Opis:
The main objective of this paper is to define a new method which is able to predict the electromagnetic emission of integrated circuits. In this study, a test circuit including the MC9S12XMAG-family microcontroller was designed and measurements were made to confirm the applied measurement techniques. Moreover, internal current was obtained from the measured external current which is described as a dynamic current activity on the die. The input impedance measurements were performed in the frequency range from 1 MHz to 2 GHz. The external current was measured by the spectrum analyzer has been used to obtain the internal current of the die. Extracted passive distribution network and internal activity component values have been given to obtain the integrated circuit emission model. The magnetic field is simulated at different frequencies and heights over the circuit under test. The model allows simulating the same magnetic field radiated by the component under test with the suficient accuracy for the application at any distance from the device under test. The model considers the component like a "black box", so that it can be applied to any passive or active component.

Opis:
In this paper, results of spectroscopic study of microwave (2.45 GHz) plasma at atmospheric pressure and high $CO_2$ flow rate are presented. The plasma was generated by waveguide-supplied nozzleless cylindrical type microwave plasma source. Working gas flow rate and microwave absorbed power varied from 50 up to 150 l/min and from 1 up to 5.5 kW, respectively. The emission spectra in the range of 300-600 nm were recorded. The rotational and vibrational temperatures of $C_2$ molecules, as well as the rotational temperature of OH radicals were determined by comparing the measured and simulated spectra. The plasma gas temperature inferred from rotational temperature of heavy species ranged from 4000 to 6000 K. It depended on location in plasma, microwave absorbed power and working gas flow rate. The presented microwave plasma source can be used in various gas processing applications.

Opis:
In this paper we have presented our simulation studies of 2.4 GHz microwave plasma production under the electron cyclotron resonance with an idea to expand the plasma generation conditions into the much lower pressure range and much shorter gap length. As the first for this purpose, we have focused on the influences of applied magnetic field, gas pressure and gap length on the breakdown and maintenance of plasmas. Calculations were performed by using a one-dimensional particle-in-cell/Monte Carlo collisions code with three velocity components. The obtained simulation results are in a good agreement with the available experimental data providing an insight into the resonant electron acceleration for ECR condition and the resonant electron confinement for the 2nd harmonic ECR. In addition, analytical expressions for the breakdown voltage and the trapping field have been derived.

Opis:
Calcium fluoride crystals doped with YbF$\text{}_{3}$ and co-doped with LiF and NaF were grown using the vertical Bridgman method. Several of rare-earth ions (such as Eu, Sm, Ho, Tm, and Yb) can be stabilized in the divalent state in the CaF$\text{}_{2}$. The change of valence was attained by various methods. The optical absorption spectra reveal the characteristic absorption bands of the Yb$\text{}^{3+}$ and Yb$\text{}^{2+}$ ions. This means that the developed crystal growth process achieves a good Yb$\text{}^{3+}$ to Yb$\text{}^{2+}$ conversion in the as-grown crystals. The influence of other impurities, such as Na$\text{}^{+}$ or Li$\text{}^{+}$, on the absorption and emission spectrum of YbF$\text{}_{3}$-doped CaF$\text{}_{2}$ was studied. The Li$\text{}^{+}$ and Na$\text{}^{+}$ ions drastically decrease the absorption coefficient of the Yb$\text{}^{2+}$ ions in the UV band and the emission intensity by excitation in 230 nm.

Opis:
Optical absorption and emission spectroscopy together with low energy electron interaction (elastic scattering, excitation, ionization, resonances) with biologically relevant molecules (nitrogen, oxygen, water, alcohols, tetrahydrofuran, tetrahydrofurfuril alcohol, 3-hydroxytetrahydrofuran, pyrimidine, glycine, alanine) are studied in order to understand radiation damage and to investigate the presence of pollutants in the atmosphere. Versatile high resolution electron spectrometers are used in the present study of electron-molecule interactions. Energy loss spectra were recorded for these molecules in order to identify electronic transitions from ground state to both allowed and optically forbidden states. Optical emission spectra have been recorded from gas discharge processes by low resolution optical spectrometer (Ocean Optics 2000). Also, electronic spectra were compared with high resolution synchrotron photoabsorption spectra where these spectra had been available. Experimental methods of absorption-based laser spectroscopy were reviewed being of the most widely used analytical tools for detection of a specific molecule and quantitative measurements, based on the Beer-Lambert absorption law.
