Opis:
Positron emission tomography is an imaging method which plays an important role in the diagnosis and monitoring of cancer cells using radioactive substances. In this study (p,n) reaction cross sections of some radionuclides (Cu-61, Ga-66, Br-76) were calculated using Talys 1.6 nuclear simulation code. The calculated cross-sections were compared with experimental values taken from EXFOR.

Opis:
Many radioisotopes are used in nuclear medicine diagnostics and therapy. Co-57, In-111 and Tc-99m isotopes are widely used in nuclear medicine and are successfully implemented in renal imaging. In this work, the cross section calculation of the (p, 2n) reaction, which is necessary for production of the nuclei of Co-57, In-111, Tc-99m, were calculated using TALYS 1.6 nuclear reaction code. The calculated cross sections were compared with the experimental data from the EXFOR.

Opis:
In general, the deep understanding of proton-induced reactions is a crucial step for the further development of nuclear reactions theory. However there has been an interesting focus in nuclear physics. Some applications require accurate nuclear reaction data of common cross sections and especially need the data of neutron and proton induced energy-angle correlated spectra of secondary particles, as well as double differential cross sections. Double-differential nucleon-production cross-sections of ⁵⁶Fe, ⁶³Cu and ⁹⁰Zr targets, bombarded with protons are calculated based on the nuclear theoretical models. Monte Carlo calculations with the TALYS 1.6 nuclear reaction simulation code are performed. Theoretical calculated results are compared with existing experimental data in EXFOR library.

Opis:
Knowledge of the cross sections of reactions of charged particles with target material is needed to understand well the mechanisms of nuclear reactions. One of the main application fields of nuclear technology and nuclear reactions is medicine. Radioisotopes are used in medicine and production of these radioisotopes is important. In the production processes, the cross sections must be known. For this purpose, in this study, theoretical cross sections of production of In isotopes by alpha irradiation have been calculated using Talys 1.6 nuclear reaction simulation code. The obtained results are compared with the existing experimental data.

The Cu₇₀Co₃₀ alloy was developed by a non-equilibrium method of "mechanical alloying", from a mixture of copper powder and pure cobalt. The nanostructured alloy Cu-Co with grains with a size of about 12 nm, has different electromagnetic properties which are often superior to those of conventional solid alloy, because of the critical size effect. In this work we are interested in the electromagnetic properties of the synthesized material. Resistivity, eddy current and the magnetization evolution were studied. The frequencies selected for plotting the diagram vary from 100 Hz to 100 kHz. To satisfy the Weiss condition, the excitation field must be of the same order of magnitude as the field that characterizes the area of Weiss. For all prepared series, the evolution of the magnetization as a function of milling time was analyzed. The influence of milling time on the resistivity variation is shown.

Opis:
The judge and savior of Israel in the “cycle of Samson” lacks the traits usually attributed to these figures: rather than deliver Israel, Samson is pursuing his own personal vendetta. In addition, the story of his birth (Judges 13) not only disrupts the habitual pattern in the stories of the various judges (the corruption of the Israelites, the description of the oppressor, then the cry of the people and finally the intervention God to raise up the savior), but it also creates a strong contrast with the entire cycle where his figure is underlined, over and above any religious component. This study stems from an attempt to discover the particular traits and purpose of such an unusual and extraordinary story as Jud 13. The work consists of five parts, and with regard to the exegetical method, the analysis of the text follows the synchronic criteria of narrative analysis; preliminary considerations, temporal indications, study of the performance of plots and purpose of the story. In conclusion, a few titles incorporating the most significant aspects of the story, which emerged during the analysis are presented.

In this study, chitosan coatings were electrophoretically deposited (EPD) on near-β Ti-13Nb-13Zr alloy. The influence of colloidal solution composition and EPD parameters on the quality of chitosan coatings was investigated. It was established that the uniformity of as-deposited chitosan coatings is highly dependent on the chemical composition of the solution used for EPD, the pH, electrophoretic mobility and zeta potential of chitosan colloidal molecules, as well as EPD parameters, such as potential difference value and deposition time. The microstructure of the coatings was investigated using electron microscopy and X-ray diffractometry. The coatings 350 nm thick were homogeneous and exhibited an amorphous structure. The coatings had low hardness and Young’s modulus. The effect of surface of the substrate preparation prior to coating deposition on the adhesion of chitosan coatings to the Ti-13Nb-13Zr alloy was also investigated. The coatings exhibited good adhesion to the non-acid-etched surface of the titanium alloy.

The author is dealing with the profession of faith in Hbr 13, 8. In the first part he shows the way contemporary exegesis approaches the understanding of this text. This way can be reduced to an answer to the following question: what did the formulation from Hbr 13, 8 mean for the auther at that time? The second part presents the standpoint held by the exegetes of the ancient Church. It tums out that the ancient church commentators lay down the problem differently. For they ask: what do the words (Hbr 13, 8) mean for a Christian in general? What do they mean especially for the Christian today, when he confronts the ideas of Arianism, Nestorianism, and others not so well defined erroneous views? Origen, for instance, perceives in the formulation a confirmation of the very popular in those days views held by the philosophy of history about particular epochs in the history o f salvation. It is in Hbr 13, 8 that Athanasy saw the knowledge about the invariability of the Word in the mystery of the Incarnation. The Greek Fathers (St. Gregory Nazianzen) read out the formulation as a concise reminder of the unity of the divine and human attributes in Jesus Christ. Now the argument with Nestor brought to mind Hbr 13, 8 as the text about the unity of two natures: divine and human in one person of the Word (Cyril o f Alexandria). In the third part the author attempts to notice what hints there are for contemporary exegesis from the manner in which it was pursued by the great teachers of the ancient Church.
