W referacie przedstawiono ocenę warunków odbioru programów telewizji cyfrowej nadawanych w multipleksie MUX1 emitowanych w kanale 45 oraz programów nadawanych w multipleksie MUX2, emitowanych w kanałach 41 i 46 z nadajników zlokalizowanych na obszarze województwa lubuskiego w Radiowo - Telewizyjnym Centrum Nadawczym (RTCN) Jemiołów k/Łagowa i w Radiowo - Telewizyjnym Centrum Nadawczym (RTCN) Wichów k/Żagania. Dokonano też oceny warunków odbioru programów telewizji cyfrowej nadawanych w multipleksie MUX3 emitowanych w kanale 21 z nadajnika zlokalizowanego w Radiofonicznym Ośrodku Nadawczym (RON) w Gorzowie Wlkp. Oceny warunków nada-wanych programów dokonano na podstawie przeprowadzonych pomiarów natężenia pola w wyznaczonych Terenowych Punktach Pomiarowych (TPP).
The paper presents an assessment of receiving conditions of digital television programmmess broadcasted in channels: 21, 41, 45 and 46 from transmitters located on the Lubuskie Province area in the RCTN (Radio & Television Transmitting Centre) Jemiołów near the city of Łagów, in the RCTN Wichów near the city of Żagań and in the RON (Radio Transmitting Centre) Gorzów Wielkopolski. In the introduction (Section 1) there is indicated the significance of conversion from analogue to digital broadcasting as well as the importance of The Act of 30 June 2011 on the implementation of DTT. Section 2 describes technical and operational conditions of digital emission of television programmmess on the Lubuskie Province area. In order to assess receiving conditions of digital television programs in the Lubuskie Province, 13 Terrain Measurement Points (TPP) located along the Province border were chosen. Deployment of the TPP is depicted in Fig. 2. On the basis of performed measurements of the field strength in the designated TPP an assessment of reception possibility of digitally broadcasted television programmes was made (Section 3). The results of measurements are presented in Table 2. Section 4 reviews the schedule of introducing DTT in multipleks MUX3 in the Lubuskie Province as well as the timetable of analogue television switch off in Poland and in the Lubuskie Province. In the conclusions (Section 5) the essential data concerning receiving conditions of digital broadcast television programmes in the transitional period from both Radio & Television Transmitting Centres and Radio Transmitting Centre Gorzów Wielkopolski located in the Lubuskie Province are com-pared.

Rośliny wytworzyły szereg mechanizmów odpowiadających za naprawę uszkodzeń oksydacyjnych wywołanych reaktywnymi formami tlenu. System naprawy poprzez wycinanie zasad wydaje się głównym system naprawczym prowadzącym do zniwelowania zmian wytworzonych przez reaktywne formy tlenu. UUważa się, że dwoma ważnymi enzymami odpowiadającymi za usuwanie 8-oksoguaniny są glikozylaza 8-oksoguaniny DNA i glikozylaza DNA formamidopirimidyny. Wielu badaczy zauważa zależność pomiędzy nagromadzeniem zmian oksydacyjnych w komórce, a aktywnością glikozylazy 8-oksoguaniny DNA i glikozylazy DNA formamidopirimidyny, oraz starzeniem się nasion. Potwierdzono, że poziom FPG oraz OGG1 wzrasta podczas imbibicji nasion. Niniejsza praca ma na celu przybliżenie działania systemu naprawczego BER w procesie napraw uszkodzeń oksydacyjnych oddziaływujących na starzenie się nasion. Celem pracy jest przedstawienie obecnego stanu na temat działania systemu BER (ang Base Excision Repair) w naprawie uszkodzeń oksydacyjnych wpływających na starzenie się nasion.
Plants have developed a number of mechanisms that are responsible for repairing the oxidative damage caused by reactive oxygen species. The base excision repair system is the main repair system for removing such changes. Herein, 8-oxoguanine DNA glycosylase and formamidopyrimidine DNA glycosylase are the two enzymes of importance for removing 8-oxoG. Researchers have confirmed that FPG and OGG1 levels increase during seed imbibition. Indeed, many researchers note the relationship between the accumulation of oxidative changes in the cell and the activity of OGG1 and FPG and the aging of seeds. This short review aims at presenting the published data on the operation of the base excision repair system in the process of repairing oxidative damage affecting seed aging.

There are abundant methods to mitigate PAPR in OFDM signals among which algorithm based tone reservation is of great popularity owing to its low complexity as well as decent BER. Here we have put forward a new distinct algorithm based Tone Reservation technique which is not only less complex and calculates its own threshold as well as PRT signal (unlike other algorithms requiring predetermined threshold and PRT) but also aptly modifies the data by bit by bit comparison with a modified copy of itself (algorithm modified) thus scaling the peaks as and providing a decent BER and good PAPR reduction.

Opis:
Light fidelity (Li-Fi) systems based on the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) scheme have gained more attention in the communications circles, as a means to provide high spectral efficiency and ensure stricter data rate requirements for visible light communication (VLC) systems. However, common OFDM schemes employ Hermitian symmetry to obtain a real-valued signal which is necessary in intensity modulation and direct detection (IM/DD) optical systems, at the expense of doubling the required bandwidth. In this paper, a novel transmission scheme for an OFDM-based Li-Fi system is proposed to tackle the issue in question. A new approach to complex signal mapping (CSM), based on the pairing function method, has been developed for Li-Fi systems. It does not require Hermitian symmetry and, hence, saves about 50% of the required bandwidth. Unlike existing OFDM-based VLC approaches, the proposed scheme employs CSM to ensure a real and positive signal without Hermitian symmetry in order to fully utilize the bandwidth available to Li-Fi networks. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme significantly outperforms other systems in terms of spectral efficiency. The CSM-OFDM based Li-Fi system also achieves a good peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction with acceptable bit-error-rate (BER) performance, compared to conventional approaches.

Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems will play an important role in future generations of wireless networks. Space-time block code (STBC) and space-time trellis code (STTC) are two techniques that may be used in multi-antenna radio systems. This paper aims, most importantly, to study the performance of STBC systems at different values of such parameters as spectral efficiency, matrix codes and constellations. A performance comparison between STBC and STTC schemes is performed. In order to show the efficiency of the system’s ability to communicate with uncoded and coded transmission structures over AWGN and Rayleigh channels, the trellis-coded modulation (TCM) is introduced. The results obtained show that the proposed TCM-STBC system model, using one and two receiving antennas, improves the performance of Rayleigh channel communication systems at 9.5 dB and 11.5 dB for a BER of 10−5.

This paper focuses on the role of small and medium-sized ports (SMPs) in enhancing the competitiveness and logistics performance of multi-port gateway regions and associated inland logistics systems. The concepts developed will be applied to the ports in the northeast of China, a multi-port gateway region around the Bohai Sea Economic Rim (BER). Port competition is analyzed by multi-variable methodology and generalized common characteristics of SMPs compared to gateway ports, and the similarities of SMPs and SMEs are also compared. Later in this paper, we analyze the role of a SMP in such region in different variables: (a) cargo volume and market share; (b) international connectivity; (c) relative cluster position; (d) port city and hinterland connection; and (e) logistics and distribution function. The five-dimension analysis combined with in-depth cases study of typical Yingkou port describes a profile of SMPs in the BER and provides future study possibility for more SMPs cases worldwide.

In the maritime Very High Frequency (VHF) band, there are no systems for transmitting large amounts of data. Therefore, it is necessary to develop new systems that would modernize the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS), significantly relieve the Automatic Identification System’s (AIS) communication channels, and set guidelines for the development of communication infrastructure of the e-Navigation. In line with this, analytical and simulation models of the maritime VHF data transmission communication system using Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) modulation are worked out in this paper. The achieved data rate, the spectral efficiency and the bit error rate (BER) represent validation parameters on which the results of the analytical and simulation models are evaluated. It is concluded that the application of the digital OFDM modulation in the maritime VHF band may improve the GMDSS system by achieving higher data rates compared to the current terrestrial mandatory systems for data exchange, i.e. Digital Selective Calling (DSC) and AIS.

Many software based OFDM techniques were proposed from last half decade to improve the performance of the system. This paper tried to implement the same with Hardwar implementation. We created Hardware based MISO platform with OFDM. We implemented Alamouti algorithm on this test bed. The test bed is implemented with the help of Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). The test bed is functionalized with the help of FPGA through Xilinx based system generator for DSP. In this paper we considered the 2×1 MISO implementation with Alamouti algorithm. The simulation results showed that BER and SNR are considerably high for MISO than SISO. The results also proved that proposed OFDM based Alamouti implementation for MISO is excellent in all performance criterions.

In this paper, we show that for any tree of order $ n \ge 2$, $ \gamma_t^L (T) \le a(T) + 1 $ and we characterize the trees achieving this bound.

Opis:
Essential oils as alternative synthetic pesticides for pest management of foodstuffs have recently received increased attention. Controlled and slow release formulations of essential oils are used to enhance their efficiency. Two volatile essential oils of Mentha piperita L. and Salvia officinalis L. were investigated for release rate and mortality percentage by fumigant toxicity against 1st instar larvae of Plodia interpunctella. Electrospinning was used to incorporate various concentrations of essential oils in nanofibers. Th e essential oils can be released from the nanofibers for long periods of time, from several days to several weeks. Poly(lactic acid) was used as a green polymer carrier and the essential oils were incorporated into the nanofi bers (8–15v/v% PLA). Insecticidal bioassay revealed that oil-loaded nanofibers (NFOs) were more toxic than pure essential oils (PEOs) against tested larvae. Th e LC50 and LT50 of NFOs were 1.2 and 4 times, respectively, more than PEOs. Our results indicated that PEOs completely lost their insecticidal activity after 14 days, whereas at the same period, NFOs had an average of 93% mortality when applied against P. interpunctella. Therefore, it can be concluded that nanofibers improved the persistence of the oil. This study presents S. officinalis has more toxicity and M. piperita had more persistence for controlling the larvae of indian meal moth.
