    Opis:
    Overuse of spirits is one of the biggest problems of the modern world. It is a very complex and difficult to eradicate phenomenon. Destructive consequences are carried for both the addict and the whole family. It is especially harmful for social, intellectual and emotional development of the child, which resides in a pathological environment. Parenting skills of parents with drinking problem are severely weakened and inconsistent. Children of alcoholics live in a tense atmosphere and everyday life is unpredictable for them. Troubling alcohol consumption interferes functioning, communication and trust of the family. The purpose of this article is to present the problems of alcoholism in a family with alcohol issues.

    Opis:
    The article concerns the child from an alcoholic family in a pre-school environment. The author presents a theoretical introduction on definitions important for understanding the subject, then addresses the subject of social pathology as a factor disturbing the durability of the family system. The topic of social roles in the alcoholic family and their impact on the child’s socialization process continue to arouse interest. Another issue raised in the article is the topic of co-dependence, starting from the general definition and understanding of the concept and ending with the impact of this phenomenon on the child’s functioning. The issue analyzed and reflected is as follows: a child from an alcoholic family as a student – in particular in relationships with teachers and peers. The author reflected moreover on the possible difficulties a child in a pathological family may encounter in the school environment, as well as on suggested practical solutions and a support network that may help the individual and its immediate environment to fight against difficulties and to motivate change. The article has an introduction and ending, which aptly sums up the issues dealt with.

    Pomimo, że w polskiej literaturze naukowej jak i specjalistycznej problem współuzależnienia oraz psychologicznego systemu wsparcia członków rodzin osób uzależnionych od alkoholu jest szeroko opisany, to pomijanym aspektem wciąż pozostaje emocjonalne funkcjonowanie rodziny z problemem alkoholowym z perspektywy rodziców dorosłych uzależnionych dzieci. W dostępnym piśmiennictwie naukowym trudno wyodrębnić i wskazać specyficzne problemy będące udziałem jedynie rodziców dorosłych dzieci uzależnionych od alkoholu. Zazwyczaj wnioski z tychże badań dotyczą ogółu krewnych osób uzależnionych. W niniejszym artykule podjęto próbę odpowiedzi na pytania jakich emocji wynikających z uzależnienia od alkoholu dorosłego dziecka doświadczają ich rodzice, jakie znaczenie nadają tym emocjom, oraz w jaki sposób doświadczane przez rodziców emocje oddziaływają na ich więzi z uzależnionymi od alkoholu dziećmi. Pierwszą część artykułu stanowi podbudowa teoretyczna. Omówiono w niej problematykę więzi psychicznej, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem więzi emocjonalnych w rodzinie z problemem alkoholowym. Druga część artykułu to analiza fragmentu badań prowadzonych w ramach projektu pn. „Rodzina w systemie wsparcia społecznego i pomocy osobom z problemem alkoholowym. Badania biograficzne z udziałem rodziców (dorosłych) dzieci uzależnionych od alkoholu”. Zadanie „Wspieranie badań naukowych w obszarze problemów wynikających z używania alkoholu”. Projekt ten realizowany jest ze środków Funduszu Rozwiązywania Problemów Hazardowych w ramach Narodowego Programu Zdrowia na lata 2016-2020. Artykuł kończą konkluzje dotyczące emocji doświadczanych i odczuwanych przez rodziców dorosłych dzieci uzależnionych od alkoholu.
    Despite the fact that in the Polish scientific and specialist literature the problem of co-dependence and the psychological support system for family members of alcohol addicts is widely described, the emotional function of the family with the alcohol problem from the perspective of adult parents of addicted children is still overlooked. In the available scientific literature, it is difficult to identify and indicate specific problems that only the parents of adult children addicted to alcohol have. Usually the conclusions from these studies concern the general relatives of addicts. This article attempts to answer the questions what emotions are experienced by the parents of an adult child addicted to alcohol, what significance they give to these emotions, and how the emotions experienced by parents affect their bonds with alcohol addicted children. The first part of the article is the theoretical foundation. It discusses the issue of family bonds, with particular emphasis on emotional bonds in the family with the alcohol problem. The second part of the article is an analysis of a fragment of research conducted as part of the project called „Family in the system of social support and help people with alcohol problems. Biographical research with the participation of parents (adults) of children addicted to alcohol. „The task „Supporting scientific research in the area of problems arising from the use of alcohol”. This project is implemented from the Gambling Risk Fund under the National Health Program for 2016-2020. The article ends with conclusions about the emotions experienced and felt by parents of adult children addicted to alcohol.

    This paper attempts to examine biographical consequences and costs of growing up in an alcoholic home and to scrutinize the development of biographical identity of an adult woman (Natalia) who lives with conviction that as a teenager she “dared” to bring into question the “normality” of her own family when escaping the collective alcoholic trajectory of her family through attempting suicide and entering a children’s home. Consequently, she is still guilt-ridden since she feels responsible for destroying the facade of a (false and illusionary) positive family image and for being the one who managed to get out of the collective trajectory of suffering. On the basis of the concept of “betrayal funnel,” as described by Erving Goffman, it is shown that Natalia was sort of “framed” in “reversed betrayal funnel” by a school psychologist – who probably intended to help but her activities turned out badly in the long run. Furthermore, it is argued that her subjective definition of the course of events in her life results not only in a (subliminal) nagging sense of guilt (strengthened by a negative “me” image created by her family) and her obsessive responsibility for her parents and siblings but – in spite of a fulfilling and meaningful life – it still impedes all her attempts to work the trajectory potential through. This has a strong influence on her current world of everyday existence, her personal identity, and biographical orientation.

    W artykule uwydatnione zostały najczęściej wzmiankowane w literaturze przedmiotu trudności jakich doświadczają dorosłe dzieci alkoholików w różnych sferach funkcjonowania na etapie dorosłości. Osobom pochodzącym z rodzin alkoholowych przypisuje się szczególną podatność na uzależnienia od substancji psychoaktywnych. Wobec przyjętych faktów postawiony problem badawczy skupia się na doświadczeniach respondentów dotyczących obecności alkoholu w ich dorosłym życiu.
    The article highlights the difficulties most frequently mentioned in the literature on the subject that adult children of alcoholics experience in various spheres of functioning at the stage of adulthood. People from alcoholic families are considered to be particularly susceptible to addiction to psychoactive substances. In view of the accepted facts, the presented research problem focuses on the respondents' experiences regarding the presence of alcohol in their adult life.

    The article shows the influence of a family with an alcohol problem on the psychosocial functioning of the child. It is based on data acquired from surveys which were carried out with the techniques of random sampling and an interview. The persons covered with the surveys included 52 children between 12 and 16 years old, participants in classes run by the Community Centre in Iława and 11 members of the Community of Adult Children of Alco-holics who meet in the Centre for Psychoeducation, Addiction Prevention and Family Sup-port in Iława. The article discusses the issue of the attention which alcohol-addicted parents pay to their children's basic needs, traumatic experiences and other negative feelings experi-enced by the child, as well as the question of social and educational effects of one or both parents' alcohol abuse.

    Artykuł dotyczy problemu ekosystemu rodzinnego jako podstawowego środowiska socjalizacjii wychowania dziecka.Nie jest to jednak kolejne definicyjne ujęcie tego tematu, ale raczej synteza wiedzy niezbędnej dla określenia tła stanowiącego przybliżenie zasadniczej problematyki niniejszego studium, koncentrującego się wokół konsekwencji (dla funkcjonowania w dorosłym życiu) wychowywania się w rodzinach dotkniętych kryzysami. Literatura przedmiotu oraz terapeuci coraz częściej kierują uwagę nie tylko na kwestię dorosłych dzieci alkoholików (DDA), ale także – rozpatrując problem w szerszym ujęciu – dorosłych dzieci z rodzin dysfunkcyjnych (DDD), zaznaczając tym samym, że osoby, które wychowywały się w nieprawidłowym, dysfunkcjonalnym środowisku, projektują zaburzone zachowania na swoje własne życie partnerskie, rodzinne i społeczne (Pospiszyl, 1998, s. 17–175).
    The article focuses on the ecosystem of the family as the basic socializing environment of the child. However, this is not another definitional approach, but rather a synthesis of knowledge necessary to determine the background constituting the fundamental issues of family environment. This study is centered around the consequences of growing up in the families involved in crises and its consequences for the further functioning in adulthood. Today, more and more attention is paid not only to adults with an adult child of an alcoholic syndrome (DDA), but also more broadly – on an adult child of a dysfunctional family (DDD), thereby making it clear that children who grew up in the wrong, dysfunctional environment, design disturbed behaviour on their own life partner, family and social surroundings.
