Electron and phonon distribution in momentum space is modeled using Monte Carlo method. Calculated LO phonon distribution in zinc-blende GaN deviates dramatically from the thermal equilibrium (Planck) function, and well coincides with the phonon number elucidated from the existing anti-Stokes Raman scattering experiments.

Transport coefficients for electrons in mixtures of $CF_{4}$ with Ar and $O_{2}$ for ratios of the electric field to the gas number density E/N from 1 Td to 1000 Td ($1Td=10^{-21} V m^2$) are presented. The analysis of non-conservative collisions revealed a range of the reduced electric field E/N where electron attachment introduced by radicals significantly changes electron kinetics obtained for mixtures without dissociation of $CF_{4}$ gas. The results obtained by using a simple, Two Term solutions for Boltzmann's equation are verified by Monte Carlo simulations. It was found that three body attachments for oxygen is not significant for pressures that are standard in plasma etching equipment i.e. below 1 Torr. Furthermore, the attachment to CF, $CF_{2}$ and $CF_{3}$ at low mean energies is significant, several orders of magnitude. At the same time the mean energy and energy distribution functions for the given E/N are the same as in unperturbed gas mixture. The large changes of the attachment rate are sufficient to change the nature of plasmas and turn them into ion-ion plasmas with very few electrons for realistic abundances.

Opis:
$H_{α}$ emission profiles were calculated for the high E/N (electric field E to gas density N ratio) Townsend discharges in pure hydrogen. Heavy particle collisions including the fast neutrals and interactions with the cathode surface are also included. The basic data were chosen to be in accordance with those used by Phelps. Monte Carlo simulation technique employing null collision method was used to follow electrons and heavy particles between collisions with $H_2$ or with surface for the conditions of a high E/N. Trajectories of reaction fragments are followed after the collision until their neutralization or thermalization down to the threshold of $H_{α}$ excitation. We obtained spatially resolved emission profiles and the Doppler broadened line profiles for the conditions of the experiment of Petrović and Phelps. Intensity of the Doppler profile wing showing $H_{α}$ emission of particles emerging from the cathode direction is obtained assuming that the reflection coefficient of the fast H atoms depends on the incident angle and on energy of the incident particle.

Opis:
Photoinduced spin-charge dynamics in strongly correlated electron systems is studied based on an extended double-exchange model. Solving a time-dependent Schrödinger equation with the Lanczos method, we trace the process of photoinduced melting of an antiferromagnetic charge order and analyze the excitation-density dependence on that. In the case of low density photoexcitation, both charge and spin orders are melted by photocarrier doping. This is interpreted with a conventional double-exchange mechanism. In the case of high density photoexcitation, however, the charge order is melted. The antiferromagnetic spin order is transiently weakened but after turnoff of the photoirradiation it recovers. This phenomenon strikingly differs from the weak photoexcitation case.

Opis:
We analyze 2-dimensional chaotic forms resulting from very simple systems based on two chaotic characteristics that is rotation and parallel movement or translation in geometric terms. Reflection is another alternative, along with rotation, for several interesting chaotic formations. Rotation and translation are very common types of movements in the world around us. Chaotic or non-chaotic forms arise from these two main generators. The rotation-translation chaotic case presented is based on the theory we analyzed in the book and in the paper. An overview of the chaotic flows in rotation-translation is given. There is observed the presence of chaos when discrete rotation-translation equation forms are introduced. In such cases the continuous equations analogue of the discrete cases is useful. Characteristic cases and illustrations of chaotic attractors and forms are analyzed and simulated. The analysis of chaotic forms and attractors of the models presented is given along with an exploration of the characteristic or equilibrium points. Applications in the fields of astronomy-astrophysics (galaxies), chaotic advection (the sink problem) and Von Karman streets are presented.

Opis:
In this work we present electron transport coefficients for electrons in $Ar//H_2$ mixtures for the conditions used in plasma assisted technologies for semiconductor production i.e. in moderate to very high reduced electric field E/N (E - electric field, N - gas density). We used a two term numerical solution of the Boltzmann equation at the lowest E/N and mean energies and also Monte Carlo simulation technique at moderate and high E/N. We show that a good agreement with experimental data exists for low and moderate E/N and that based on the tests for pure $H_2$ and Ar we can model properly the high E/N development. Results were obtained for abundances of $H_2$ from 1% to 50%. Such data are required to test the sets of cross-section data which are necessary in kinetic models for this mixture and also to produce transport coefficients for fluid models. Hydrogen is used for etching of organic compounds, most importantly low k dielectrics, at the same time argon as a buffer gas is added to control the mean energy and distribution function. Besides, operation at high E/N allows the generation of fast neutrals for charging free etching on nanometer scales.

We present the new results for the simple scattering cross-section set and proposed transport coefficients for $F^{-}$ ions in $F_2$ that can be used in such models. Nanbu's theory based on thermodynamic threshold energies and separating elastic and reactive collisions is used to calculate cross-sections for binary collisions of ions with atoms and molecules. Direct MC method is applied to obtain swarm parameters at temperature of T = 300 K.

Opis:
The ratio of the magnetic moment and charge of a proton when multiplied by the viscosity of water results in forces that when applied over the distance of O-H bonds provides quantum increments in the order of 10-20 J. Precise coefficients of this order of magnitude are consistent with the mechanisms associated with proton (H+) mobility and duration of the hydronium atom. When applied to aggregate properties of water that involve exclusion zones defined by boundaries containing marked proton density and coherent domains within which specific patterns of applied magnetic fields can be contained for protracted periods, these intrinsic properties suggest that the major features of the cell plasma membrane and living systems can be accommodated by proton movements within water. Water exposed in the dark to weak magnetic fields displayed a ~10 nm shift in peak wavelength as measured by a fluorescence spectrophotometer. Given the persistent emergence of 10-20 J as a functional unit of energy across the universe, the physical significance of the interaction between weak, temporally patterned magnetic fields and the organization of water within astronomical and abiogenic contexts may have been underestimated.

Opis:
The gravitational force between the mass of an average mammalian cell and the earth is in the order of a picoNewton. When applied across the plasma membrane the energy is within the domain of 10-20 J that is associated with the distance between forces of ions that are correlated with the membrane potential. Solutions for velocity and acceleration are congruent with known properties of the ion channel and cell membrane. The differences in gravitational forces between lunar perigee and apogee are within the 10-20 J range when applied across distances that constitute neuronal processes. Calculations of the ratio of gravitational force to a specific range of intensities of rotating experimental magnetic fields produce equivalent electric dipole moments (A∙m) that are within the same order of magnitude as that measured for single post-synaptic potentials. These values match the energies associated with pressures within the cell volume according to Borowski’s gravitational theory. The solutions may explain a robust behavioral effect reported over 40 years ago that indicated a powerful interaction between forces associated with lunar distances at the birth of rats exposed prenatally to rotating magnetic fields. Although the energies may be small the contributions from subtle changes in gravitational forces are within the operative range for those that influence cell function.
