Opis:
The paper presents geological settings, resources and mineral composition of theore bodies of the Zhyrychi copper deposit found in the North- Western Ukraine at the end of the last century. The deposit is located in the Vendian basaltic flows and in traflow pyroclastics in central part of the Volhyn trappean province, originated in the Late Vendian during Torn quistrifting. The majority of copper is concentrated in native form and occurs as disseminated grains, veinlets and nuggets. Locally native siver, copper- sulphides (chalcosite, digenite, bornite and covellite) and cuprite replace native copper. The ore bodies are controlled by faulting and occur as stratabound, but are locally enriched in nuggets in tuffs and fissured zones in ba alts. Ag, Pd, Rh and Aucan also beeco nomically important. The major copperores were deposited to gether with prehnite- pumpellyite para genesis, originated in the succession: pumpellyite – prehnite (šnative copper) – laumontite (or wairakite) (šnative copper). The ore bodies were formed during cooling of the mineralforming hydrothermal system at the end of the Vendian volcanic activity. The syngenetic inter growths of native copper with prehnite, precipitated after pumpellyite, and homogenization temperature of fluid inclusions in later wairakite (210–335gradeC) indicate that the major deposi tion of native copper took place at 200–400gradeC. The following propylitization, smectitization and analcilization of thecountry rocks probably occurred during at tenuation of the hydrothermal activity after magmatism ceased. All these processes were accompanied by dissolution of copper ore and its redistribution with local enrichment in copper nuggets.

Najnowsza książka Mariana Grabowskiego może zostać zakwalifikowana do tzw. filozofii biblijnej, czyli nurtu filozoficznego odczytywania tekstu biblijnego i interpretowania jego znaczenia przy użyciu kategorii filozoficznych. Jednocześnie publikacja ta podejmuje także problematykę z zakresu filozofii przyrody z racji wyraźnie obecnych w niej prób filozoficznego uchwycenia i przedstawienia istoty rzeczywistości materialnej. Autor pracy w ten właśnie sposób zmierzył się z początkowym fragmentem biblijnej Księgi Rodzaju (Rdz 1,1–10), chcąc ustalić i ukazać głębię znaczenia tego tekstu, jego filozoficzne konotacje, a także dokonać jego reinterpretacji w świetle kategorii filozoficznych wyodrębnionych na gruncie matematyczno-fizykalnego obrazu świata.
The latest book by Marian Grabowski may be classified as biblical philosophy, i.e. the philosophical current of reading the biblical text and interpreting its meaning using philosophical categories. At the same time, this publication also deals with the issues of the philosophy of nature due to the clearly present attempts at philosophical grasping and presentation of the essence of material reality. This is how the author of the work dealt with the initial fragment of the biblical Book of Genesis (Genesis 1: 1-10), wanting to establish and show the depth of the meaning of this text, its philosophical connotations, and to reinterpret it in the light of philosophical categories distinguished on the basis of mathematics and physical image of the world.

Opis:
Historians of philosophy use the word genesis fairly freely. Most often it is supposed to denote the beginning of a certain trend, variously understood, a problem, argument, or, broadly speaking, a certain idea. Nevertheless, as Karl Jaspers pointed aptly, the beginning is something historical, something that once happened in a given time. In this sense it is always single and unrepeatable. If, however, some trends and ideas always recur in philosophy, it is better to speak about a source, or, perhaps, a few sources than about a beginning. It seems that the use of the term „genesis” to define such a source is legitimate. A source is, however, a genesis of another tpe than beginning, because in a sense it eludes time. The impulse stimulating to philosophizing flows from the sources on and on in various epochs. The paper first discusses the genesis of philosophical ideas understood as a beginning, then genesis understood as a source.

Przeprowadzone analizy porównawcze służą powiększeniu aktualnego stanu wiedzy z zakresu dynamiki systemu fluwialnego w krajobrazie nizinnym. Dolina Narwi z terenami bezpośrednio przyległymi rozwinęła się w czwartorzędowych osadach i jest efektem zaniku plejstoceńskich pokryw lodowcowych i zmian w czasie holocenu.
The performed comparative analyses aimed at increasing the actual knowledge on the fluvial system dynamics in a lowland landscape. The Narew River Valley with neighborhood area developed in Quaternary sediments and is an effect of the deglaciation course of the Pleistocene glaciers and the changes during the Holocene.

Satan’s interference in the events described in the first chapters of the book of Genesis and in the life of the protoplasts is not mentioned at all in the biblical text. This happens, however, in pseudo-canonical texts. The article is a short survey on the apocryphal accounts that mention Satan and their influence on art. The main focus is put on the inclusion of the image of Satan behind Cain’s figure in a number of depictions of the scene The Murder of Abel in the Russian art of the 16th and 17th centuries. The possible links between this visual motif with several literary sources is examined, among them the Short and the Explanatory Palaea, the Tale of Bygone Years (Povest’ vremennykh let or Primary Chronicle), Russian recensions of the apocryphon The Sea of Tiberias, and of The Revelation of Pseudo-Methodius of Patara. In addition, some instances of the same visual decision in Balkan art are pointed out and their connection to Russian models is underlined.

Genesis 49 shows the scene that takes place at the deathbed of the patriarch Jacob. In the face of his upcoming death, Jacob calls on all of his sons that they may listen to and accept his words of valediction. The patriarch addresses each of them individually. This piece of text serves an example of the biblical poetry in which metaphors play an important role. In the Hebrew text there are words and phrases that raise many doubts and questions. Not only contemporary translators and biblical scholars contend with these difficulties, but ancient and medieval commentators did as well. The Aramaic Targums testify to the early Jewish exegesis and interpretation of Gen 49. This article presents the paraphrase and discusses a few selected verses of the Aramaic version of Torah (Tg. Onq., Tg. Neof., Frg. Tg(s)., Tg. Ps.-J.). Based on the above examples, the development of principal Jewish views on eschatology (49:1-2) and of Messianic expectations in context of Jacob’s blessing of the tribe of Judah (49:8-12) is portrayed. The last part of this article comprises the rendering and the meaning of the Targumic animal metaphors based on the examples of Issachar (49:14-15) and of Benjamin (49:27) that significantly differ from the Hebrew text.

In 1575 Maciej Wirzbięta, a printer from Cracow, published a translation of the work De nobilitate et praecellentia feminei sexus eiusdemque supra virilem eminentia libellus titled Treatise on dignity and respectability of female sex. The author of the original text was Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa von Nettesheim. Agrippa together with Wirzbięta took part in a century-long debate on women’s dignity, proving the legitimacy of the thesis which puts women over men. Arguments used in the discussion de hominis dignitate were supported by a particular interpretation of the Book of Genesis, which presents women as a better kind of men.

Wybór Abrahama był niezwykle ważny dla całej historii odkupienia opisanej zarówno w Starym, jak i w Nowym Testamencie. Osobisty kontakt z Bogiem przyniósł obraz Boga będącego blisko człowieka. Abraham uważany był za przyjaciela Boga. Tak postrzegany jest we wszystkich trzech religiach monoteistycznych: judaizmie, chrześcijaństwie i islamie. Patriarcha jest więc postacią najbardziej „ekumeniczną” ze wszystkich i nazywany jest „ojcem wiary”. Historyczność Abrahama jest obecnie szeroko dyskutowana. Zagadnienie to było badane z perspektywy historycznej, archeologicznej, etnologicznej i religiologicznej.Przymierze Boga z Abrahamem było pierwszym historycznym wydarzeniem, które przypieczętowało ludzkie relacje wertykalne. Przymierze Boga z Noem nie miało charakteru historycznego, lecz było jedynie ludzką nadzieją na intymną relację z Najwyższym. To sam Bóg wzbudził w człowieku te nadzieje. Opis przymierza z Noem był preludium do przymierza Jahwe z Abrahamem i jego potomkami. Wybór Abrahama przez Boga zmienił na zawsze historię ludzkości. Odtąd Jahwe miał powtarzać.Opowiadanie o związaniu Izaaka – syna Abrahama (Rdz 22,1-19) jest jednym z najbardziej porywających tekstów w całej Biblii hebrajskiej Po rozdziale (Rdz 21), w którym Izaak rodzi się jako spełnienie Bożej obietnicy, czytelnik przechodzi do tekstu, w którym Bóg żąda od Abrahama złożenia chłopca w ofierze. Tekst Rdz 22,1-19 jest mieszaniną źródeł E i J, dlatego opisane w nim motywy musiały być znane w różnych tradycjach izraelskich i były postrzegane jako szczególnie ważne zagadnienia nauczania religijnego.
Abraham’s choice was extremely important for the whole history of redemption described both in the Old and the New Testaments. Personal contact with God has brought the image of God being close to man. Abraham was considered to be God’s friend. He is perceived as such in all the three monotheistic religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The patriarch is thus the most “ecumenical” character of all and is called the “father of faith”. The historicity of Abraham has been presently widely discussed. The question has been studied from the historical, archaeological, ethnological and religiological perspectives.The covenant of God with Abraham was the first historical event that sealed human vertical relations. God’s covenant with Noah had not been historical but merely human hopes of intimate relation with the Highest. It was God Himself to evoke the hopes in man. The description of the Noahite covenant was a prelude to Yahweh covenant with Abraham and his descendants. God’s choice of Abraham has changed human history for ever. Since then Yahweh would repeat.The tale of Isaac’s – Abraham’s son – binding (Gen 22:1-19) is one of the most thrilling texts in the whole Hebrew Bible After the chapter (Gen 21), Isaac, being born in fulfilment of God’ s promise, the reader goes to the text where God demands from Abraham to sacrifice the boy. The text of Gen 22:1-19 is a mixture of E and J sources therefore the motifs described there must have been known in various Israeli traditions and were perceived as specially important issues of religious teaching.

W artykule genezę sieci kolei dużych prędkości w Chinach na tle najważniejszych decyzji władz państwowych, podjętych w 1990 roku. Opisano plan strategiczny rozwoju kolei chińskich z 2004 roku, w którym przedstawiono zamiar zbudowania do 2020 roku 28 000 km nowych linii kolejowych, w tym 8 linii magistralnych dużych prędkości. Scharakteryzowano realizację najważniejszych inwestycji, podstawowe parametry techniczne, konstrukcję nawierzchni, rozjazdów, podtorza i obiektów mostowych. Przedstawiono rewizję z 2010 r. planów budowy kolei dużych prędkości, przeprowadzoną pod kątem ich wykonalności i celowości. Opisano organizację przewozów oraz tabor do przewozów pasażerskich.
The origins of high-speed rail system in China as compared to the most important decisions made by the Government in 1990 have been presented. Strategic plan for the development of Chinese railways from 2004 was described. The plan provides for the construction of 28,000 km new railway lines by 2020 including 8 high-speed main lines. Completion of the most important contracts, basic technical specifications, design of permanent ways, switches, substructure and bridge structures were characterized. A revision carried out in 2010 in respect of the high speed rail system project in view of its feasibility and usefulness was presented. Traffic schedules as well as the passenger rolling stock was described.

The article is a critical review of the commentary by Bartosz Adamczewski – Genesis. A Hypertextual Commentary. After presenting the theses put forward by Adamczewski in his commentary on Genesis, the criteria of sequential hypertextuality implemented by Adamczewski and his method of delimiting literary units that remain in hypertextual relations are critically reviewed. The methodological weakness of the hypertextual commentary on Genesis cannot be covered up by the creativity of the commentator.

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by cerebral deposition of extracellular amyloid plaques and intracellular neurofibrillary tangles. However, these neuropathological changes are final symptoms and the earliest manifestation of pathological changes is an increase in the level of cellular oxidation caused by free radicals. As our environment is abundant in factors promoting this process, the paper presents the facts concerning the relations between air (i.e. smog and pesticides) and soil pollution (i.e. pesticides) and AD prevalence.

This essay examines biblical references, inspirations and motifs in 20th-century Italian prose. It investigates the longstanding significance of the Sacred Scripture as one of the fundaments of Western civilisation and the Scripture’s changing influence on the imagination and sensibilities of modern Italian writers; it also attempts to provide an explanation of this trend. The Bible, a source of inspiration with extensive historical presence and numerous translations, has been met with multiple interpretations extending far beyond its purely theological dimension. It has shaped European cultural heritage in terms of its themes as well as its languages, symbols, concepts and metaphors, which have permeated European works of culture in the centuries past. The Bible has encouraged creators, including authors, to continue to operate within its tradition, albeit outside the strict confines of faith itself. It is a timeless code not just because of its longstanding presence, but also because it cannot be dismissed out of hand if we are to understand not simply the works of great, world-renowned classics, and those shaped by religion in particular, but notably the works of modern writers of both Christian and secular backgrounds.
: Il presente saggio intende approfondire la presenza di riferimenti, ispirazioni e motivi biblici nella prosa italiana del Novecento. Investiga il durativo significato delle Sacre Scritture intese come fondamento della civiltà occidentale, nonché il loro variabile influsso sull’immaginazione e sulla sensibilità degli scrittori italiani moderni, oltre a tentare di spiegare questa tendenza. Nella sua lunga storia e nelle sue traduzioni la Bibbia è stata oggetto delle più varie interpretazioni, anche al di fuori della sua dimensione puramente teologica. Ha avuto un’influenza formativa sull’intero patrimonio europeo, non solo in termini di tematiche, ma anche di lingue, simboli, concetti e metafore che permeano da secoli l’opera di innumerevoli artisti. La Bibbia ha incoraggiato i creatori, tra cui gli autori di letteratura, a continuare a operare all’interno della sua tradizione, perfino oltre i confini della fede. È un codice che perdura non solo nel senso del suo resistere al trascorrere del tempo, ma è anche quel codice da cui pare impossibile prescindere volendo conoscere l’opera di notevoli autori classici, soprattutto di formazione religiosa, ma anche di orientamento laico.

Opis:
The aimof the article was an analisys of the character of the Melchisedek Episode (Gn 14,18-20). The analisys shows that the text manifests the characteristics that linkit with its context and that manifest its distinctness too; also that the text contains the words both antic and recent. This revealsits composite character. The division of the text in two parts: the narrative part (vv. 18.20b) and the speech (vv. 19-20a) shows that the former part contains the recent vocabulary and that it contains the characteristics that distinct the text from its context. The speech contains the antic words and all the characteristics that link the text with its context are situated here. The contextis an antic text so we conclude that the speech (vv. 19-20a) is an original part of the story of Gn 14. The narrative part (vv. 18.20b) is added in a later time by an editor that introduced into the story the figure of Melchizedek and put in his mouth the words of the king of Sodom.
Celem artykułu była analiza charakteru literackiego fragmentu opowiadającego o spotkaniu Abrahama z Melchizedekiem (Rdz 14, 18-20). Z analizy wynika, że fragment wykazuje cechy, które łączą go z jego kontekstem jak i takie, które wykazują jego odrębność oraz że zawiera słownictwo zarówno antyczne jak i późniejsze. To wskazuje na jego złożony charakter. Dzieląc fragment na część narracyjną (ww. 18.20b) oraz mowę (ww. 19-20a) zauważamy, że część narracyjna zawiera słownictwo późniejsze a nie zawiera tego antycznego oraz że wykazuje cechy wykazujące jego odrębność. Przeciwnie natomiast mowa – ta zawiera słownictwo antyczne a wszystkie cechy łączące fragment z kontekstem zawierają się właśnie tutaj. Ponieważ kontekst (Rdz 14) jest tekstem antycznym, stwierdzamy, że mowa (ww. 19-20a) tworzy oryginalną część opowiadania Rdz 14. Część narracyjna (ww. 18.20b) została dodana później przez redaktora, który wprowadził do opowiadania postać Melchizedeka i w jego usta włożył słowa króla Sodomy.
