Opis:: In the article the following terms have been revised: competences, communicative compe-tence, intercultural competence. The classification of some new competences required in glottodidactics has been suggested. In the presented model the intercultural competence has been included and its relationship with other competences has been described. The guidelines of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages have been discussed here. Educational application has shown how the new competences should be developed.

W dobie Internetu, social mediów zmienia się podejście pracowników do pracy oraz jej warunków. Z drugiej strony pracodawcy zaczynają stawiać wobec pracowników wymagania, które jeszcze kilka lat temu nie były jeszcze dokładnie definiowane. Artykuł jest próbą odpowiedzi na pytanie jak zmieniły się kompetencje pracownicze w przeciągu ostatnich kilku lat i jak wpłynęły na poziom informatyzacji przedsiębiorstw.
The changing business environment forces the continuous need to adapt. This necessity also applies to employee competencies as a factor supporting the competitiveness and development of enterprises. In the Internet age, social media is changing the attitude of employees to work and its conditions. On the other hand, employers are beginning to put to employees requirements, which a few years ago were not exactly defined. The article is an attempt to answer the question of how to change the powers of labor in the past few years and how affected the level of computerization of enterprises.

Opis:: W niniejszym artykule zestawiono portfel kompetencji biznesowych, w tym kluczowych kompetencji przekrojowych. Podjęto próbę własnego uzasadnienia, że kompetencje te muszą być ciągle doskonalone i rozwijane. Zestawiono przykładowe metody kształtowania tych kompetencji na różnych poziomach kształcenia. Ponadto zestawiono wybrane obszary tematyczne szkoleń biznesowych oferowanych nie tylko przez jednostki kształcenia ustawicznego (szkoły, uczelnie wyższe), ale także przez firmy i instytucje szkoleniowe.
This article presents a portfolio of business competences, including key transversal competences. The author attempts to justify the fact that these competences must be constantly improved and developed. Examples of methods of shaping these competences at different levels of education are presented in the paper. Moreover, selected thematic areas of business training offered not only by lifelong learning units (schools, universities) but also by companies and training institutions have also been summarised in it.

Opis:: Purpose – The aim of the paper is an identification of key managerial competences based on selected typologies described in the literature of the subject and studies reflecting managerial practices in East-Central Europe (Slovakia, Lithuania, Poland). Design/Methodology/Approach – The present study constitutes a review of the Polish and international literature of the subject.Findings – Fifteen key managerial competences were selected on the basis of managerial competences’ typologies outlined in the literature. Practitioners participating in several studies acknowledged the competences to be significant in managers’ work. They were also indicated as crucial in managers’ work by practitioners who had taken part in the described research survey. The most important were: personality traits such as flexibility, interpersonal/social skills, leadership, teamwork, and decision-making. Moreover, apart from the set of competences featured in the literature, evaluated mangers indicated two additional competences: information gathering and change management, which they considered vital. Originality/Value – The paper is a comparison of the international observations with findings of studies encompassing managers from three European states: Lithuania, Slovakia, and Poland.

Opis:: In this article the features characteristic of the notion of competence, as well as the reasons for difficulty in defining the notion of school principal’s leadership competences, and a complex and multi-aspect structure of these competences are discussed. Simultaneously, the need for research over school principal’s leadership competences and over education of those occupying managerial positions at school, including their educational needs in the field of educational leadership and development of their leadership competences is considered. This article is based on the theoretical thesis formulated by Pablo Cardona and Pilar Garcia-Lombardia (2008) concerning leadership competences of managerial staff, as well as development of these competences, and assumption that high competences of educational leaders constitute one of the conditions of running a school successfully, in terms of school principals’ performing their own tasks and supporting teachers’ development and learning. The competence approach to the analysis of school principals’ work and responsibility connected with it makes it possible to demonstrate specific expectations concerning school principals’ education, professional development and work at school.

Opis:: The present paper is the result of a reflection on the professional competences of early childhood teachers. It outlines the considerations on understanding the concept of competences, taking into account their ambiguity and varying semantic scope. The original understanding of specialised artistic competences of the early childhood teachers was presented in conceptual terms and an attempt was made to present the original model of the specialised artistic competences of early childhood teachers in the form of a three-segment structure, created by the distinguished areas of this competence, named by the author as domains of competence, together with their components and basic indicators. The study is addressed to researchers studying this issue and teachers of early school education, it is also supposed to be a voice in the discussion on shaping and development of the specialised artistic competences of early childhood teachers and, according to the author, to encourage reflection in this field.

Opis:: Artykuł prezentuje wyniki globalne z badań z 2016 r. w odniesieniu do wyników badań z lat 2014, 2015 przeprowadzanych wśród uczniów klas trzecich 16 płockich publicznych szkół podstawowych, nadzorowanych przez Wydział Edukacji i Kultury Urzędu Miasta Płocka. Celem badań było dokonanie diagnozy poziomu kompetencji opanowanych przez uczniów kończących trzyletni cykl edukacji na etapie wczesnoszkolnym. Diagnoza przeprowadzona w kolejnych latach dotyczyła kompetencji uczniowskich w czterech obszarach: edukacji polonistycznej, matematycznej, społecznej i przyrodniczej.
The article presents global results of a survey from 2016 year in relation to the results of previous years carried out among third year pupils in 16 Płock’s public primary schools, supervised by the Department of Education and Culture of the City of Płock. The aim of the research was to diagnose the level of competence mastered by the pupils, ending a three-year cycle of education at the early-stage. The diagnosis concerned pupils’ competences in 4 areas of education: Polish language, mathematics, social and natural sciences.

Opis:: Aim. The aim of the research is to provide a scientific justification for the integrated development of general and subject-specific competences of primary school pupils. Methods. The exploratory qualitative case study was conducted in a private school in Lithuania. The integrated activities covered the content of Lithuanian language and science education, as well as general competences such as communication and digital competences. The activity was implemented in grade 4 with 12 pupils (8 boys and 4 girls). A semi-structured interview with the class teacher was also conducted. Results and conclusion. The data from the empirical study were analysed according to the following thematic clusters: interest in the activity, group work, searching for information in the encyclopaedia and in electronic sources, working with a robot when integrating the digital skills and the content of science education, descriptions of animals as a summarising and consolidating activity. The study found that if the educational process is well thought out, if the pupils are interested, they can work independently and support each other in explaining the content, while the teacher becomes an observer, a facilitator, and can concentrate on the pupils’ individual activities during this process. Well-designed tasks with the robot develop not only digital literacy skills, but also the reinforcement of subject content related to the use of concepts. Originality. The case study provides valuable insights into the implementation of an educational process that integrates general and subject-specific competences, and the detailed description of the activities shows which tasks support students’ independent learning.
