    The manuscript gall. fol. 220 belongs to the Berlin Collection of Jagiellonian Library in Cracow. It is a French-speaking set of recipes from the 16th century. This old cookbook is not well known and has never been published. In this manuscript can be found plenty of dishes, products popular in the Middle Ages, but also such recipes that indicate the presence of new renaissance French cuisine.

    Przedmiotem zainteresowania w artykule jest XVIII-wieczna nowobułgarska wersja żywota świętej Paraskiewy-Petki Tyrnowskiej autorstwa bułgarskiego patriarchy Eutymiusza (XIV w.), zamieszczona w słabo zbadanym damaskinie berlińskim przechowywanym obecnie w Bibliotece Jagiellońskiej w Krakowie (tzw. kolekcja berlińska) pod sygnaturą Berol. Ms. Slav. Fol. 36; karty 180–187r. Analiza dotyczy aspektu genologicznego i tematycznego utworu w kontekście twórczości damaskinarskiej wieków XVI – XVIII. Główna uwaga skupia się na zawartości tekstu, transformacji retoryczno-stylistycznej (redukcja, obniżenie stylu) oryginału i nowych komponentach. Za najciekawszy element struktury uznano dodatki tekstologiczne związane z wędrówką relikwii Paraskiewy z Bułgarii przez Serbię do Grecji i Mołdawii, które pozwalają zaliczyć krakowski wariant żywota do mołdawskiej redakcji hagiograficznej.
    The subject of interest in the article is the eighteenth-century New Bulgarian version of the Hagiography of Saint Paraskeva-Petka of Tarnovo by the Bulgarian Patriarch Euthymius (14th century), included in the poorly researched „Berlin Damaskin” currently stored in the Jagiellonian Library in Krakow (the so-called Berlin Collection) under the reference number Berol. Ms. Slav. fol. 36; cards 180–187v. The analysis concerns the genological and thematic aspect of the manuscript in the context of the ‘damaskin’ literature (Bulg. дамаскини) of the 16th–18th centuries. The main attention is focused on the content of the text, rhetorical-stylistic transformation (reduction, lowering of style) of the original and its new components. The most interesting element of the structure are the textological additions related to the journey of Paraskeva’s relics from Bulgaria through Serbia to Greece and Moldova, which make it possible to include the Krakow variant of the Petka Life in the Moldovan hagiographic redaction.

    Opis:
    This article provides basic information about one of the major projects currently run by the Jagiellonian Library. This project, created and directed by Dr. Jacek Partyka from the Jagiellonian Library, was started in February 2013 and will last for three years, until February 2016. This project has been given the whole financial asset that it required and involves the work of a large team of high-class specialist in the field. The aim of the project is to conduct a thorough research on the so-called ‘Berlin collection’ (Berlinka) with the aim of deciphering the provenance notes on the Polonica. It will cover early printed books, manuscripts, musical prints and autographs, as well as modern books, and newspapers. All these objects will be catalogued, scanned, and eventually published in Jagiellonian Digital Library, which is the largest digital library in Poland. Thanks to this, they will become available to researchers worldwide.

    Le manuscrit Gall. Fol. 220 est un recueil de recettes de cuisine, conservé dans la collection berlinoise à la Bibliothèque Jagellonne de Cracovie. C’est un livre anonyme, qui provient du XVIe siècle, écrit en français.Nous y trouvons beaucoup de plats et de produits déjà populaires au Moyen Âge, mais on peut aussi apercevoir des recettes pour les plats caractéristiques de la Renaissance. Après avoir analysé la terminologie culinaire présente dans ce recueil, on peut constater qu’on y trouve quelques termes germaniques. Dans cet article, nous voulons présenter les termes culinaires qui sont de provenance germanique et expliquer pourquoi ces types de mots se trouvent dans ce type de texte usuel, et, ainsi, dans la langue française.
    Rękopis Gall. Fol. 220 jest zbiorem przepisów kulinarnych, przechowywanym obecnie w kolekcji berlińskiej w Bibliotece Jagiellońskiej w Krakowie. Jest to anonimowa księga pochodząca z szesnastego wieku, napisana w języku francuskim. Znajdujemy w niej przepisy na wiele dań popularnych już w Średniowieczu, jednak możemy również zauważyć dania charakterystyczne dla epoki Renesansu. Po analizie terminologii kulinarnej obecnej w manuskrypcie należy zwrócić uwagę na obecność germanizmów. W niniejszym artykule zamierzamy przedstawić terminy kucharskie pochodzenia germańskiego i wyjaśnić, dlaczego słowa pojawiają się w tego typu zbiorze, mającym charakter książki użytkowej.
    The manuscript Gall. Fol. 220 is a collection of recipes, preserved in the Berlin collection at the Jagiellonian Library in Krakow. It is an anonymous book, which comes from the sixteenth century, written in French. It contains many dishes and products popular already in the Middle Ages, but also the recipes for dishes typical of the Renaissance. After analyzing the culinary terminology present in this collection, we can see that there are some Germanic terms. In this article, we intend to present the cooking terms that are of Germanic origin and explain why the words appear in this type of collection, which has the character of a reference book in the French language.

    Rękopis Gall. Fol. 220 pochodzi z kolekcji berlińskiej w Bibliotece Jagiellońskiej w Krakowie. Jest to francuskojęzyczny zbiór przepisów kulinarnych, powstałych w drugiej połowie XVI wieku. Owa książka kucharska nie jest dobrze znana i nie została dotychczas opublikowana. Od strony kulinarnej znajdujemy w niej wiele różnorodnych przepisów łączących kuchnię średniowieczną z nowościami, które przybyły w epoce Renesansu. Spotykamy także dania międzynarodowe pochodzące z pogranicza francusko-hiszpańskiego bądź francusko-włoskiego. Zauważamy wzrost spożycia słodyczy i rozwój cukiernictwa, ale również coraz większe zainteresowanie przyrządzaniem warzyw i różnych rodzajów i części mięsa. Zaś od strony językowej rękopis prezentuje liczne nowości w słownictwie kulinarnym: nienotowaną dotąd grafię terminów kulinarnych, użycie ich w nowym, nieznanym znaczeniu, powstanie zupełnie nowych jednostek leksykalnych oraz zapożyczenia z języka niderlandzkiego.
    El manuscrito de Gall. Fol. 220 proviene de la colección berlinesa que ésta disponible en la Biblioteca Jaguelónica de Cracovia. Es un conjunto de recetas francófonas, escritas en la segunda mitad del siglo XVI. Hasta ahora no se ha publicado este manuscrito y hay poca gente que lo conozca. Desde la perspectiva culinaria encontramos en ese texto una gran variedad de recetas que combinan la cocina medieval con las novedades que llegaron al Renacimiento. También, encontramos allí algunos platos internacionales de la frontera franco-española o franco-italiana. Se puede observar un aumento en el consumo de dulces y el desarrollo de productos de confitería, pero también un creciente interés en la fabricación de verduras y varios tipos y piezas de carne. Desde la perpectiva lingüística, el manuscrito presenta numerosas novedades en el vocabulario culinario: varios términos de cocina inéditos, el uso de algunas palabras con un significado nuevo, desconocido hasta entonces o la creación de unidades léxicas completamente nuevas y también algunos préstamos del holandés.
    The manuscript Gall. Fol. 220 belongs to the Berlin Collection of Jagiellonian Library in Cracow. It is a French-speaking set of recipes from the 16th century. This particular cook book is not well known and has not been published so far. From culinary point of view there are a lot of various recipes, which are combining medieval cuisine with renaissance novelties. Moreover an international, from french-spanisch or french-italian borderline, dishes can be found in this manuscript. The raising amount of candies and confectionary is explicit as well as the more variety in different vegetables and meat parts. Linguistically, the manuscript presents a plenty of interesting culinary words: not listed yet culinary terms orthography and its new, unfamiliar sense, an entirely new lexical units, as well as loanwords from Dutch.

    Die SBB PK verfügt über eine der umfangreichsten Sammlungen von Polonica in Deutschland. Seit Eröffnung der Bibliothek im Jahr 1661 sammelt sie umfassend Veröffentlichungen aus und über Polen mit dem Schwerpunkt im Bereich der polnischen Sprache, Literatur und Kultur, der deutsch-polnischen Beziehungen, sowie der jeweiligen Minderheiten in beiden Ländern. Diese historische Sammlungsentwicklung sowie die heutigen Aufgaben der SBB PK bei der Literatur- und Informationsversorgung der wissenschaftlichen Fachöffentlichkeit in Deutschland werden dargelegt. Wie die Geschichte beider Länder ist auch die Sammlungsentwicklung der SBB PK von zahlreichen Brüchen geprägt. Zur Erforschung eines dieser durch die NS-Herrschaft und den Zweiten Weltkrieg verursachten Brüche startete die SBB PK ein Programm zur Erforschung der Provenienzgeschichte von NS-verfolgungsbedingt entzogenen Büchersammlungen. In welchem Maße davon auch die Polonica-Sammlung der SBB PK betroffen ist, soll an Beispielen herausgearbeitet werden.
    Biblioteka Państwowa w Berlinie – Fundacja Pruskiego Dziedzictwa Kulturowego dysponuje jedną z największych w Niemczech kolekcją poloników. Od otwarcia Biblioteki w roku 1661 gromadzone są w niej licznie publikacje dotyczące Polski, zwłaszcza z zakresu języka polskiego, literatury i kultury polskiej, na temat stosunków polsko- -niemieckich, jak również mniejszości narodowych w obydwu krajach. W niniejszym artykule został przedstawiony historyczny rozwój kolekcji poloników oraz obecne zadania Biblioteki w zakresie gromadzenia literatury tego typu i zapewnienia informacji o niej środowisku naukowemu w Niemczech. Tak jak na historię obydwu krajów, tak również na rozwój zbiorów berlińskiej Biblioteki miały wpływ liczne burze dziejowe. Aby zbadać jeden z tych okresów, związany z nazizmem i II wojną światową, Biblioteka rozpoczęła program badań proweniencyjnych dotyczących księgozbiorów zagrabionych przez nazistów w krajach okupowanych. Niniejszy artykuł stanowi próbę odpowiedzi na pytanie, w jakim zakresie ów problem dotyczy również kolekcji poloników Biblioteki.
    The Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin (SBB PK) has one of the most comprehensive collections of Polonica in Germany. Since the opening of the library in 1661, it has been comprehensively collecting publications from and about Poland with a special emphasis on Polish language, literature, and culture, German-Polish relations, and on the respective minorities in both countries. This historical collection development as well as the current tasks of the SBB PK in the field of literature and information supply of the scientific audience in Germany is presented. Like the history of both countries, SBB PK’s collection development is characterized by numerous breaches. To investigate one of these fractions, caused by the Nazi rule and World War II, the SBB PK started a programme of provenance research on the history of Nazi persecuted book collections. The extent to which the Polonica collection of the SBB PK is affected is to be illustrated by examples.
