The article discusses the preservation history of two copies of the Union of Lublin act, the fate of which is unknown. These were: the second copy of the Lithuanian side’s act issued for the Polish Crown and the act of the Union handed over by the Polish side to Lithuanians. In the course of describing the history of the acts of the Union of Lublin, the author also describes the fate of several documents directly related to the Union of Lublin, contained in the Radziwiłł collection. Since the times of Nyasvizh and Kleck fee holder Antoni Wilhelm Radziwiłł (1833–1904), the acts of the Union of Lublin were kept under supervision in a special box which also contained the acts of the Union of Horodło. For this reason, the article also presents the course of preservation of the Union of Horodło. The author of the article puts forward a hypothesis that the acts of both the Union of Horodło and the Union of Lublin from the Radziwiłł collection were burnt in Warsaw together with the Krasiński fee library in the first half of October 1944.

Opis:
The student strikes in the autumn of 1981 generated a flurry of cultural activities including a number of uncensored publishing initiatives. So for instance members of the Student Journalist Club of Lublin revived the Biuletyn Informacyjny under the new title Biuletyn Informacyjny LKDS (The Strike Edition). It was treated with distrust both by the communist authorities and the sympathizers of the Independent Student Union (NZS), who associated it with the old Socialist Union of Polish Students.
Studencki strajk jesienią 1981 r. był czasem wzmożonej studenckiej aktywności kulturalnej. Powstawały wówczas inicjatywy wydawnicze niezależne od cenzury. W tych też okolicznościach studenci zrzeszeni wokół Lubelskiego Klubu Dziennikarzy Studenckich wznowili „Biuletyn” Informacyjny”, którego pełny tytuł tym razem brzmiał „Biuletyn Informacyjny LKDS. Wydanie Strajkowe”. Postrzegane jako organ SZSP czasopismo nie zawsze było akceptowane przez młodzież skupioną w NZS, a jednocześnie budziło podejrzenia wśród władz PRL.

„Coram iudicio”. Studies of Legal Culture in Towns in Late Medieval Poland, edited by Agnieszka Bartoszewicz is composed of four texts, the subject of which is the legal culture in Late Medieval Cracow, Lublin, and Warsaw. In his article entitled Ipsa civitas habundat furibus: Criminals and criminality in Late Medieval Cracow Maciej t. Radomski first presents the organizational structure of judicature in Cracow, then follows with a description of various criminals as individuals, (e.g. thieves, pickpockets, robbers, forgers, and rapists), reviewing their social backgrounds as well as their modus operandi. Krzysztof Mrozowski in his article Suburbanites of Old Warsaw in the latter Middle Ages (1500–1526) offers an insight into the structure of Warsaw’s suburbs. He characterizes the architecture of the places as well as the people who lived there. Miłosz Resztak in his text Studies on legal culture in the Lublin town chancellery’s activity in the Late Middle Ages analyses particular aspects of the city chancellery in Lublin. First, he focuses on status denotations in the examined book. Then he characterized the role of Polish-language words in the books of the records from Lublin. In Wojciech Patronowicz’s article Lublin citizens’ everyday life in the 1408–1532 wilkürs perspective the author presents the aspects of medieval city life regulated by the afore-mentioned wilkürs: administration, security, and trade and craftsmanship, as well as the organizational structure

Tematem artykułu jest projekt koncepcyjny Ogrodu Pamięci na terenie dawnego cmentarza żydowskiego, znajdującego się na pograniczu dzielnic Ponikwoda i Kalinowszczyzna w Lublinie. Obszar opracowania obejmuje nieogrodzoną, pozbawioną nagrobków część dawnego cmentarza żydowskiego, która obecnie stanowi dla mieszkańców pobliskich zabudowań namiastkę parku z ubogą infrastrukturą i roślinnością. Założeniem pracy było pogodzenie sprzecznych funkcji terenu poprzez stworzenie bardzo potrzebnego w tym rejonie parku, a jednocześnie zapewnienie odpowiedniego szacunku dla przeszłości miejsca. Zasadniczą część pracy stanowi projekt koncepcyjny Ogrodu Pamięci, w efekcie zaprojektowania którego teren zyskał ład przestrzenny, a roślinność poprzez zaplanowaną zmienność pojawów fenologicznych nabrała również symbolicznego znaczenia, dzięki przypisaniu każdej porze roku pewnego okresu z historii lubelskich Żydów.
The subject of the project is a conceptual design for a Memorial Garden on the site of the former Jewish cemetery, located on the area joining the Ponikwoda and Kalinowszczyzna districts in Lublin. The area covered by the project is an unfenced part of the former Jewish cemetery, without tombstones, which now serves as an ersatz park for residents of nearby buildings, with poor infrastructure and vegetation. The premise of the work was to reconcile the contradictory functions of the site by creating a much-needed park in the area while at the same time ensuring appropriate respect for the history of the site. The core of the work is the conceptual design of the Memorial Garden, owing to which the area will gain spatial order, while through the planned variation of phenological phenomena the vegetation will acquire symbolic meaning, as each season will be associated with a particular period in the history of Lublin Jews.

Wśród spuścizny Józefa Czechowicza odnajdujemy, obok rękopisów czy rzeczy osobistych, także rysunki poety. Zachowało się ich dwadzieścia pięć z lat 1925-1929. Przechowywane w kilku miejscach do dziś nie wzbudziły zainteresowania i nie zostały opracowane. Wykonywane najczęściej piórem i atramentem pojawiają się na rękopisach utworów, towarzyszą korespondencji poety, są pracami egzaminacyjnymi, lub występują niezależnie. Najliczniejszą grupę stanowią ilustracje wierszy. Zachodzi w nich bardzo ścisły, a zarazem prosty związek między tekstem a elementem graficznym, który nawiązuje do treści lub stylistyki wiersza. Ilustrowane są bądź poszczególne strofki bądź cały wiersz. Drugą ciekawą grupą są rysunki z korespondencji poety. Wśród nich na uwagę zasługują zwłaszcza własnoręcznie wykonane przez Czechowicza karty pocztowe. Interesujące są też szkice związane z pedagogiczną pracą poety. Rysunki poety cechuje wyrobiony zmysł plastyczny swoboda linii, prawidłowość proporcji, dobra kompozycja pewna finezja i humor. Mówią one dużo o Czechowiczu poecie i człowieku. Mogą stanowić ciekawe zarzewie badań nad autoilustracją w literaturze.
Among Józef Czechowicz’s works besides manuscripts and personal belongings we also find the poet’s drawings. Twenty-five ones dating from 1925-1929 have been preserved. Kept in a few different places they have not raised any interest and have not been studied yet. Most often made with pen and ink, they appear in the manuscripts of his literary works, they accompany his correspondence, they are examination theses, or they appear independently of any other works. Illustrations of poems constitute the most numerous group. A close, and at the same time simple connection between the text and the graphic element occurs in them that refers to the content or the style of the poem. Either the whole poem or particular stanzas are illustrated. Another interesting group is made up by the poet’s drawings included in his correspondence. Especially postcards made by Czechowicz himself deserve attention. Also sketches connected with the poet’s pedagogic work are interesting. The poet’s drawings are characterized by good visual taste, ease of the line, good proportions and compositions, a certain fineness and humor. They tell a lot about Czechowicz as a poet and as a man. They may be an interesting starting point for studies on self-illustration in literature.

In 1743 Canon Józef Ludwik Balicki drew up an inventory of the documents transferred to the Archive of the Cathedral Chapter in Krasnystaw. Those materials came from the office of the bishops of Chełm and the Consistory of Chełm. The inventory has been published in the following article. Are the materials listed in the inventory in the folds of the Archdiocesan Archives of Lublin now? And to what extent have they been preserved? The findings, done on the basis of the comparative analysis, lead to several conclusions of a more general nature. A positive surprise is the fact that most of those materials have been preserved. Of the thirty-five items listed in Canon Balicki’s inventory only six are missing in today’s records of the archive. It enables the author to propose a theory of competent handling the entrusted materials, in spite of the rapid institutional changes and the adverse circumstances in history. There are only little chronological discrepancies in the books in relation to their description in the register. It is possible that these differences arise not so much from the material losses, but from a cursory inspection and consequently wrong description of the material once done by its author. Distinct differences exist, however, in the external appearance of the books, namely the binding of the volumes.

W tym czasie stanowiło forum informacyjne i rodzaj komunikatora, początkowo między absolwentami Wydziału Teologicznego KUL i ich wykładowcami, a następnie ogółem polskich teologów. W artykule podjęto próbę odtworzenia historii powstania i funkcjonowania pisma, opisania jego struktury oraz analizy treści jego numerów.
The „Teologia w Polsce. Biuletyn Informacyjny. Dokumenty, Studia, Informacje” journal was published over the years 1983-2006 at the discretion of Father Stanisław Celestyn Napiórkowski OFMConv and Karol Klauza. During that period, it provided a platform for information and communication for the graduates of the Faculty of Theology of the Catholic University of Lublin and their lecturers, and subsequently for Polish theologians in general. The article attempts to trace the history of the magazine’s origin and functioning, describe its structure, and analyse the content of its individual issues.
