Opis:
The aim of this study is to examine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the financial performance of traditional and low-cost airlines. In this context, the financial performance of 32 traditional and 14 low-cost airlines operating in different regions of the world was analysed using the Merec-based Cobra method for the before and during COVID-19 pandemic period (2018–2021). First, the financial ratios of the airlines were weighted using the Merec method, then the financial performance ranking of the airlines was conducted using the Cobra method. According to the results of the Cobra method, Ryanair (FR) was found to have the best financial performance in 2018 and 2020. Meanwhile, Allegiant Travel (G4) led the way in 2019, and Thai Airways (TG) came out on top in 2021. According to the analysis results, low-cost airlines such as Southwest Airlines (WN), Wizz Air (W6), Allegiant Air Travel (G4), and Ryanair (FR) showed better performance than a significant portion of traditional airlines in the period before the COVID- 19 pandemic. In contrast, during the COVID-19 pandemic, low-cost airlines such as Spring Airlines (9C), Air Arabia (G9), Cebu Air (5J), Easyjet (U2), and Jetblue Airways (B6) demonstrated worse performance than a significant portion of traditional airlines.
Celem niniejszego badania jest zbadanie wpływu pandemii COVID-19 na wyniki finansowe tradycyjnych i tanich linii lotniczych. W tym celu wyniki finansowe 32 tradycyjnych i 14 tanich linii lotniczych działających w różnych regionach świata sprzed pandemii COVID-19 i z okresu, gdy ona trwała (2018–2021), zostały przeanalizowane przy użyciu metody Cobra opartej na metodzie Merec. Najpierw wskaźniki finansowe linii lotniczych zważono, wykorzystując metodę Merec, a następnie za pomocą metody Cobra stworzono ranking wyników finansowych linii lotniczych. Zgodnie z wynikami osiągniętymi dzięki metodzie Cobra stwierdzono, że Ryanair (FR) miał najlepsze wyniki finansowe w latach 2018 i 2020. Allegiant Travel (G4) był liderem w 2019 r., a Thai Airways (TG) znalazł się na szczycie w 2021 r. Zgodnie z wynikami analizy wyniki tanich linii lotniczych, takich jak Southwest Airlines (WN), Wizz Air (W6), Allegiant Air Travel (G4) i Ryanair (FR), były lepsze niż znacznej części tradycyjnych linii lotniczych w okresie przed pandemią COVID-19. Z kolei podczas pandemii COVID-19 tanie linie lotnicze, takie jak Spring Airlines (9C), Air Arabia (G9), Cebu Air (5J), Easyjet (U2) i Jetblue Airways (B6), osiągały wyniki gorsze niż znaczna część tradycyjnych linii lotniczych.

This article presents one of the applications of an industrial usage of high pressure water jets to extinguish fires. Such a technical solution was installed on a certain type of fire extinguishing vehicles, allowing full mobility. The article encompasses pictures which graphically illustrate the given topic.
W artykule przedstawiono jedną z aplikacji przemysłowego wykorzystania wysokociśnieniowej strugi cieczy do gaszenia pożarów. Tego typu rozwiązanie techniczne zabudowano na określonym typie pojazdów gaśniczych zapewniając pełną mobilność. W skład artykułu wchodzą zdjęcia, które ilustrują graficznie przedstawione zagadnienie.

The development of new online trends, particularly the Web 2.0, has caused a social engagement growth of internet users and, as a result, further development of social networking channels and other different types of interactive platforms. The internet encourages consumers to interact with web sites, and through them with other users. It also enables them to create content on any subject, as for instance, associated with brands and products. consequently, generating a valuable source of information and research area for organizations. This study aims to identify the involvement of Polish Internet users with consumer's online brand related activities (COBRA). Concerning this issue, the authors investigated a total of 2253 Internet users in an exploratory study revealing the intensity of their participation in 31 activities ranging from low to high engagement. It turned out that polish consumers are more willing to engage into activities belonging to the consuming COBRA type, rather than to the ones pertinent to the creating COBRA type.

Opis:
The spatial temperature distributions in fuel and coolant, results in appearing local changes in those elements densities in the reactor core, and also due to the complete solubility of boric acid in the coolant, there will be a direct correlation between the changes in the boron concentration and the coolant density. Because of the gradual reduction of boron concentration, first a local positive reactivity will be inserted into the core which will cause slight thermo-neutronic fluctuations in the reactor core. Of course, the trend of this process in the case of excessive reduction of the density of the coolant and evaporation of water (accident scenarios) will be reversed and subsequently the negative reactivity will be given to the system. With regard to the importance of this phenomenon, the spatial changes of boron concentration in the core and fuel assemblies of Bushehr VVER-1000 reactor have been examined. In line with this, by designing a complete thermo-neutronic cycle and by using CITATION, WIMS D-5 and COBRAN-EN codes, coolant temperature distribution and boron concentration will be calculated through this procedure, which first by using the output results of WIMS and CITATION codes, the thermal power of each fuel assembly will be calculated and finally, by linking these data to COBRA-EN code and using core and sub-channel analysis methods, the three-dimensional (3D) calculations of boron dilution will be obtained in the core as well as the fuel assemblies of the reactor.
