    Статията е коментар върху Библиографията на преводи на българската литература в Полша през 2014 г. Авторката се средоточава върху избраните преводи, събрани в два сборника — Ломски разкази на Емил Андреев и подборът Antologia literatury bułgarskiej w przekładzie Hanny Karpińskiej (Антология на българската литература в превода на Хана Карпинска). Анализът използва теория на полето и актьори институции на литературното поле на френския социолог, Пиер Бурдие. Анлизът се стреми да открие механизми, които стоят зад процеса на превода — решаване какво се превежда (кои автори и кои творби), съдействие с издатели, но също така и културната политика на България. Показва също разликата между публикация на книгата и публикация в пресата в контекста на литературното поле (м/у др. читатели, награди и т.н.)
    The paper is a comment on the Bibliography of literary translations from Bulgarian to Polish in 2014. The author of this article focuses on two translations that may be considered as completed — that is, a book with short stories Lomski razkazi (Lom stories) by Emil Andreev and a selection Antologia literatury bułgarskiej w przekładzie Hanny Karpińskiej (Anthology of Bulgarian Literature in translation of Hanna Karpinska). The analysis uses the concept of field and actors/institutions in the literary field by the French sociologist, Pierre Bourdieu. The analysis tries to reveal mechanisms beyond the translation process — decision on what is translated (author and piece), cooperation with publishers, but also official cultural policy of Bulgaria. It also shows differences between book and magazine publications in the context of literary filed (in. al. reading audience, literary prizes).

    In the article, the author presents his own interpretation of Pierre Bourdieu’s concept of social field research. At the beginning, he introduces the general field theory and then presents the counselling practice as a manifestation of the counselling field operation. Subsequently, he presents methodological aspects of the field’s effects examination, makes the conceptualization of the main analytical categories and at the same time observable social phenomena, in particular doxa, illusio, generative structures of field’s divisions and classifications or counseling game stakes. In summary, he draws attention to the potential and limitations of field theory.
    W artykule autor prezentuje własną interpretację koncepcji Pierre’a Bourdieu badania pola społecznego. Na początku przybliża ogólną teorię pola, a następnie przedstawia praktykę poradnictwa jako przejaw działania pola poradniczego. W dalszej kolejności prezentuje metodologiczne aspekty badania efektów tego pola, a więc dokonuje konceptualizacji głównych kategorii analitycznych, czyli jednocześnie takich obserwowalnych fenomenów społecznych, jak doxa, illusio, generatywne zasady klasyfikacji i podziałów pola czy stawki gry poradniczej. Podsumowując, zwraca uwagę na potencjał i ograniczenia teorii pola.

    This paper is an exploratory study that uses Bourdieu’s ‘Field of Power’ theory to contextualize and place the expressed and hidden centers of power within the domestic violence shelter system, as a function of direct feedback from agents within that system. Data for the study was collected from Reddit, a popular ‘chat-room’ style forum for a variety of social and technical issues. Direct feedback about domestic violence shelter experiences from all participants in that ecosystem was coded based on agent/power dynamics. Results from the study indicate that certain actors within the domestic violence shelter system, namely abusers represent a hidden center of power.

    This article presents a reappraisal of the concept of the 1890–1918 literary period from the perspective of sociology of literature, and in particular Pierre Bourdieu’s theory of literary field (le champ littéraire), set out in his Les règles de l’art (1992). It goes without saying that the turn of the 19th century saw the emergence of a modernist movement, or, an autonomous literary field, dedicated to ‘pure’ art and literature, divorced from any social obligations. Within the Bourdieuesque perspective the dynamics of the literary field can be examined from a number of perspectives with the aim of assessing the success or failure of its strategies of consecration (i.e. the building of legitimacy and prestige), the habitus of its key figures, or its role as a space of mediation between external forces (les logiques externs) and the autonomy of literary production. The ultimate aim of conducting all those probes is to validate the claim that the 1890–1910 modernist literary field was indeed autonomous. In fact, its emergence in Poland bore a marked resemblance to the developments in mid-19th century French literature, as described by Bourdieu. The peculiar character of the Polish literary field resulted mainly from the one external factor, Poland’s political status until the declaration of independence in 1918.
