The study aimed to evaluate the spatiotemporal variation in the physico-chemical and bacteriological quality of Oued Inaouène water in relation to urban discharges that remain the main sources of pollution in the Inaouene basin. During the period from May 2019 to March 2020, seven stations were sampled, six of which are spread along the Inaouène Oued in addition to one reference station that is less affected by urban pollution. The indicators used were: temperature, pH, electrical conductivity (EC), turbidity and dissolved oxygen (OD), biological oxygen demand (BOD5), chemical oxygen demand (COD), Kjeldahl nitrogen (TKN), E coli, IE and TC. The quality data obtained were analysed using multivariate statistical methods (the CPA) and the correlation matrix. The results showed that with the exception of the OT station located upstream of urban discharges, the majority of stations downstream of urban discharges have poor quality during both wet and dry seasons, according to the Moroccan standards.

The article presents research conducted in real sea conditions on the reliability of information presented by the ship's AIS and ARPA about the passing distance with the other vessel tracked by radar equipment and fitted with AIS.

This paper aims at evaluating the collision risk between the encountering vessels under time- -variant CPA situations and then assessing the maritime traffic characteristics. Radar and AIS data are collected from Mokpo VTS in Korea. All crossing vessels that are navigating within CPA 1 miles of Mokpo-Gu waterway are analyzed. The maritime traffic characteristics is analyzed by surveying the distribution of CPA as a function of TCPA. To make it clear, the traffic operating rate in the Mokpo waterway is also computed. The averages of CPA and TCPA were observed until the encountered vessels pass safety each other after they come in a certain ship domain. As a consequence, the distribution of CPA as a function of TCPA gives a useful information to evaluate the maritime traffic safety.
Celem artykułu jest ocena ryzyka kolizji statków w funkcji zmiany wartości czasu do kolizji, a na tej podstawie oszacowanie charakterystyk determinujących ruch morski. Dane z radarów oraz systemu AIS zostały zarejestrowane w systemie VTS Mokpo w Korei. Przeanalizowano wszystkie przypadki przecinania się tras statków na podejściu do Mokpo-Gu w przypadku, gdy odległość minimalna (CPA) była mniejsza niż jedna mila morska. Charakterystyka ruchu morskiego opisana została poprzez wyznaczenie rozkładu wartości największego zbliżenia statków jako funkcji czasu do nadmiernego zbliżenia (TCPA). Dla pełnej jasności obliczono również współczynnik przepustowości drogi wodnej Mokpo. Opisano średnie wartości odległości największego zbliżenia oraz czasu do wystąpienia CPA bez względu na przekroczenia granic domeny obserwowanych statków. W konsekwencji wyznaczono rozkład wartości CPA jako funkcję TCPA, co okazuje się użyteczne dla oceny bezpieczeństwa ruchu morskiego.

In this work, new experimental value for water content in sour natural gas were reported. In addition, to predict the water content in sour natural gas, a modified cubic plus association equation of state (CPA-EoS) was also proposed. In this model, a new energy parameter a was proposed to make an accurate description of saturated liquid density. Additionally, a temperature dependent binary interaction parameter kij for six binary systems was also obtained. Lastly, a comparison between the prediction results of the modified CPA-EoS and the experimental data was presented, and the results showed that the modifi ed CPA-EoS could predict the water content in sour natural gas with high accuracy, which has an AAD of 3.6722% with experimental data in literatures and an AAD of 1.946% for experimental data reported in this work.

The predicted object CPA (Closest Point of Approach) distance DCPA and, to a lesser extent, the time interval to its occurrence TCPA are well established criteria for collision threat. They are approach parameters widely used as well in collision avoidance systems featuring computer - aided tracking (ARPAs) as in manual radar plots. The scope of this paper is aimed at the problem which although it can be and it is connected with collision avoidance manoeuvres, but it is rather reversed and can be applied for intentional approaches or in naval tactical manoeuvres - what own speed and/or course manoeuvre should be undertaken to achieve the required CPA distance and/or time?

Recent advances in surgical technology have encouraged many surgeons to explore new ways of helping patients, potentially increasing the risk to the patient's neurological system. A complication of surgery, especially neurosurgery, is the development of a post-operative neurological deficit. The original purpose for the use of various neurophysiological monitoring procedures was to reduce the incidence of neurological deficit, regardless of its origin. VIASYS Healthcare (Nicolet Biomedical) has created Nicolet Viking IV that fulfils all criteria of a good intra-operative monitoring instrument. Viking IV can perform routine and computer-aided Electromyography, Evoked Potentials Studies, Nerve Conduction Studies and Intra-Operative Monitoring. Nicolet Viking IV is also very useful in other branches of medicine like: neurology, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, neonatology and many more. Today we use intra-operating monitoring for several additional purposes, including improving overall surgical outcomes, monitoring the efficacy of intervention strategies and monitoring neurological structures that are at risk due to secondary/perisurgical variables. Intra-operative neurophysiologic monitoring (IONM) allows the detection of neurological compromise early enough that permanent deficits may be avoided.

Opis:
Vestibular Schwannomas (VS), benign intracranial tumors originating from the vestibulocochlear nerve, whose symptoms usually are hearing loss, tinnitus, and balance dysfunction. Rarely, however, if untreated, these neoplasms can cause significant patient compromise – resulting in facial paralysis, brainstem compression, and even death. Neurosurgical problems are the neuro-vascular structures often surrounding the tumors. The annual incidence of cystic vestibu-lar schwannomas in literature is 19.4%. A 66-year-old woman came to our clinic with serious hearing loss, balance dysfunction and tinnitus in the left ear. Full imaging diagnostic of the head was performed (TK, MRI and angio-MRI) which showed a cystic vestibular Schwannoma n. VIII (CVS). After 12 years of observation we noticed full neurological symptoms withdrawal and significant reduction of the tumor volume.
Osłoniaki nerwu przedsionkowo-ślimakowego (n. VIII) to grupa łagodnych nowotworów, zwykle wyrastających z przewodu słuchowego wewnętrznego (PSW) i penetrujących wtórnie do okolicy kąta mostowo-móżdżkowego (KMM). Guzy rosną zazwyczaj powoli, jednak ze względu na otaczające je struktury nerwowo-naczyniowe stanowią duży problem operacyjny w neurochirurgii. W piśmiennictwie częstość występowania osłoniaka z torbielą wynosiła 19,4%. Najczęstszymi objawami są: utrata słuchu, szumy w uszach i zawroty głowy. Kobieta 66-letnia kobieta zgłosiła się z objawami znacznego niedosłuchu ucha lewego, odczuwaniem pisków i trzasków w uchu lewym, zaburzeniami równo-wagi. U chorej wykonano pełną diagnostykę obrazową w postaci tomografii komputerowej (TK) głowy i rezonansu magnetycznego (RM) głowy. Początko-wo wysunięto podejrzenie zmiany w okolicy lewego KMM o charakterze he-mangioblastomy. Angio-MR głowy nie potwierdziło rozpoznania. Wysunięto podejrzenie osłoniaka n. VIII z torbielą. Pacjentka była poddana 12-letniej obserwacji. W tym czasie doszło do całkowitego wycofania się objawów neurologicznych i znacznej regresji guza.

The ship domain is one of the criteria for navigational safety assessment. It is particularly important in restricted areas with high intensity traffic, where the criteria of closest point of approach (CPA) and time to CPA are difficult to apply. This research continues to examine ship domains in Traffic Separation Schemes (TSS). We have analyzed precautionary areas established within TSSs in connection with changed arrangements of vessel traffic. Besides, we have defined ship domains in a precautionary area of a specific TSS, and compared them to domains of vessels proceeding along traffic lanes.

Opis:
A multi-ship collision avoidance decision-making and path planning formulation is studied in a distributed way. This paper proposes a complete set of solutions for multi-ship collision avoidance in intelligent navigation, by using a top-to-bottom organization to structure the system. The system is designed with two layers: the collision avoidance decision-making and the path planning. Under the general requirements of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGs), the performance of distributed path planning decision-making for anti-collision is analyzed for both give-way and stand-on ships situations, including the emergency actions taken by the stand-on ship in case of the give-way ship’s fault of collision avoidance measures. The Artificial Potential Field method(APF) is used for the path planning in details. The developed APF method combined with the model of ship domain takes the target ships’ speed and course in-to account, so that it can judge the moving characteristics of obstacles more accurately. Simulation results indicate that the system proposed can work effectiveness.

The article presents analysis of the automatic radar plotting aid (ARPA) and automatic identification system (AIS) indications reliability performed on the base of the results of measurements conducted on merchant vessels at sea. In the first part of the article titled “Comparative study of the accuracy of AIS and ARPA indications. Part 1. Accuracy of the CPA indications” are described: vessels on which the tests were carried out, AIS and radar equipment installed on them, observed meeting situations and accuracy of the CPA indication. In this article are discussed, for the same meeting situations, accuracy of the information on true course and true speed of the opposite vessel presented by ARPA and AIS and correlation between this accuracies and errors of the CPA indication.

In this paper approach parameters widely used collision avoidance systems such as the distance at closest point of approach and time to the closest point of approach and less known and used as the distance on course, the distance abeam and any distance and the times intervals to their occurrences are derived, analyzed and graphically interpreted in the combined coordinate system for position and motion. They can be used in collision avoidance systems and for reversed purposes - manoeuvring to required approach parameters, intentional approaches and naval tactical manoeuvres.

It is necessary to develop a useful application to use big data like as AIS for safety and efficiency of ship operation. AIS is very useful system to collect targets information, but this information is not effective use yet. The evaluation method of collision risk is one of the cause disturb. Usually the collision risk of ship is evaluated by the value of the Closest Point of Approach (CPA) which is related to a relative motion. So, it becomes difficult to find out a safety pass in a congested water. Here, Line of Predicted Collision (LOPC) and Obstacle Zone by Target (OZT) for evaluation of collision risk are introduced, these values are related to a true motion and it became visible of dangerous place, so it will make easy to find out a safety pass in a congested water.
