Opis:
The perturbation to the Noether symmetry and the Noether adiabatic invariants of discrete difference variational Hamilton systems are investigated. The discrete the Noether exact invariant induced directly by the the Noether symmetry of the system without perturbation is given. The concept of discrete high-order adiabatic invariant is presented, the criterion of the perturbation to the Noether symmetry is established, and the discrete the Noether adiabatic invariant induced directly by the perturbation to the Noether symmetry is obtained. Lastly, an example is discussed to illustrate the application of the results.

Field reports from past earthquakes indicate that liquid storage tanks are quite susceptible to earthquake related damages due to the sloshing motion of the contained liquid and that the failure of these structures can have catastrophic impacts on the environment in addition to significant financial losses. Recently, the use of seismic response modification strategies such as base isolation and energy dissipation systems have been extended to liquid storage tanks, particularly large liquified natural gas tanks, in order to protect them from the damaging effects of earthquakes. Base isolation involves the installation of horizontally flexible base isolation bearings under the liquid storage tanks to extend the vibration period of the structure and to provide an additional mechanism for energy dissipation. This paper investigates the effects of the variation of mechanical properties of lead-core elastomeric base isolation bearings on the dynamic response of liquid storage tanks through a comprehensive parametric study which was conducted with a script that uses the Matlab state-space solvers. The paper begins by outlining the mechanical analogue system to be used for calculating the overturning moment and the base shear in tank wall as well as the free surface displacements for a cylindrical liquid storage tank subjected to horizontal base excitation. The nonlinear force-displacement characteristics of the bearings are modelled with the Bouc-Wen hysteresis model. Results of the parametric study show that base isolation can be effective at decreasing the base shear and that special attention must be paid to the increases in the sloshing displacements in determining the freeboard height.

Opis:
The discrete analogue of the Noether-type identities in field theory is investigated by means of the difference discrete variational principle in which the difference is regarded as an entire geometric object. The discrete counterparts of the Noether theorems are obtained. It is proved that there exists the discrete version of the Noether conservation law in field theory. The discretization for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation is presented to illustrate the results.

Secondly, both criterion of perturbation to the Noether symmetry and the Noether adiabatic invariants of system are obtained. Finally, an example is given to illustrate these results.

Opis:
In this study, 1.2333 cold work tool steel and cast iron (GG 25) were simultaneously melted in different furnaces to fabricate composite die mold used in sheet metal forming industry. To enhance the metallurgical bond between two components of composite part, the pouring temperature of cast iron was assessed just above the solidus temperature, then metallurgically prepared cast iron was poured on to the cast tool steel. The temperature and casting parameters were monitored and simulated. Experimental and simulation results were compared, finally the optimum parameters and casting route were revealed.

Conformal invariance and conserved quantities of the Mei symmetry for the Lagrange systems under the infinitesimal transformation of groups are studied. Firstly, the definition of conformal invariance of the Mei symmetry is given, together with its criterion equations and determining equations. Then the systems' conserved quantities are obtained using the structure equation satisfied by the gauge function. Lastly, an example is taken to illustrate the application of the result.

Opis:
Conformal invariance and conserved quantities of Hamilton system under second-class Mei symmetry are studied. The single-parameter infinitesimal transformation group and infinitesimal transformation vector of generator are introduced. The definitions about conformal invariance of Hamilton function and conformal invariance of Hamilton system under second-class Mei symmetry are given. The relationship between the system's conformal invariance and Mei symmetry are discussed. The necessary and sufficient condition that the system's conformal invariance would be Mei symmetry is deduced. The system's corresponding conserved quantities are obtained with the aid of a structure equation which is satisfied by the gauge function. Lastly, an example is provided to illustrate the application of the result.
