The tests were carried out with respect to different structure solutions and different kinds of contact materials.

Let D be a strong digraph. An arc subset S is a k-restricted arc cut of D if D − S has a strong component D′ with order at least k such that D\V (D′) contains a connected subdigraph with order at least k. If such a k-restricted arc cut exists in D, then D is called λk-connected. For a λk-connected digraph D, the k-restricted arc connectivity, denoted by λk(D), is the minimum cardinality over all k-restricted arc cuts of D. It is known that for many digraphs λk(D) ≤ ξk(D), where ξk(D) denotes the minimum k-degree of D. D is called λk-optimal if λk(D) = ξk(D). In this paper, we will give some sufficient conditions for digraphs and bipartite digraphs to be λ3-optimal.

A ship’s wind energy utilization device with multi-mode arc-shaped sails is designed, which have different working modes for sail-assisting or wind power generation according to the ship’s navigation. The structural characteristics and working principles of this device are firstly described in this paper. Three sets of arc-shaped sails with different thickness (4.5 cm, 11.3 cm, 21.7 cm) were designed. Wind tunnel experiments were carried out in the respects of sail-assisting performance and wind-power generation to determine the best sail blade shape and to verify the energy-saving effect of this device. Experiments show that the sail with the smallest thickness (4.5 cm) has a better boosting effect than others, and the sail with the largest thickness (21.7 cm) has the best wind power generation performance. Considering the lateral force and the structural strength of the support, in the case of the comprehensive evaluation for the boosting and power generation performance, it is considered that the intermediate thickness (11.3 cm) is the best choice. The device has a good comprehensive energy utilization effect and has development and application value.

Let $ D = (V (D),A(D)) $ be a strongly connected digraph. An arc set $ S \subseteq A(D) $ is a restricted arc-cut of $D$ if $ D − S$ has a non-trivial strong component $ D_1 $ such that $ D − V (D_1)$ contains an arc. The restricted arc-connectivity $ \lambda^‘(D) $ is the minimum cardinality over all restricted arc-cuts of $D$. In [C. Balbuena, P. García-Vázquez, A. Hansberg and L.P. Montejano, On the super-restricted arc-connectivity of s-geodetic digraphs, Networks 61 (2013) 20-28], Balbuena et al. introduced the concept of super-$ \lambda^' $ digraphs. In this paper, we first introduce the concept of the arc fault tolerance of a digraph $D$ on the super-$ \lambda^‘ $ property. We define a super-$ \lambda^′ $ digraph $D$ to be $m$-super-$ \lambda^‘ $ if $D − S $ is still super-$ \lambda^‘ $ for any $ S \subseteq A(D) $ with $ |S| \le m $. The maximum value of such $m$, denoted by $S_{ \lambda^’ } (D) $, is said to be the arc fault tolerance of $D$ on the super-$ \lambda^‘$ property. $ S_{ \lambda^’ } (D) $ is an index to measure the reliability of networks. Next we provide a necessary and sufficient condition for the Cartesian product of regular digraphs to be super-$ \lambda^‘ $. Finally, we give the lower and upper bounds on $ S_{ \lambda^’ } (D) $ for the Cartesian product $D$ of regular digraphs and give an example to show that the lower and upper bounds are best possible. In particular, the exact value of $ S_{ \lambda^’ } (D) $ is obtained in special cases.

St. Augustine is regarded as master of the an allegorical interpretation of the Holy Scriptures. It consists in drawing out from the biblical text the deepest meaning. Using such kind of interpretation, he tried in one of his greatest exegetical works – Enarrationes in Psalmos, to explain for his faithful the mystery of the Church by means of a number of motives from the parables, biblical topographic and cosmic subjects, as well as from many biblical events and personages, interpreted in an allegorical spirit. So, in this article an effort has been made to show only some ideas of Augustine’s ecclesiological reflections that look as fruit of his allegorical interpretation of Noah’s Arc and the happenings related to it. The carried out analyses show that the figure of Noah’s Arc and the happenings related to it, served the bishop of Hippona to present the Church as a community composed of all nations of the world which are being incorporated in its organism after a previous conversion and receiving baptism as a result of proclamation the Gospel which should perform a priority role in the saving service of the Church. In Augustine’s opinion, the Church should be the place of proclamation the Truth, the teaching of which in the Church should be characterized by absolute fidelity to the Christian doctrine. What’s more, the Church is a community of saint and sinful people. It unceasingly undertakes strenuous efforts of moral cleaning, striving thereby for a growing moral perfection. That community is also characterized by awareness of a shared responsibility for the salvation of others, as well as by a conviction of the value of testifying to the holiness of life and the need of proclaiming the Word of God. These constitute an essential factor which mobilizes to a growing fidelity in fulfilling the will of God expressed in the commandments, and to undertaking a strenuous effort to proclaim the Gospel. The carried out analyses also allow to ascertain that the moral renewal undertaken by the members of the Church, should take place in accordance with the recommendations of Christ, and their progress in acquiring moral perfection does not remain without influence on perceiving the institution of the Church. Also obdurate sinners are members of the Church, those who, in spite of the words of encouragement addressed to them that they might start a way of fidelity to God, they put off the final decision of conversion, resigning in this way from the possibility of salvation, offered to them by God. The Church shown by means of an arc, is a Church unceasingly persecuted because it does not give consent to moral violations by the sinners, having a tolerating attitude toward them, in hope of their conversion. To Augustine’s vision of the Church belongs also his faithful safeguard of the Christian morality, as well as his fidelity in the service of proclaiming the Gospel. Both flow from the conviction of impossibility of one’s salvation outside the Church.

Brunovistulia is a composite terrane of Gondwana descent that eventually was accreted to the SW margin of Baltica, central Europe. It is built of metagneous and metasedimentary rocks that originated mainly between 650 and 550 Ma. However in the Upper Silesian part of Brunovistulia, much older fragments have been drilled, which yielded U-Pb zircon ages between 2.75 and 2.0 Ga. They have been interpreted as an “exotic” constituent of the Brunovistulia superterrane, named the Rzeszotary Terrane. Our geological and geochemical studies of the Rzeszotary borehole cores yielded new data on the composition, provenance and evolution of that terrane. Precursors of the Rzeszotary complex were separated from the depleted mantle prior to or around 3.2-3.0 Ga. At 2.75-2.6 Ga, a juvenile magmatic arc edifice formed, beneath which oceanic lithosphere was subducted. Decompression melting of the mantle brought about tholeiite magmas of IAT/MORB composition with LILE additions. Tonalitic and trondhjemitic precursors of gneisses present today were formed at that time, probably due to partial melting of mantle-derived wet basalts at the base of the island arc. Around 2.0 Ga, the arc collided with an unspecified cratonic mass and was subject to orogenic deformation, metamorphism and migmatization. The entire arc edifice was then strongly shortened and forced down to depths equivalent to ~6-12 kbar where the rocks underwent contractional deformation and metamorphism (~500-700°C). Tonalites and trondhjemites were changed to gneisses, and basites to epidote- and garnet amphibolites. These rocks underwent syntectonic migmatization through the mechanism of segregation/differentiation in the presence of fluids and incipient partial melting. Synmetamorphic shortening of the rock pile, which led to folding and heterogeneous development of shear zones with thrust kinematics, terminated with intrusions of K-granites at 2.0 Ga, being followed by some brittle-ductile deformation of unconstrained timing. The 2.0 Ga event may have been connected with the 2.1-1.8 Ga global amalgamation of the Paleoproterozoic supercontinent of Columbia. Later the future Rzeszotary terrane was detached from the Gondwana mainland, reassembled and eventually, in the Neoproterozoic, it became part of the foreland of the Cadomian Orogen in Central Europe.

W artykule omówiono genezę i uwarunkowania uruchomienia produkcji szyn tramwajowych naturalnie chłodzonych (bez obróbki cieplnej) w nowym gatunku stali. Przedstawiono także wyniki badań właściwości mechanicznych, twardości, oceny mikrostruktury, odporności na kruche pękanie i innych. Otrzymany poziom właściwości odniesiono do wymagań stawianych szynom obrobionym cieplnie w normie Europejskiej EN14811. Opisano także dobór technologii łączenia szyn przy użyciu spawania łukiem elektrycznym i spawania termitem.
In this article the origin and conditionings of the start of production grooved rails naturally cooled (without heat treatment) in a new steel grade are discussed. Results of mechanical properties, hardness, evaluation of microstructure, fracture toughness and others are presented. Received level of properties is related to the requirements of heat treated rails described in European standard EN14811. Selection of connection technology of rails using arc and thermite weld is also described.

In this study, FeCrC powder was alloyed on the surface of AISI 1030 steel with FeCrC powder having 70% Cr ratio with the Plasma Transferred Arc Welding Method. In the coating process performed with the Plasma Transferred Arc Welding Method, N2 gas at 1-3-5% ratio was added to the shielding gas. The coating layer was analysed using optical microscope (OM), scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffractogram (XRD) and X-ray energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS). As a result of optical microscope and microstructure analyses, it was determined that the coating layer and the sub-layer were connected to each other metallurgical and there were austenite ( γ), Fe-Cr, Fe23(C)6, and Cr7C3 phase and carbides and CrN in the structure.
W pracy badano nakładanie powłok z proszku FeCrC o zawartości 70% chromu na powierzchni stali AISI 1030 metodą PTA. W czasie nakładania powłoki zawartość azotu w gazie ochronnym wynosiła 1, 3, 5%. Uzyskane powłoki badane były za pomocą mikroskopii optycznej, skaningowej mikroskopii elektronowej, dyfrakcji rentgenowskiej i mikroanalizy rentgenowskiej. W oparciu o wyniki obserwacji i analiz mikrostruktury stwierdzono, że powłoka i warstwa pośrednia połączone są ze sobą metalurgicznie. Stwierdzono obecność austenitu, Fe-Cr, Fe23(C)6, Cr7C3 oraz węglików i CrN w mikrostrukturze.

Electric arc furnace has a variable power consumption with time that causes mechanical oscillations in the adjacent small scale synchronous generators, and consequently, decreases its life. In this paper, we first provide a model for electric arc furnace and is validated using actual measured data. In this paper a real distribution system consisting of the small scale synchronous generator, which feeds industrial loads, including electric arc furnaces, is analyzed and evaluated based on the simulation of the time domain. Using analytical studies and simulation results, the appropriate value for controller parameters of the prime mover is determined in such a way that the mechanical oscillations of the small scale synchronous generator created by the electric arc furnace are reduced. In addition, the response of the transient mode of the small scale synchronous generator is also considered in the proper setting of the parameters. Finally reliability and effectiveness of the proposed parameters are evaluated using real measurement data.

The infuence of ferric nitrate on the thermal stability of ammonium nitrate and emulsion matrix were used to study with Accelerating Rate Calorimeter (ARC) and constant temperature thermal decomposition experiment in this paper. It is shown that ferric nitrate has signifcant catalytic property to the ammonium nitrate and emulsion matrix, which decrease the initial decomposition temperature of ammonium nitrate by 60.16 C and emulsion matrix by 30.33 C. The results of the infuence of ferric nitrate on catalysis of ammonium nitrate using ARC and constant temperature thermal decomposition experiment are the same. The most probable mechanism function, activation energy and the preexponential factor of ammonium nitrate with ferric nitrate were determined to be f(α) = 1-α, E = 195.41 kJ/mol, A = 2.08×1019 s-1. The kinetics of ammonium nitrate decomposition can be used to calculate the critical temperatures for ammonium nitrate decomposition with and without the presence of ferric nitrate, based on the Frank-Kamenetskii model of thermal explosion. Furthermore, as the iron-plate experiment shows, ferric nitrate can signifcantly reduce the critical temperature of emulsion matrix decomposition. Once the ferric nitrate interfuses in the ammonium nitrate and emulsion matrix, the thermal stability of ammonium nitrate and emulsion matrix is decreasing.

The post-processing slags containing about 0.8 wt.% of copper were subjected to the treatment of a complex reagent. The chemical composition of the complex reagent has been elaborated and patented in frame of the Grant No. PBS3/A5/45/2015. The slags had an industrial origin and were delivered by the Smelter and Refinery Plant, Głogów, as a product of the direct-to-blister technology performed in the flash furnace assisted by the arc furnace. An agglomeration of copper droplets suspended in the liquid slag, their coagulation, and deposition on the bottom of furnace were observed after the treatment this post-processing slag by the mentioned reagent. The treatment of the post-processing slags by the complex reagent was performed in the arc furnace equipped with some additional electrodes situated at the furnace bottom (additional, in comparison with the arc furnace usually applied in the Smelter and Refinery Plant, Głogów). The behaviour of the copper droplets in the liquid slag within the competition between buoyancy force and gravity was studied from the viewpoint of the required deposition of coagulated copper droplets. The applied complex reagent improves sufficiently the surface free energy of the copper droplets. In the result, the mechanical equilibrium between coagulated copper droplets and surrounding liquid slag is properly modified. Eventually, sufficiently large copper droplets are subjected to a settlement on the furnace bottom according to the requirements. The agglomeration and coagulation of the copper droplets were significantly improved by an optimized tilting of the upper electrodes and even by their rotation. Moreover, the settlement was substantially facilitated and improved by the employment of both upper and lower system of electrodes with the simultaneous substitution of the variable current by the direct current.

Opis:
This paper outlines issues associated with gas-shielded braze welding of CU-ETP copper with austenitic steel X5CrNi18-10(1.4301) using a consumable electrode. The possibilities for producing joints of this type using innovative low-energy welding methods are discussed. The paper provides an overview of the results of metallographic and mechanical (static shear test, microhardness) tests for braze welded joints made on an automated station using the Cold Metal Transfer (CMT) method. Significant differences in the structure and mechanical properties are indicated, resulting from the joint configuration and the type of shielding gas (argon, helium).

Opis:
This paper presents and discusses results of analysis and investigations of arc to glow transformation phenomenon at contact opening, under DC inductive loads of low power (≤10 J) and low voltage (≤250 V). The proportion in duration of arcing and glowing is investigated in dependence on current and voltage value, contact material properties. The transition phenomenon is analyzed by means of fast photography and emission spectroscopy to complete the study. On the basis of investigated results the conclusions about the possibility of control of the arc to glow transformation for practical use in DC low voltage and low power electrical grids are formulated.
