Opis:
We analyze the behavior of quantum dynamical entropies production from sequences of quantum approximants approaching their (chaotic) classical limit. The model of the quantized hyperbolic automorphisms of the 2-torus is examined in detail and a semi-classical analysis is performed on it using coherent states, fulfilling an appropriate dynamical localization property. Correspondence between quantum dynamical entropies and the Kolmogorov-Sinai invariant is found only over timescales that are logarithmic in the quantization parameter.

Opis:
The 19c. physics is a cognitive archetype of contemporary economics, where static, linear, closed systems that head for thermodynamic equilibrium were of great importance. In this standard of scientific knowledge were included selfish aspirations of agents, which served to prove stability of market equilibrium. The strive of entrepreneurs after profit maximization brings economic systems to a stable Cournot-Nash state of equilibrium, which is determined by the point of crossing of reaction curves. This type of reasoning still sets standards for education of microeconomics. Meanwhile, numerical explorations of simple, standard, nonlinear models of oligopoly prove that Cournot-Nash points are stable only over shortest periods. These are periods in which variables are changing (production values), and parameters (marginal costs) remain constant. According to a convention adopted in economics, in short periods various kinds of costs can change, including marginal costs. The only unchanging category in these periods are fixed costs. The postulate of profit maximization induces entrepreneurs to lower marginal costs. It provokes drifting of markets along short-term equilibrium states towards states of higher complexity. States far from equilibrium are natural market states. It contradicts the basics of traditional microeconomics. Selfish aspirations of agents do not guarantee stability of market equilibrium.

Opis:
The simple 3D-chaotic dynamics of an autonomous oscillator circuit was studied by measuring its responsible in the form of phase-portrait, power spectrum and chaotic time series. The new realization combines attractive features of the current feedback op-amp operating in both voltage and current modes to construct the active linear negative conductance. The component count is reduced and the chaotic spectrum is extended to higher frequencies. In addition, a buffered and isolated voltage output directly representing a state variable is made available. The circuit consists of just three linear elements (two capacitors and one inductor), one linear negative conductance and two ideal diodes. The power spectra are presented to confirm the strong chaotic nature of the oscillations of the circuit. The performance of the circuit is investigated by means of experimental simulation and numerical confirmation of the appropriate differential equations. The features of the obtained results are respected for various engineering systems such as chaos communication systems with robustness against various interferences.

Opis:
The recent paper by Hul et al. (Phys. Rev. Lett. 109, 040402 (2012)}, see Ref. [7]) addresses an important mathematical problem whether scattering properties of wave systems are uniquely connected to their shapes? The analysis of the isoscattering microwave networks presented in this paper indicates a negative answer to this question. In this paper the sensitivity of the spectral properties of the networks to boundary conditions is tested. We show that the choice of the proper boundary conditions is extremely important in the construction of the isoscattering networks.

The considered chaotic oscillator consists of an amplifier, 2nd order LC resonator, Schottky diode and an extra capacitor in parallel to the diode. The diode plays the role of a nonlinear device. Chaotic oscillations are demonstrated numerically and experimentally at low as well as at high megahertz frequencies, up to 250 MHz.

We demonstrate both experimentally and numerically that slow recovery p -n junction diodes can be exploited to generate chaos at high megahertz frequencies. An extremely simple resonator consisting of an inductor in parallel with a diode when externally periodically driven exhibits chaotic response.
