    In order to properly classify the phraseme (that is, a constrained, or non-free, expression) No parking, a universal typology of lexical phrasemes is proposed. It is based on the following two parameters:• The nature of constraints— Lexemic phrasemes: the expression is constrained with respect to freely constructed meaning.—  Semantic-lexemic phrasemes: the expression is constrained/non-constrained with respect to the meaning constrained by the conceptual representation.—  Pragmatemes: the expression is constrained with respect to pragmatic conditions, that is, to the extralinguistic situation of its use (in a letter, on a street sign, on a package of perishable food).• The compositionalityThe expression can/cannot be represented as regular “sum” of its components.As a result, we have, firstly, the following major classes of lexical phrasemes:1)  Non-compositional lexemic phrasemes: idioms (˹cold feet˺, ˹shoot the breeze˺)2)  Compositional lexemic phrasemes: collocations (rain heavily, pay a visit)3)  Non-compositional semantic-lexemic phrasemes: nominemes (Big Dipper, New South Wales)4)  Compositional semantic-lexemic phrasemes: clichés (See you tomorrow! | Absence makes the heart grow fonder.)For clichés, the least-studied class of phrasemes, a more detailed classification is proposed (as a function of the type of their denotation). Secondly, each phraseme (except a nomineme) and each lexemes can be pragmatically constrained, i.e. a pragmateme: ˹Fall out!˺ (idiom; a military command) | Take aim! (collocation; a military command) | Emphasis mine/added (cliché; in a printed text) | Rest! (lexeme; a military command).

    The paper proposes a formal definition of support verb as (roughly) a semantically empty verb serving as a syntactic “prop” to a predicative noun such that the phrase V(support)(N) + N is synonymous with the verb V0 derived form N: ‘V(support)(N) + N’ = ‘V0(N)’, as in ‘to give an order’ = ‘to order’ or ‘to receive an order’ = ‘to be ordered’. The following points are discussed: support verbs as collocates, representation of support verbs in terms of lexical functions, semantic and syntactic properties of support verbs, semantic additions to support verbs (in particular, causation and phasic meanings), realization verbs, and the role of support verbs in theoretical and applied linguistics.

    The paper describes Russian phrasal indefinite pronouns: both 1) phraseologized (= collocational), such as koe-kto ≈ ‘someone’, Bog znaet kto ‘God knows who’, kto ugodno ‘whoever’ or kto by to ni bylo ‘no matter who’, and 2) free, such as {Ja vstretil} nikto iz tvoix druzej ne dogadaetsja kogo ‘{I met} none of your friends will guess whom’ (a.k.a. syntactic amalgams). Three lexical entries are presented: for the indefinite pronominal lexeme kto1 ≈ ‘-body; -one’, for the premodifying indefiniteness type marker idiom ˹Bog znaet˺ ‘God knows’, and for the postmodifying indefiniteness type marker particle -to4 ≈ ‘some’. Formal representations of collocational and free phrasal indefinite pronouns at three levels of linguistic representation (semantic, deep-syntactic and surface-syntactic) are given, as well as rules for constructing both types of pronouns.

    Opis:
    The immensity of the exposed news online has given everybody the chance to manipulate information; and so, confusion and misinformation transpire, and the evaluation of credibility and trustworthiness becomes intricate. In spite of the continuous efforts of various academic institutions to provide a wide array of databases and resources among learners – still the current phenomenon called fake news has become incessantly dispersing. This research has explored university students’ dis/engagement from/to fake news. Using quantitative measures, it was revealed that the students had used online platforms for communication processes and for retrieving and allocating information. Moreover, upon text mining the student responses, nearly all defined fake news as satirical with misleading and fabricated content which tends to deceive and do harm to people. Students also have a moderate view in which they scarcely believe that as they disengage from fake news, they will develop their communication skills since they learn how to fact check information before sharing it. Lastly, the content analysis has revealed various themes divulging students’ experiences of fake news and its implications to the curriculum.

    Opis:
    The Wiener index, W, is the sum of distances between all pairs of vertices in a graph G. The quadratic line graph is defined as L(L(G)), where L(G) is the line graph of G. A generalized star S is a tree consisting of Δ ≥ 3 paths with the unique common endvertex. A relation between the Wiener index of S and of its quadratic graph is presented. It is shown that generalized stars having the property W(S) = W(L(L(S)) exist only for 4 ≤ Δ ≤ 6. Infinite families of generalized stars with this property are constructed.

    Let G be a simple 4-regular plane graph and let S be a decomposition of G into edge-disjoint cycles. Suppose that every two adjacent edges on a face belong to different cycles of S. Such a graph G arises as a superposition of simple closed curves in the plane with tangencies disallowed. Studies of coloring of graphs of this kind were originated by Grötzsch. Two 4-chromatic graphs generated by circles in the plane were constructed by Koester in 1984 [10,11,12]. Until now, no other examples of such graphs were known. We present fourteen new 4-chromatic graphs generated by circles in the plane.

    Annexins belong to a family of Ca2+- and phospholipid-binding proteins that can mediate the aggregation of granules and vesicles in the presence of Ca2+. We have studied the effects of different divalent metal ions on annexin-mediated aggregation of liposomes using annexins isolated from rabbit liver and large unilamellar vesicles prepared from soybean asolectin II-S. In the course of these studies, we have found that annexin-mediated aggregation of liposomes can be driven by various earth and transition metal ions other than Ca2+. The ability of metal ions to induce annexin-mediated aggregation decreases in the order: Cd2+>Ba2+, Sr2+>Ca2+>>Mn2+>Ni2+>>Co2+. Annexin-mediated aggregation of vesicles is more selective to metal ions than the binding of annexins to membranes. We speculate that not every type of divalent metal ion can induce conformational change sufficient to promote the interaction of annexins either with two opposing membranes or with opposing protein molecules. Relative concentration ratios of metal ions in the intimate environment may be crucial for the functioning of annexins within specialized tissues and after treatment with toxic metal ions.

    In 1960, Dirac put forward the conjecture that r-connected 4-critical graphs exist for every r ≥ 3. In 1989, Erdös conjectured that for every r ≥ 3 there exist r-regular 4-critical graphs. A method for finding r-regular 4-critical graphs and the numbers of such graphs for r ≤ 10 have been reported in [6,7]. Results of a computer search for graphs of degree r = 12,14,16 are presented. All the graphs found are both r-regular and r-connected.

    Opis:
    The upcoming hypersonic technologies pose a difficult task for air navigation systems. The article presents a designed model of elastic interaction of penetrating acoustic radiation with flat isotropic suspension elements of an inertial navigation sensor in the operational conditions of hypersonic flight. It has been shown that the acoustic transparency effect in the form of a spatial-frequency resonance becomes possible with simultaneous manifestation of the wave coincidence condition in the acoustic field and equality of the natural oscillation frequency of a finite-size plate and a forced oscillation frequency of an infinite plate. The effect can lead to additional measurement errors of the navigation system. Using the model, the worst and best case suspension oscillation frequencies can be determined, which will help during the design of a navigation system.
