en su esencia la dimensión misionera de la Iglesia, y ha reafirmado que la predicación del Evangelio a todos los hombres es la principal tarea de la Iglesia – la salvación.
The Second Vatican Council in the Constitution Lumen gentium shows the mystery of the Church in relation to the Holy Trinity. In the perspective as the fruit of love which unites the Father with the Son within the Trinity: just on the strength of this love the Father wanted to unite all creation in his Son. Mysterium Ecclesiae arises therefore Mysterium Trinitatis by. Also in the Decree on the Missionary Activity of the Church defined it: ”The Church is missionary by nature since its origin in the mission of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, according to the plan of God the Father” (AG 2). With this statement the Council has identified in its essence the missionary dimension of the Church, and it reaffirmed that the preaching of the Gospel to all men is the main task of the Church – salvation.
