Czym jest Majdan po trzech latach od pamiętnego lutego 2014? Czy w Ukrainie jest przestrzeń dla obywatelskich działań zbiorowych? Jak można budować społeczeństwo cywilne, gdy kraj jest w stanie wojny, nazwanej ATO czyli „operacja antyterrorystyczna”? Punktem odniesienie analizy Majdanu jest ruch społeczny Solidarność opisany w kategoriach zaproponowanych przez Alain Touraine i jego zespół badawczy w 1981 roku. W artykule rozważany jest potencjał działania bezprzemocowego w środowisku weteranów ATO. Czy są gotowi współtworzyć niezależne i samorządne związki zawodowe na Ukrainie? Brak wymiaru robotniczego czy też związkowego jest zasadniczą różnicą pomiędzy ruchem społecznym Majdan a Solidarnością.
The main question of the article concerns Maidan as a social movement three years after the February 2014. Is there still a room for citizen-oriented social actions? How is it possible to build an Ukrainian civil society at the state of war officially named ATO (“anti-terrorist operation”)? The frame of reference for Maidan analysis is the social movement Solidarity as described by Alain Touraine and his research team at 1981. Analysis is focused on the ATO veteran volunteers’ potential of social nonviolent activism. Are they ready to cooperate to construct an independent and self-governed trade unions? The lack of “workers dimension” or union dimension at Maidan movement makes difference if we compare it with Solidarity.

Opis:
In the paper target braking of underground trains as a function of an Automatic Train Operation (ATO) system has been described. Target braking relies on automatic train stopping at the stations, wherein braking process is fully controlled by a computer device and it is executed by a proper control of electric motors. Also functionality of the SOP-2 system used in the Warsaw underground is presented. The rolling stock powered by an AC and DC motor as an example of target braking has been taken into consideration. Finally, a direct braking simulation model created in the SIMULINK software has been discussed. The calculations of target braking performed for a Alstom Metropolis train are presented.

Opis:
Stable dispersion of antimony-doped tin oxide nano-powder was prepared by wet attrition process by comminuting aggregated ATO nano-powder using the titanate coupling agent as a dispersant to form the chemisorbed layer on the particle surface. The feed solution of the ATO dispersion and PVP was prepared for electro-spun fibers on the glass substrate. The surface resistance of the fibrous ATO film after electrospinning for 30 minutes was in the order of 105 Ω/□, which is sufficient for anti-static coating. The optical transmittance of ATO fibers was confirmed by measuring the visible light transmittance.

In recent years the territory of Ukraine and its regions has been under the negative influence of a number of technogenically dangerous factors. Among the latter, to determine the level of safety it is common practice to analyze the number of potentially dangerous objects, their spatial location, distribution by types of activity and hazards, etc. The article presents the latest challenges and threats in the system of anthropogenic safety of Ukraine, including: non-compliance of the regulatory system, lack of adequate risk assessment methods, sharp extension of causal relationships and strengthening of the role of synergistic risks, etc. Attention is focused on new risks and threats caused by political instability in the territory of separate regions of Ukraine, including the ATO zone, and a structure for their further analysis and assessment is suggested.

The current situation in Ukraine concerning the guarantee of social protection and providing social services for ATO participants by state and non-governmental organizations is analyzed. Legislative strengthening of social protection of ATO participants is revealed. The current state of the providing of social services for ATO participants and their family members, the effectiveness of the use of resources (financing) for 2014–2016 on the basis of a comparative analysis of the costs on social protection in the expenditures of the Consolidated Budget of Ukraine and presented as a share of GDP, in Ukraine and the European Union countries for 2011–2014, are evaluated. The problems in the field of social protection for ATO participants and and promising measures in this field such as the evaluation of the effectiveness of national and regional social programs for ATO participants and the evaluation of the public expenditures for the social protection of ATO participants and the evaluation of the quality of social services for ATO participants are grounded.

Opis:
The paper describes AC and DC drives used in underground trains and braking methods of underground trains cooperating with an Automatic Train Operation (ATO) system. A train drive with an AC motor and a drive with DC motor with impulse and resistance riot has been described. An ATO system ensures automatic train piloting such as acceleration and braking. A type of this system, used especially on underground lines implements a direct position breaking. The precision of train braking depends on the motor control, which is particularly important during electrodynamic braking. The type of used drive affects on preciseness and quality of duty braking process. The concept of an efficient regulation of the duty braking, the control- execution system and a breaking quality indicator has been described.

Opis:
Intensive pursuit in the introduction of automatic train driving systems, both with and without the driver in the cabin, can be observed around the world. Implementation of such a system allows for an increase in both the safety level of traffic and capacity of railway lines and consequently, an increase in the running frequency of these trains, which is extremely important in large urban agglomerations. One type of automatic train system is the CBTC class, in which a wireless network is used for data transmission. An important issue in the systems of this class is the problem of transferring information from the track to the train about the possibility and method of driving. This article describes the possible ways of sending information from the track to the train. The system of information transmission from track to trains (SPITP) was defined and discussed. The general characteristics of the CBTC class systems were presented. In Poland, a scientific project which aimed at developing the CBTC class system was recently undertaken. It is called rmCBTC and is being prepared as part of a project carried out by the Rail-Mil Computers Sp. z o. o. from Warsaw and the Faculty of Transport of the Warsaw University of Technology, co-financed by the National Center for Research and Development from the European Union Funds. This article presents the assumptions of the designed system and discusses the scope of data that is necessary in the subsystem of information transfer from the track to the train with the rmCBTC system.

Opis:
The article explores the key issues and needs of families of participants in anti-terrorist operation (ATO). The article defines and characterizes several types of families of ATO participants, who took part in an interview. Based on in-depth interviews and further analysis, the authors identified four categories of problems of these families, e.g., psychological, financial, legal, and problems with raising children. It was determined that violations of the life of the families whose members were ATO participants were caused not only by family-specific problems but also by several other factors. Based on the identified specific problems, the authors identified the main needs of the families of the members of antiterrorist operations.

The article analyzes a volume of literary reports by Ê. Gončarova Desʹ poruč vìjna. The texts that the writers come out from under the pen are deeply rooted in the described reality, not only thought out but also lived. Jelizaweta Honcharova writes reports from the war which brutally invaded her life (she comes from Artemivsk herself). In the texts, however, we will not fi nd despair, complaint or grief and pictures of the life of the areas through which the war is swept. The protagonists of the reports Desʹ poruč vìjna are people repeatedly subjected to war. The writer looks at their reactions to the next challenges, the struggle for survival, the safety of his family, and fi nally the normal living conditions. Jelizaweta Honcharova notices their confusion, the doubts on which side of the confl ict should be told. Without pathos and judgment, it shows the drama of political divisions and choices in which the boundary between being a patriot and a traitor is often not sharp clear może. He leans over a drama of broken families, confl icts and despair that break out in them. The author presents a war that kills childhood. It takes your big and smaller dreams away irretrievably. The drama of war presented by the writer takes place on many levels. The most important of them is probably the sphere of family life. War violates the basic tissue of relationships for children. Thanks to the reports of Honcharova, the reader notices the whole range of problems that a young man encounters. The reports are full of pain but also the awareness of the good that happens between people even in such inhuman times. They constitute a kind of testimony of history, designed to protect against possible attempts to manipulate it in the future. Thus, Honcharova gives them supra-regional and timeless dimension.
