metody analizy - Opis:
- The study evaluated chemical composition of 13 breeding strains and 3 cultivars of Lolium multiflorum using standard analytical methods and applying the NIRS method. The experimental material derived from a field experiment established in 1998 in Plant Breeding Szelejewo. lt was found that out of all Lolium multiflorum cultivars and breeding strains, in relation to the model – ‘Lotos’ cultivar, ‘SZD-SZ-200’ and ‘POB-GN-144’ were characterised by advantageous content of crude protein, ‘RGI-P364’ - by a high sugar level, ‘POB-GN-144’ and ‘RGI-P382’ - by low levels of lignins and ‘RGI-P287’ – by a good total calcium concentration. The performed analyses showed a considerable consistency between assays obtained using the NIRS method and those arrived at by standard chemical methods with regard to crude protein, NDF and ADF. On the other hand, significant differences were recorded in results associated with concentrations of hemicelluloses, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus. The performed experiments allowed concluding that, provided appropriate calibration of spectrophotometers was performed on the basis of native analytical material, it is completely rational and justifiable to use the NIRS method for qualitative assessment of grass cultivars and breeding strains.
