Opis:: Using a progressive information technologies for development of web-based courses and their administration brings a lot of practical and theoretical problems. We know web course problem is only small solution concerning construction of a large entire web-based e-learning environment. One of a practical problem is how to construct web-based electronic courses that have to meet international AICC standards. Implementation of such strict statements resulted in a lot of small or larger difficulties if we had used an elementary HTML editor. Using a special web course oriented editors can absolutely solve this problem. The second problem is construction of the web-based e-learning application that can administrate such web courses and takes into consideration AICC regulations. Development of such web applications is founded on the latest web technologies. This article introduces one approach to the modeling of the two most important components (web-based course, web-based application) of the web-based e-learning environment, convenient for Military Academy in Brno and Czech army. The article outlines the structure of web subject, e-learning environment and their implementation. The LMS's structure and its functionality, based on a snaps algebra, belong to important results of the article.

Opis:: One of the factors, which determine the effectiveness of e-learning and distance education, is the possibility of adjusting the education process into individual mental factors, cognitive preferences and educational needs of learners. [1]. The development principles of educational multimedia packages are still a challenge to authors of educational environments requiring a deep analysis of not only the load of the application and its structure but also the specific rules of distance distribution of applications. They also have to be related to contemporary pedagogical theories and social needs and expectations. Distance learning methodologies will play nowadays a great role in various subjects of training. One of the most spectacular fields of teaching seems to be a medicine. Big number of textual and graphical evidences has to be delivered the user in accordance to his current needs. Description of various diseases, surgery operations, rehabilitation processes control and analysis and many other data files have to be given in very specific way. Unfortunately these training methods are yet not gaining in popularity within medical circles.

Opis:: Celem pracy było sprawdzenie możliwości oprogramowania Open Source do zarządzania kursami zdalnego nauczania "Moodle". Przetestowano wybrane funkcje pakietu, przede wszystkim dotyczące zarządzania kursami oraz uczestnikami kursów. Postępowano zgodnie z dokumentacją pakietu opublikowaną na stronach www http://moodle.org jednocześnie sprawdzając prawdziwość użytych w niej stwierdzeń. Potwierdzono możliwość zastosowania pakietu w ramach praktycznie dowolnego projektu e-learningu, podkreślając intuicyjność jego obsługi, szeroką funkcjonalność i wysoki poziom zabezpieczeń.
Aim of this work was checking the possibilities of Open Source software for e-learning management "Moodle". Software was testing by checking selected functions, especially these connected with courses and users management. The ability of using this packet for creating nearly every e-learning project was confirmed. The intuitive of using, large range of functionality and high level of security was emphasized.

Opis:: Continuing medical education is considered as a very important aspect in the development of skills of practicing physicians and the introduction of new concepts and developments in health care provision. Studies have shown that conventional CME techniques including self-studying and lecture attending have limited impact on clinical practices. The world wide web provides a very efficient and cost-effective delivery system for conveying anywhere and anytime multimedia information to large user groups. Although there are a number of CME web sites available today, the majority of them are static and text-based thus not offering interactive functionality and multiple content. To exploit modern telematics technologies and within the framework of the Leonardo da Vinci programme, the REMEDIES project developed an interactive web-based distance-training infrastructure. The REMEDIES system incorporates two training modules - a web-based training platform and a teleconference training platform. The system has been validated in terms of technical performance and user functionality in a controlled target group comprising of young medical doctors and medical students in the specific areas of radiology and laparoscopic surgery. The results of the trial have demonstrated the compliance of the system to the defined functional requirements and the potential usefulness to the defined training goals. Trial results have also demonstrated the need of extension of the educational material within the platform especially for the purposes of continuous education.

Opis:: Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie technik zdalnego nauczania (ang. e-learning) i ich wykorzystania w sektorze rolniczym. Omówiono systemy zarządzania e-learningiem pozwalające na tworzenie lekcji przez ekspertów nie znających zaawansowanych technologii informatycznych. Na przykładzie pakietu IMARK zaprezentowano budowę kursu, zwracając szczególną uwagę na sposób przygotowania i prezentacji treści lekcji.
Paper discussed the electronic learning techniques and their applicability in agricultural studies and advisory. The systems of electronic learning management, enabling to prepare the lessons by experts of rather limited skills in advanced information technologies were described. On an example of IMARK (information management resource kit) the construction of learning course was presented with special attention paid to preparation and presentation procedure concerning the lessons’ essence.

Opis:: The paper concerns e-content characteristic features development to be used in Internet distance learning database. The elaborated e-applications development platform; Multimedia Applications Management Shell (MAMS) was elaborated for simplification of the application structure and for management of the unit. The MAMS platform works together with Quality Repetitions Unit (QRU) that controls the application flow and its repetition. Then, it produces the status of the application transmitted into the user personal data record. Both platforms provide the user with several standards, formats, objects and toll boxes used as an e-learning system library. The standardisation simplifies the application development and the application exploration. The defined standards are needed for Distance Learning System organisation that is at present under development at the University of Silesia.

Opis:: The paper presents the one e-content example used as a pattern solution for distance learning resources development at the University of Silesia. The Intranet technologies were used as networking services for training processes control and future distribution services at the University of Silesia distance learning network. The given solution provides the development team at Distance Learning Technologies Centre with various unifications and library units of four courses that are under development at present in Department of Computer Systems, institute of Informatics. All the applications are running on MAMS (Multimedia Applications Management Shell) environment as a common frame structure for every e-lesson. The MAMS applications are provided with several mechanisms that allow monitoring the user knowledge level and study progress. Various examples of the applications layout and their characteristic features are presented in this contribution.
