Despite new technological solutions and attempts to improve the working conditions during driving of vehicles, city bus drivers are still exposed to negative impacts of noise and vibrations, causing stress, increased fatigue and leads to numerous diseases. Therefore it seems merited to investigate the acoustic climate and the working conditions during the operation of Solaris Urbino 18 vehicles, widely used in public transport systems. The main purpose of this research program was to show the impacts that the conditions at work might have on bus drivers or to demonstrate that these impacts do not exist. No extensive major research was done to investigate the influence of the conditions at work on functional stability of bus drivers. Investigation of vehicle vibroacoustic climate in working (normal) environment are led rarely. Measurements often are done in idle run or during ride at manoeuvring site only for 2-3 min. In this paper results of acceleration and noise in idle run are presented for 3 min measurement and for 3 h until ride. All measurements are done in working environment on streets of Tychy city with passengers on board. In this paper detailed numerical analysis of vibroacoustic parameters are presented. Physical parameters like noise spectral analysis in 1/3 octave frequency bands and histogram of acoustic pressure level in the driver's cabin are presented in results.

We study the scattering of torsional waves through a quasi-one-dimensional cavity both from the experimental and theoretical points of view. The experiment consists of an elastic rod with square cross-section. In order to form a cavity, a notch at a certain distance of one end of the rod was grooved. To absorb the waves, at the other side of the rod, a wedge, covered by an absorbing foam, was machined. In the theoretical description, the scattering matrix S of the torsional waves was obtained. The distribution of S is given by Poisson's kernel. The theoretical predictions show an excellent agreement with the experimental results. This experiment corresponds, in quantum mechanics, to the scattering by a delta potential, in one dimension, located at a certain distance from an impenetrable wall.

Opis:
Theoretical investigation of acoustic field in a tellurium two-coordinate deflector was carried out. We used angular spectrum method supported by consideration to boundary conditions in approximation of a given displacement to calculate spatial distribution of the acoustic field intensity. Volumetric illustration is presented for the acoustic beam launched from YZ face of the crystal. Cross-sections of the acoustic field generated from XZ face are also presented in the work. It is shown that the strong anisotropy of acoustic properties in the Te crystal leads to principally different structure of the two fields excited from the XZ and YZ crystal faces. The acoustic field excited from the XZ face may be considered as a simple beam with a relatively high divergence. On the other hand, the field generated from the YZ face looks like superposition of two beams with relatively low divergence. Ratio of intensities of the two beams generated by longitudinal piezotransducers is equal to the ratio predicted by analysis based by plane-wave theory.
