    Opis:
    This overview article explores some of the current trends and research possibilities in audiovisual translation which is a rapidly growing eld of translation studies due to the increased demand for audiovisual content in the era of technology. It briefly describes audience-oriented studies and research possibilities regarding humour perception and eye tracking with a special focus on making audiovisual content available to hearing and visually impaired audience. Moreover, it outlines collaborative translation and crowdsourcing along with fansubbing and fandubbing as a popular forms of nonprofessional practice. The article also discusses the employment of the machine, neural machine and speech translation to audiovisual or media content.

    Wprowadzenie: Współczesne zmiany cywilizacyjne i kulturowe sprawiają, że studenci z niewidomi doświadczają wiele wyzwań psychologicznych, społecznych i fizycznych, które mogą przyczyniać się do powstawania trudności edukacyjnych i społecznych. Cel badań: Celem badań było poznanie opinii studentów niewidomych dotyczących ich sytuacji i trudności podczas studiowania oraz możliwości otrzymywanego wsparcia. Metoda: Przeprowadzono badania jakościowe. Były to wypowiedzi uzyskane za pomocą wywiadu narracyjnego w formie osobistych, subiektywnych doświadczeń i przeżyć badanych osób.  Wyniki: Zaprezentowano doświadczenia edukacyjne studentów niewidomych w formie ich opinii dotyczących adaptacji materiałów dydaktycznych, dostosowania dla studentów niewidomych form zajęć, zaliczeń i egzaminów, dostępności zasobów bibliotecznych, dostępności serwisów internetowych uczelni, warunków urbanistycznych i barier architektonicznych, opinii badanych na temat postaw pracowników naukowych i studentów pełnosprawnych wobec studiujących osób niewidomych, postaw badanych wobec procesu kształcenia i ocena swojej roli w tym procesie. Wnioski: Pomimo wskazania wielu barier obniżających poziom dostępności, respondenci wyrazili zadowolenie z podjęcia kształcenia poziomie wyższym.
    Introduction: Contemporary civilizational and cultural changes mean that blind students experience many psychological, social and physical challenges that can contribute to educational and social difficulties. Research Aim: The aim of the research was to find out about the opinions of blind students regarding their situation and difficulties while studying, as well as the possibilities of received support. Method: Qualitative research has been carried out. These were statements obtained through an narrative interview in the form of personal, subjective experiences and experiences of the respondents. Results: Educational experiences of blind students were presented in the form of their opinions on the adaptation of teaching materials, adaptation of classes, credits and examinations for blind students, availability of library resources, access to university websites, urban planning conditions and architectural barriers, opinions of the respondents about the attitudes of research workers and non-disabled students towards blind students, attitudes of the respondents towards the education process and assessment of their role in this process. Conclusion: Despite pointing out a number of barriers to accessibility, respondents expressed satisfaction with taking up higher education.

    Opis:
    This article ponders on the accessibility of art for people with visual impairments. Using the example of Fundacja Wielozmysły (Multi-Sense Foundation), it shows how the visually impaired can be included in the reception and creation of visual culture. The text presents various forms of making art accessible and translating the language of the visual into other senses. It highlights the potential of artistic mediation in the process of sharing and creating events accessible to people with visual impairments and those with regular vision. Accessibility is defined as creating common spaces and searching for places and situations where people with disabilities can participate in the cultural and social life on par with others. The authors of the article refer to disability studies and argue that as long as disability is perceived in a stereotypical manner accessibility cannot exist. They conclude that accessibility can be beneficial for everyone, regardless of disability, and may become a new, democratic form of experiencing art. For people with disabilities, accessibility will be a process that enables them to study visual culture and its products. For others, it may serve as a new form of contact with art.

    Opis:
    Culture takes an increasingly important position in the debate about the accessibility of public space for persons with disabilities. Many questions about how to include them in cultural life have emerged. The subject of the present article is a theoretical reflection on actions taken in this area by cultural institutions and non-governmental organizations. Basing on a comparative analysis of two events of such kind, and using the achievements of special pedagogy, I present two models of cultural accessibility for persons with disabilities: the separative and integrative model. I ponder on their advantages and disadvantages. I conclude by claiming that both can be useful in the process of making culture accessible for persons with disabilities, providing that the beneficiaries will be allowed to choose what kind of events they will attend. These considerations accord with the recently burgeoning field of accessibility studies, while Disability Studies serves as a broad theoretical frame.
    W debacie na temat dostępności przestrzeni publicznej dla osób z niepełnosprawnościami kultura zajmuje coraz ważniejsze miejsce. Pojawia się wiele pytań o to, jak najlepiej włączać osoby z niepełnosprawnościami w życie kulturalne. Przedmiotem niniejszego artykułu jest namysł teoretyczny nad działaniami podejmowanymi w tym zakresie przez instytucje kultury i organizacje pozarządowe. Na podstawie analizy porównawczej dwóch imprez tego typu i w oparciu o dorobek pedagogiki specjalnej przedstawiam dwa modele udostępniania kultury osobom z niepełnosprawnościami: segregacyjny oraz integracyjny. Analizuję ich wady i zalety. Konkluduję stwierdzając, że oba z nich mogą okazać się przydatne w procesie udostępniania kultury, pod warunkiem, że odbiorca będzie miał swobodę wyboru, z wydarzeń którego rodzaju skorzysta. Całość rozważań wpisuję się w rodzące się właśnie studia nad dostępnością. Za szerszą ramę teoretyczną służy mi perspektywa studiów o niepełnosprawności.
