Opis:
In this work, nanostructured La-based materials were produced by chemical precipitation method onto Cladosporium cladosporioides fungal hyphae in aqueous solution. Materials were annealed at various temperatures between 100°C-600°C. The morphological properties of the synthesized material were studied by transmission electron microscopy. The surface area for sample annealed at 360°C was determined to be 85.64 m²/g using Brunauer-Emmett-Teller method. The nitrogen adsorption and desorption isotherm displayed a typical type-IV isotherm. Electrochemical properties of produced material were studied using cyclic voltammetry, long term charge/discharge analysis and impedance spectroscopy in the 0.5 M Na₂SO₄ electrolyte. The obtained nanostructured porous electrode exhibits quasi-rectangular shaped cyclic voltammetry curves with a specific capacitance of 2190 F/g at a scan rate of 2 mV/s.

In this study, densely packed $Co_3O_4$ nanotubes for supercapacitors have been obtained by means of chemically depositing cobalt hydroxide within a porous anodic aluminum oxide and then annealed at 360°C. The morphological properties obtained $Co_3O_4$ nanotubes were studied by scanning electron microscopy, the chemical composition was determined by examination of the energy dispersive X-ray spectra. Supercapacitor characteristics such as charging/discharging and impedance (Z) characteristics were also examined.

The nickel oxide microtubes with high surface-to-volume ratio have been achieved using the Bacillus subtilis bacteria. Surface properties of the metal-oxide nanostructured materials were investigated by electron microscopy. The surface area of that was also studied by the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller analysis method. The materials were used at the construction of supercapacitor as an electrode active material.

Transparent supercapacitors were fabricated using nanostructures ZnO electrodes deposited using reactive magnetron sputtering. By fine tuning the deposition process parameters the electrodes with different morphologies were obtained, from hierarchical through sponge-like to nanocolumnar. The device performance related to the electrode morphology was assessed. It was found that the nanocolumnar electrodes provided best performance both in terms of effective device capacitance (18.3 μF/cm²) and transparency ( ≈ 100% in the visible range). The worst performance, with 80% lower effective capacitance, was obtained in the devices with the sponge-like morphology.

Amorphous carbon and NiO/carbon composites were used as an electrode material for supercapacitors. The investigations were performed to evaluate the influence of the Ar/$C_2H_2$ ratio on the capacitance values of carbon and NiO/carbon electrodes. The surface morphology of the carbon electrodes changes from snowflake-like to columnar with the increase of the Ar/$C_2H_2$ ratio. The Raman scattering spectroscopy results demonstrated that the $I_{D}//I_{G}$ ratio decreases from 1.33 to 0.91 with the increase of the Ar/$C_2H_2$ ratio. It indicates the decrease of the sp^2 bonded carbon in the coatings. The specific capacitance of the carbon electrodes increases with the increase of the Ar/$C_2H_2$ ratio. The NiO/carbon electrodes show capacitance values 10 times larger as those of carbon electrodes. The largest specific capacitance of 27.7 F/g was obtained for NiO/carbon electrode, when carbon coating was deposited under Ar/$C_2H_2$=27.

Electrochemical double-layer capacitor (also called supercapacitor) is an electrochemical energy storage device with a high power density, which could be used in application such as pulse power devices or electric vehicles. The paper describes construction of an electrochemical double-layer capacitor that consists of two electrodes immersed in an electrolyte with a separator between them. One electrode consists of a current collector in contact with the active material, while the other one is a counter electrode. Commercially available activated carbon (AC) material, composite $RuO_{2}$ + AC and natural copper sulfides are used as the active electrode material. Characterization has been performed by an electrochemical system fully developed at Technical Faculty in Bor. The system is based on a PC P4, a commercially available ADDA converter and an external interface for analog signal processing. The software platform is LabVIEW 8.2 package and application software is adapted to investigations of the systems containing high capacitances.

Crystalline La$\text{}_{x}$Sr$\text{}_{1-x}$MnO$\text{}_{3}$ was prepared by a hydrothermal route in the presence of surfactant. The cationic surfactant of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide as a template is used to regulate the nucleation and crystal growth. The as-synthesized product was characterized by X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. Nanosized and uniform rod-like monocrystals of La$\text{}_{x}$Sr$\text{}_{1-x}$MnO$\text{}_{3}$ were obtained. Their magnetic properties were studied using a vibrating sample magnetometer. Our results reveal that the use of surfactant helps to lower the processing temperature and to speed up the formation and crystallization of La$\text{}_{x}$Sr$\text{}_{1-x}$MnO$\text{}_{3}$. The surfactant also provides us an additional means of controlling the nanocrystalline size and maintaining the stoichiometry of the as-prepared nanocrystallites.
