Opis:: The reference point for deliberations is constituted by two documents: the Apostolic Constitution of Francis Episcopalis communio and the final document of XV General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops dedicated to the problems of young people Young People, the Faith, and Vocational Discernment. The synodal document presented the issues which were not discussed during the synodal sessions and concern the synodal path of the Church. The author reflects on common elements of both documents and interprets each of them in the light of the other one. He highlights the element of discernment of gifts, charisms, and conscience, which determine the position of the faithful in the ecclesial community and influence the bonds between them and the pastors of the Church. Extending the area of implementation of the synodal character of the Church allows the author to ask the question about the model of the presence of the Church in the world. The author points out similarities between the synodal way and the methodology of ecumenical dialogue, which may affect summoning of the Synod dedicated to ecumenical issues.

Opis:: W październiku 2018 roku miałem okazję uczestniczyć w Światowym Synodzie Biskupów w Rzymie, który zgromadził się pod tytułem: „Młodzi, wiara i rozeznanie powołania”. Liczni biskupi i przełożeni zakonni z całego świata, doradcy – a przede wszystkim młodzi ludzie – spędzili miesiąc na dyskusji o tym, jak można dziś być i żyć Kościołem razem z młodymi ludźmi – i być ich towarzyszami w drodze do życia, do wiary i do odnalezienia swojego powołania.
Bishop Stefan Oster, a member of the german Synodal Path, gives an insight into his critical view of the reform project and recalls the standards of the scholastic theological disputation, which first embraces the arguments of the opponents and only afterwardsenters into a critical debate with them. His suggestion ist, that renewal and spiritual conversion should come first and foremoste from the encounter with the living Christ.

Opis:: The „Synodal Path”, launched in 2019 in the Catholic Church in Germany, as a forum for discussion and reflection of clergy and lay people, representatives of the hierar chy and associations, carries out detailed work on four areas of the Church's life and activity. Established synodal commissions (forums) work on-site and online, depending on pandemic conditions. The pandemic, on the other hand, showed even more the internal and pastoral problems that the Catholic Church in Germany has been struggling with for a long time. Pope Francis is a supporter of a synodal process in the universal and local Church, in order to diagnose individual issues concerning faith and morality, so that the Church community could be more vital, with a better outlined mission and awareness of presence in the modern world. He points out, however, that the synodality of the Church cannot mean some form of parliamentarism, but must mean a common journey and listening to the inspirations of the Holy Spirit. Using all methods of cognition and reasoning, discourse and dispute, the Gospel should be made more understandable, and its implementation should be aimed at seeking and finding more and more appropriate approaches to universal and permanent moral norms, so that they would better correspond to diferent cultural contexts, so that they would be able to better express their invariable timeliness in every historical context, so that they would allow the correct understanding and interpretation of the truth contained in them.
„Droga Synodalna”, rozpoczęta w 2019 roku w Kościele katolickim w Niemczech, jako forum dyskusji i refleksji duchownych i osób świeckich, przedstawicieli hierarchii i stowarzyszeń, prowadzi szczegółowe prace dotyczące czterech obszarów życia i działania Kościoła. Ukonstytuowane komisje (fora) synodalne pracują w trybie stacjonarnym i online, zależnie od warunków pandemicznych. Pandemia natomiast ukazała jeszcze bardziej problemy wewnętrzne i duszpasterskie, z którymi boryka się od dawna Kościół katolicki w Niemczech. Papież Franciszek jest zwolennikiem procesu synodalnego w Kościele powszechnym jak i lokalnym, w celu diagnozowania poszczególnych kwestii dotyczących wiary i moralności, aby wspólnota Kościoła była bardziej żywotna, z lepszą wyprofilowaną misją i świadomością obecności w świecie współczesnym. Zaznacza on jednak, że synodalność Kościoła nie może oznaczać jakiejś formy parlamentaryzmu, lecz musi oznaczać wspólną drogę i wsłuchiwanie się w natchnienia Ducha Świętego. Korzystając z wszelkich metod poznawania i rozumowania, dyskursu i sporu, powinno się uczynić Ewangelię bardziej zrozumiałą, a jej implementacja zmierzała do poszukiwania i znajdywania coraz właściwsze ujęcia uniwersalnych i trwałych norm moralnych, aby bardziej odpowiadały one różnym kontekstom kulturowym, by zdolne były lepiej wyrażać ich niezmienną aktualność w każdym kontekście historycznym, by pozwalały prawidłowo rozumieć i interpretować zawartą w nich prawdę.

Opis:: “Synodality is a style, it is walking together, and it is what the Lord expects of the Church in the third millennium” (Francis). The specific motto and wording of this study in the quoted “programme” thought of Pope Francis, articulated in the Address to Members of the International Theological Commission (2019). The Pope expresses appreciation for the extensive work of the Commission crowned with the “theological clarification” of the mentioned idea, and above all by demonstrating the importance in the perception of the mission of the Church today. If, in the opinion of the Holy Father, factual and competent expert argumentation, step by step, reveals the truth that “a synodal Church is a Church of participation and co-responsibility,” such a determination cannot remain without impact on the praxis of undertaking the most serious pastoral challenges of the present time — on various levels of realization: local, regional, and universal, including ecumenical commitment. This applies in its entirety to the creation of strategies and specific actions of the Church towards the growing phenomenon of human mobility, especially in its forms that manifest themselves as dramatic and devastating to families and individuals. What we mean here is the Church’s multi-track postulate — or more precisely: communion, synodal — efficiency (with its determinants: dynamics, efficiency, effectiveness), for which in 2016 Francis coined the term: “accompanying migrants”. Consequently, in recent years there have been a number of normative and operational activities of the present successor of St. Peter, which in our time — rightly called: “the era of migration” (Francis) — set a new trend of clothing/embellishing the aforementioned critical area of salus animarum with synodal accents. As it is showed in the study, a canonist, with the horizon of the principle of ius sequitur vitam before his eyes, cannot remain passive towards the pressing challenges delineated here. Indeed, within the orbit of the study of canon law a weighty question appears — what conclusions of a canonical nature stem from the “millennium” project of the realization of the Synodal Church Idea.
