In this paper, the key stratum theory is introduced in view of the small surface deformation value of the mining of thick coal mines in Gucheng Coal Mine. The analysis of geological drilling data in Gucheng Goal Mine determines three key strata groups and one main key stratum for controlling the surface deformation of the stratum above the No. 3 coal according to the stiffness and strength condition of the stratum. The breaking distance of the main key stratum in this Mine is determined to be 302–373.7 m in terms of the elastic foundation beam theory and the surface measured basin data. In addition, a large-scale separation model of the main key stratum of the five strip mining face of this Mine is established, and the quantitative calculation formula of the limit spanning of rock beam is proposed and applied to. Finally, the probability integral method is used to predict the surface deformation problem of multiple working faces, and the partition prediction is performed according to the key stratum breaking distance to obtain prediction values of surface deformation consistent with the fracture of key stratum in the study area.

Synthesized dihydroxylammonium 5,5’-bistetrazole-1,1’-diolate (TKX-50) owes its outstanding application prospects in the field of insensitive solid propellants not only to its high energetic performance but also to its low mechanical sensitivity. Based on the excellent catalytic activity of bimetallic iron oxides for the thermal decomposition of TKX-50, the catalytic mechanism of bimetallic iron oxides (NiFe2O4, ZnFe2O4 and CoFe2O4) for TKX-50 pyrolysis has been explored. For this study, the decomposition process of TKX-50, before and after mixing with the bimetallic iron oxides NiFe2O4, ZnFe2O4 and CoFe2O4 was monitored by in-situ FTIR and gas-phase MS-FTIR instruments. Of the different catalysts, ZnFe2O4 gave the best result for reducing the initial decomposition temperature of TKX-50. Additionally, the activation energy of functional group cleavage of TKX-50, before and after mixing with ZnFe2O4, was also calculated for mechanism analysis from the results of the in-situ FTIR measurements. The results showed that the condensate and the gas-phase decomposition products of TKX-50 remained unchanged after mixing with different catalysts, while the activation energy of tetrazole ring cleavage was significantly reduced. The results of this study will be helpful for the rational design of insensitive solid propellant formulations containing TKX-50, and for understanding the pyrolysis mechanisms of TKX-50 before and after mixing with the efficient catalyst ZnFe2O4.

Opis:
The development of an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) with an eye-in-hand robot arm atop for depressing elevator button is proposed. The AMR can construct maps and perform localization using the ORB-SLAM algorithm (the Oriented FAST [Features from Accelerated Segment Test] and Rotated BRIEF [Binary Robust Independent Elementary Features] feature detector-Simultaneous Localization and Mapping). It is also capable of real-time obstacle avoidance using information from 2D-LiDAR sensors. The AMR, robot manipulator, cameras, and sensors are all integrated under a robot operating system (ROS). In experimental investigation to dispatch the AMR to depress an elevator button, AMR navigation initiating from the laboratory is divided into three parts. First, the AMR initiated navigation using ORB-SLAM for most of the journey to a waypoint nearby the elevator. The resulting mean absolute error (MAE) is 8.5 cm on the x-axis, 10.8 cm on the y-axis, 9.2-degree rotation angle about the z-axis, and the linear displacement from the reference point is 15.1 cm. Next, the ORB-SLAM is replaced by an odometry-based 2D-SLAM method for further navigating the AMR from waypoint to a point facing the elevator between 1.5 to 3 meter distance, where the ORB-SLAM is ineffective due to sparse feature points for localization and where the elevator can be clearly detected by an eye-in-hand machine vision onboard the AMR. Finally, the machine vision identifies the position in space of the elevator and again the odometry-based 2D-SLAM method is employed for navigating the AMR to the front of the elevator between 0.3 to 0.5 meter distance. Only at this stage can the small elevator button be detected and reached by the robot arm on the AMR. An average 60% successful rate of button depressing by the AMR starting at the laboratory is obtained in the experiments. Improvements for successful elevator button depressing rate are also pointed out.

Storage reliability is of importance for the products that largely stay in storage in their total life-cycle such as warning systems for harmful radiation detection, and many kinds of defense systems, etc. Usually, the field-testing data can be available, but the failure causes for a series system cannot be always known because of the masked information. In this paper, the storage reliability model with possibly initial failures is studied on the statistical analysis method when the masked data are considered. To optimize the use of the masked survival data from storage systems, a technique based on the least squares (LS) method with an EM-like algorithm, is proposed for the series system. The parametric estimation procedure based on the LS method is developed by applying the algorithm to update the testing data, and then the LS estimation for the initial reliability and failure rate of the components constituting the series system are investigated. In the case of exponentially distributed storage lifetime, a numerical example is provided to illustrate the method and procedure. The results should be useful for accurately evaluating the production reliability, identifying the production quality, and planning a storage environment.

A linear $k$-coloring of a graph is a proper $k$-coloring of the graph such that any subgraph induced by the vertices of any pair of color classes is a union of vertex-disjoint paths. A graph $G$ is linearly $L$-colorable if there is a linear coloring $c$ of $G$ for a given list assignment $L = \{L(v) : v ∈ V(G)\}$ such that $c(v) ∈ L(v)$ for all $v ∈ V(G)$, and $G$ is linearly $k$-choosable if $G$ is linearly $L$-colorable for any list assignment with $|L(v)| ≥ k$. This paper examines the 1/3rd subharmonic resonance and the 3rd superharmonic resonance of simply-supported shape memory alloy (SMA) laminated beams. First, the dynamic equation for SMA laminated beams under transverse load is established using physical equations, force equilibrium conditions, the compatibility equation of deformation, and a constitutive model of SMA polynomial functions. Then, a differential equation for transverse vibration of the SMA laminated beams is derived by the Galerkin process assuming the boundary conditions for simply-supported beams. Next, the amplitude-frequency response equations for the 1/3rd subharmonic resonance and the 3rd superharmonic resonance of these beams are derived by an averaging method before their respective transition sets are calculated, and their amplitude-frequency response diagrams were plotted using singularity theory. The results show two different types of amplitude-frequency responses to nonlinear vibration under the 1/3rd subharmonic resonance and the 3rd superharmonic resonance: quasi-linear and hard characteristic. In the quasi-linear area, SMA thickness A does not make much difference to the response of the system, whereas in the hard-characteristics area, under the same excitation amplitude f, the resonance frequency increases with A. In the nonlinear area, SMA can obviously reduce vibration amplitude, but it is not obvious for the 1/3rd subharmonic resonance. The nonlinear solution of both the 1/3rd subharmonic resonance and 3rd superharmonic resonance are stable.

Na koniec metodę zweryfikowano w oparciu o przykład praktyczny.
In this paper we study the statistical analysis methods at different stages of reliability growth based on the monotone model. The changes of dynamic distribution parameters during test are modeled. Bayesian reliability growth models for multiple stages of reliability growth are given. Finally the method is validated by a practical example.

The propeller cavitation not only affects the propulsive efficiency of a ship but also can cause vibration and noise. Accurate predictions of propeller cavitation are crucial at the design stage. This paper investigates the feasibility of the Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes (RANS) method in predicting propeller cavitation in behind-hull conditions, focusing on four aspects: (i) grid sensitivity; (ii) the time step effect; (iii) the turbulence model effect; and (iv) ability to rank two slightly different propellers. The Schnerr-Sauer model is adopted as the cavitation model. A model test is conducted to validate the numerical results. Good agreement on the cavitation pattern is obtained between the model test and computational fluid dynamics. Two propellers are computed, which have similar geometry but slightly different pitch ratios. The results show that RANS is capable of correctly differentiating the cavitation patterns between the two propellers in terms of the occurrence of face cavitation and the extent of sheet cavitation; moreover, time step size is found to slightly affect sheet cavitation and has a significant impact on the survival of the tip vortex cavitation. It is also observed that grid refinement is crucial for capturing tip vortex cavitation and the two-equation turbulence models used – realizable k-ε and shear stress transport (SST) k-ω – yield similar cavitation results.

Due to the high frequency and great damage of flood disasters, it is important to reduce the flood peak when it goes through the reservoir. A hydraulic model which integrates the implicit equation of water balance, water head-discharge carves, and water head-storage carves together, is proposed to simulate the flood peak reduction of a small reservoir. The proposed method was employed to simulate the flood peak reduction in the Brown Bridge Reservoir, Michigan, US. The results show that the proposed method can simulate the flood peak reduction in a small reservoir, and the Brown Bridge Dam can reduce the flood peak when hundred-year floods go through. When all gates or spillways are fully opened, the initial water head of the reservoir significantly influences the capacity of flood peak reduction. When the initial water head of the Brown Bridge Reservoir is 240.18 and 241.40 m, the hundred-year flood peak would be reduced to 23.11 m3/s and 25.85 m3/s, respectively. By optimizing the gates or spillways, the hundred-year flood peak could be reduced. When the initial water head of the reservoir is 241.40 and 240.18 m, the hundred-year flood peak would be reduced to 17.98 and 16.54 m3/s, respectively

In order to obtain the damage and AE characteristics of deep granite, TAW-2000 electrohydraulic servo rigid testing equipment and PCI-2 acoustic emission acquisition system were used to clarify the relationship between AE characteristics and stress level under conventional triaxial and cyclic loading and unloading. The results show that: AE characteristic parameters such as counts and energy under different confining pressures have good consistency in reflecting cracks growth process, which correspond to the stress level of rock sample; Before the critical failure, the AE amplitude increases significantly and extremely high peak frequency and extremely low peak frequency began to appear; The phenomenon that peak frequency band number increases significantly can be used as the precursor of rock failure; The change trend of characteristic parameters, amplitude and peak frequency band were related to the stress level of rock, and the loading path has little influence on it, which verified the effectiveness of AE precursory feature recognition; FR value decreases continuously with the increase of cyclic stress level and overall trend is downward, which indicated that AE memory gradually decreases as the stress level increases; From the perspective of damage mechanics, the AE characteristics of rock before failure are explained reasonably by the development of damage rate.

To investigate the fluorine fixation of Bayan Obo rare-earth iron ores in beneficiation and metallurgy processes, the effect of three sodium agents, namely, sodium hydroxide, sodium carbonate, and sodium bicarbonate, on fluorine fixation under the action of microwaves was investigated using Xray diffraction, chemical detection, and orthogonal experiments. The effects of different types of sodium, roasting temperatures, sodium ratios, and roasting times on the fluorine fixation rate were evaluated. Results show that compared with conventional roasting, the fluorine fixation efficiency of Bayan Obo rare-earth iron ore under the action of microwave is superior after the formulation of the sodium agent, which is crucial for the study. Among the three sodium agents, the fluorine fixation effect of NaHCO3 can be used as the preferred sodium agent. Orthogonal experiments showed that the factors influencing the magnitude of the fluorine fixation rate are the roasting temperature, sodium agent ratio, and roasting constant temperature time in the order of priority. The optimal conditions for the fluorine fixation process are the microwave roasting temperature of 973.15 K, sodium bicarbonate ratio of 40%, and roasting time of 60 min. The highest fluorine fixation rate of 86.72% can be obtained. The findings of this study can provide a reference for the development of green and economic recovery processes for Bayan Obo rare-earth iron ores.

Adenylation domain (A domain) is a model of non-ribosomal peptide synthetases (NRPs), responsible for binding and activating the substrates-amino acids. In this study, a pGEX-2T-sare0718 recombinant plasmid (the gene sare0718 was cloned from Salinispora arenicola CNS-205, S.arenicola CNS-205) was transformed and expressed as a protein GST-Sare0718. Fluorescence quenching (FQ) was conducted to investigate the binding of 20 common amino acids to GST-Sare0718, then isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) also be used[changed]. The results of FQ revealed that intrinsic fluorescence of GST-Sare0718 is quenched steadily by addition of aspartic acid (Asp) and glutamine (Gln) through static quenching mechanism. The binding constants Ka are Asp (1.504×106 L/mol) ≥ Gln (1.468×105 L/mol). And there is one binding site on the protein GST-Sare0718. We confirmed Asp preference of GST-Sare0718 by ITC. Therefore, Asp is the specific substrate. In addition, the experimental data indicates that the prediction system, “the specificity-conferring code”, is not suitable for marine actinomycetes. So it is urgent to set up a special predictive system for marine actinomycetes.
