    Opis:
    The aim of the article is to identify Ruthenian appellative borrowings in the Polish language, derived from the basis of Polish surnames of Drohobych – one of the prominent cities of Polish-Ukrainian borderlands. Given the location of the city, it was home to some of the most visible linguistic changes, influences, and depositions in particular infiltration of Ruthenian appellatives into Polish language during XVII–XIX centuries.

    У статті представлено спостереження автора щодо функціонування оцінних слів у говірках українського Карпатського регіону, а саме в гуцульських, закарпатських, бойківських, лемківських говірках та суміжних говірках Буковини й Покуття. Проаналізовано стандартні моделі творення нових віддієслівних та відіменникових похідних. Значну увагу присвячено виокремленню мотиваційних моделей постання метафоричних характерологічних назв. Описано форми міжмовної взаємодії в межах цієї лексичної групи, акцентовано на тісному зв’язку діалектів аналізованого ареалу, що проявляється в спільних тенденціях оцінної номінації.
    The article deals with the functioning of the evaluable words in the dialects of the Ukrainian Carpathians, in particular the Hutsul, Transcarpathian, Boyko, Lemko, Bukovyna and Pokuttya dialects. In these dialects, the lexical system of characterological names is formed according to the same general principles. In the studied dialects, the main universal tendencies inherent in this vocabulary are manifested. On the other hand, original nominations have been observed, resulting from non-linguistic factors.An analysis has been carried out of creating standard models оf new words via dialectal nouns and verbs. Much attention has been given to the identification of motivational models behind the emergence of metaphorical characterological names. Unlike standard names, characterological vocabulary is not entered to the passive vocabulary of dialect speakers simultaneously with the disappearance of the actual thing. Secondary names or set similes last longer when they are connected with the material signs of a local culture. The forms of the interlingual interaction in this lexical group have been described. Attention has been drawn to the connections between the dialects spoken in the analysed area, which is reflected in the general trends of the evaluation nomination.

    The article presents an overview of the issues related to the formation of Ukrainian IT terminology with particular focus on the roles of the Russian and English languages. However, much more attention is devoted to the analysis of selected posts from Domivka.NET Internet forum, on which its users have dealt with, among others, the problems of translating mainly English IT terminology into Ukrainian.
    У статті коротко розглянуто проблеми, пов'язані з формуванням української комп'ютерної лексики, враховано роль у цьому процесі російської та англійської мов. Набагато більше уваги приділено аналізу вибраних повідомлень веб-форуму Domivka.NET, користувачі якого, з вибраних повідомлень веб-форуму Domivka.NET, користувачі якого, з-поміж іншого, перекладали англійську комп'ютерну термінології українською мовою.     Статтю присвячено дослідженню локальних маркерів у писемних пам’ятках офіційноділового стилю другої половини XVII–XVIII ст., окресленню тенденцій розвитку староукраїнської мови цього періоду. Джерельну базу пропонованої розвідки формують ділові документи з Гуцульщини другої половини XVIII ст., зібрані О. Маковеєм і представлені М. Грушевським на ІІ асіданні «історично-фільософічної секції» Наукового товариства імені Шевченка у Львові (1909 р.) та акти Лохвицької ратушної книги другої половини XVII ст. Встановлено, що попри усталений віками структурний каркас ділових пам’яток, вони репрезентують елементи живого народного мовлення, що відображені найяскравіше в основній частині документа, де викладено суть справи. Наголошено, що дослідження українського мовного простору у діахронії крізь призму писемних пам’яток офіційно-ділового стилю актуалізує потребу реалізації новітніх лексикографічних студій з урахуванням сучасних форм комп’ютерного опрацювання текстів та удоступнення їх широкому загалу, створенням нової методології словникових студій, нових типів лексиконів.
    This article is dedicated to research of local markers in sources written in the official and business styles from the second half of the 17th and the second half of the 18th centuries, focusing on the developmental trends in the old Ukrainian language of that time. The source of the suggested investigation consists of business documents from Hutsulia from the second half of 18th century, collected by O. Makovej and presented by M. Hrushevskij during the second session of a “historical and philosophical section” of the Taras Shevchenko Science Society in Lvov (1909), and acts of the Lokhvitsa town hall book from the second half of the 17th century. It has been discovered that, despite the centuries’ old structural frame, the business sources represent elements of actual speech, reflected mostly in the main part of the document. It has been emphasised that research into the Ukrainian language through sources written in the official and business styles prompt the need to carry out new lexycographical studies by means of computer text processing and publishing the results thus creating a new methodology of dictionary studies, new types of lexicons.
