Theoretically the X-ray emission is subjected to the Gaussian distribution and is symmetric. An X-ray diffraction peak should be symmetric, too. However all illite 1 nm (interplanar distance) peaks used for measurement of illite crystallinity (IC) are practically asymmetric. Our experimental results prove that any X-ray diffraction peak in low diffraction angle segment appears asymmetric if the diffractometer is running with a slit-fixed system. However, if the diffractometer is running with an auto-adjustable-slit system and the illumination length is fixed, the X-ray diffraction peak in low diffraction angle segment is symmetric. Those peaks derived from synchrotron radiation are symmetric in all angle ranges. The asymmetric degree (AsD) of a X-ray diffraction peak is subjected to the ratio of integrated intensities on lower and higher diffraction angle sides which are related to the X-ray illuminating length (area) on the sample. From the expression of illuminating length it is derived that with increasing diffraction angle the illuminating length decreases and therefore a X-ray diffraction peak is always asymmetric. The relationship between AsD and IC can be expressed as AsD = 0.239IC + 0.999, When illite/smectite mixed-layer phase presents the asymmetry of the illite 1 nm X-ray diffraction peak will be obviously higher than usual case and induces unusually larger IC value.

Multi-particle finite element method (MPFEM) simulation has been proven an efficient approach to study the densification behaviors during powder compaction. However, comprehensive comparisons between 2D and 3D MPFEM models should be made, in order to clarify which dimensional model produces more accurate prediction on the densification behaviors. In this paper, uniaxial high velocity compaction experiments using Ti-6Al-4V powder were performed under different impact energy per unit mass notated as Em. Both 2D and 3D MPFEM simulations on the powder compaction process were implemented under displacement control mode, in order to distinguish the differences. First, the experimental final green density of the compacts increased from 0.839 to 0.951 when Em was increased from 73.5 J/g to 171.5 J/g. Then detailed comparisons between two models were made with respect to the typical densification behaviors, such as the density-strain and density-pressure relations. It was revealed that densification of 2D MPFEM model could be relatively easier than 3D model for our case. Finally, validated by the experimental results, 3D MPFEM model generated more realistic predictions than 2D model, in terms of the final green density’s dependence on both the true strain and Em. The reasons were briefly explained by the discrepancies in both the particles’ degrees of freedom and the initial packing density.

Objectives The authors used the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) and general health questionnaire to analyze the factors influencing the mental health status and the workload of support nurses during the COVID-19 epidemic. Material and Methods The authors conducted a cross-sectional survey of 349 support nurses in April–October 2022. Using QuestionStar, a powerful online survey tool, the authors administered surveys to the participants, collected data on the mental health status and workload of support nurses, and analyzed the influencing factors based on the collected data. Results A total of 316 questionnaires were successfully collected, with an effective rate of 98.75%. The proportion of support nurses with mental health problems was 25% and the value of the NASA-TLX questionnaire was: M±SD 68.91±7.28 pts. Multi-factor analysis revealed that the number of children, family support, and nursing support location were the influencing factors of mental health status, while the multivariate analysis revealed that the presence of symptoms, nursing support location, support work type, and total 12-item General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12) score were the influencing factors of the workload of support nurses. Conclusions Compared to their counterparts in the plains, nurses working in isolated plateau regions who were caring for children and lacked family support, were more likely to have mental health issues. There was a positive correlation between the changes in GHQ-12 and NASA-TLX scores of the study participants. Compared to their counterparts in the plains and the tropical regions, nurses working in plateau regions had a heavier workload. As part of the follow-up measures to prevent and treat patients impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic, it is important to improve the mental health evaluation, consultation, and treatment of the support nurses to guarantee the high quality of the first-line support work.

After the rapid economic growth through reform and opening-up over 40 years, Chinese governments are seeking transformation for high-quality and sustainable development currently. Regional economic development is related to internal and external environments as well as local government’s character behaviors. Employing Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Consciousness-Context-Behavior (CCB) theory, we construct a theoretical framework to measure the relationships between regional development environment (RDE), local government’s character behavior (LGCB), and regional sustainable capability (RSC). We collect the data of 30 provinces in mainland China from 2001 to 2020 to conduct hypothesis testing and empirical analysis. The results show that both RDE and LGCB are associated with RSC, and LGCB significantly mediates the relationship between RDE and RSC. However, the effects of different RDE elements on RSC are heterogeneous. Our study enriches regional sustainable development theory. It arouses us to better understand LGCB and attach importance to the roles of RDE and LGCB in regional sustainability. The enlightenment is important to global developing countries.
Po szybkim wzroście gospodarczym poprzez reformy i otwarcie w ciągu 40 lat, chińskie rządy dążą obecnie do transformacji w celu zapewnienia wysokiej jakości i zrównoważonego rozwoju. Regionalny rozwój gospodarczy jest powiązany z otoczeniem wewnętrznym i zewnętrznym oraz charakterem zachowań samorządu terytorialnego. Wykorzystując teorię programowania neurolingwistycznego (NLP) i świadomość-kontekst-behawior (CCB), konstruujemy ramy teoretyczne do pomiaru relacji między środowiskiem rozwoju regionalnego (RDE), zachowaniem charakteru samorządu lokalnego (LGCB) a zrównoważonym potencjałem regionalnym (RSC). Zbieramy dane z 30 prowincji w Chinach kontynentalnych od 2001 do 2020 roku, aby przeprowadzić testowanie hipotez i analizę empiryczną. Wyniki pokazują, że zarówno RDE, jak i LGCB są powiązane z RSC, a LGCB znacząco pośredniczy w relacji między RDE i RSC. Jednak wpływ różnych elementów RDE na RSC jest niejednorodny. Nasze badanie wzbogaca regionalną teorię zrównoważonego rozwoju. Pobudza nas to do lepszego zrozumienia LGCB i przywiązania wagi do roli RDE i LGCB w zrównoważonym rozwoju regionalnym. Oświecenie jest ważne dla globalnych krajów rozwijających się.

Opis:
Energy levels, line strengths, oscillator strengths, radiative decay rates and fine structure collision strengths are presented for sixteen-times ionized iron (Fe XVII). The atomic data are calculated with the AUTOSTRUCTURE code, where relativistic corrections are introduced according to the Breit-Pauli distorted wave approach. The calculations of atomic data for 89 fine-structure levels generated from eleven configurations 2s²2p⁶, 2s²2p⁵ (3s, 3p, 3d), 2s²2p⁵ (4s, 4p, 4d, 4f) and 2s¹2p⁶ (3s, 3p, 3d) of the Ne-like Fe ion are presented. Fine structure collision strengths for transitions from the ground and the first four excited levels are presented at four electron energies: 75, 125, 175, and 250 Ry. These atomic structure data are compared with the available experimental and theoretical results.

The impurity removal process of the rare earth (RE) leachate is usually accompanied by the formation of flocs, and a certain amount of polyacrylamide flocculant needs to be added in this process. However, few studies have investigated the effect of the flocculant on the impurity removal process. Therefore, this paper compares the influence on the process of removing impurities with or without the adding of polyacrylamide (PAM). The results showed that the addition of PAM had little effect on the removal rate of impurities, but it was conducive to the recovery of RE. When ammonium bicarbonate was firstly adopted to regulate the solution pH to 5.0, and then sodium sulfide was used to adjust the pH to 5.2, and 0.5 mL/100 mL of PAM was added to the leachate, 96% $Al^{3+}$ and 98% $Zn{2+}$ were removed from the leachate, while 95% RE was maintained. In addition, PAM could accelerate the settlement of flocs and then shorten the production cycle. The increase in RE recovery rate may be due to the addition of PAM to shorten the settling time of the flocs, thereby reducing the RE ions adsorbed during the flocculation process and increasing the recovery rate of the RE.

In the recovery process of rare earth (RE) from the weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ore, ammonium sulfate is used as the leaching liquor to leach RE, and then the leachate containing RE3+ can be precipitated by oxalic acid and the RE oxalate precipitation mother liquor is reused for RE leaching process after removing the residual oxalic acid by precipitation with calcium hydroxide. However, the reuse process of precipitation mother liquor cannot proceed in the strong acid and alkali restricted areas and the discharge of mother liquor which contains a large amount of ammonium salt will cause ammonia-nitrogen waste and pollution. In order to realize the reuse of the precipitation mother liquor in this area, the direct reuse of RE oxalate precipitation mother liquor for RE leaching was investigated in this study. The RE oxalate precipitation process and the RE leaching process with oxalic acid were studied. The results showed that the residual oxalic acid concentration in the mother liquor can be controlled lower than 0.8 g/dm3 at pH 2-3 when the RE concentration in the leachate was 0.1- 1.5 g/dm3 and the RE precipitation rate reached to 94%. In addition, RE leaching efficiency was up to 90% while the oxalic acid concentration in the prepared mother liquor was 0.2-0.8 g/dm3, pH 2-3. Therefore, the precipitation mother liquor with oxalic acid concentration less than 0.8 g/dm3 could be directly reused for RE leaching. However, considering the different performance of RE ores, the recommended oxalic acid concentration in the direct used precipitation mother liquor was lower than 0.6 g/dm3.

Experimental investigations were carried out using kaolinite to adsorb two rare earth ions, lanthanum ion (La3+) and yttrium ion (Y3+), which will provide some useful information and new insights on the mineralization process and fractionation phenomenon of weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ores. The results showed that the equilibrium adsorption capacity of Y3+ is greater than La3+ under the same experimental conditions. The adsorption of rare earth ions presents strongly temperature dependent indicating an endothermic adsorption process. The pseudo-first-order kinetic model and the pseudo-second-order kinetic model were applied to discuss the adsorption kinetics. It was found that the adsorption rate of rare earth follows the pseudo-second-order kinetic model among the adsorption temperature range. Furthermore, the adsorption process of rare earth ions on kaolinite followed the Langmuir isotherm model confirmed by the correlation of experimental equilibrium data to standard isotherm model, Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms. The activation energies for the adsorption of La3+ and Y3+ on kaolinite are 28.1903 kJ/mol and 25.4190 kJ/mol, respectively. All kaolinite before and after adsorption were characterized by XRD and SEM-EDX to understand the adsorption mechanism. The obtained results suggested that the adsorption of La3+ and Y3+ on kaolinite is an endothermic and chemisorption process.
